The bodies of two scouts from the Shadowdale Militia have been strung up in a tree at the Edge of the Cormanthor with a note beside them carved into a wooden post.
"Those who cross the Black Hand meet their doom earlier than others..."

The bodies were both cut down soon after they had put up.
