When the letter eventually makes its way to Cleo, he looks it over and makes arrangements with the Mornmaster to represent the Farms in this matter.

"Another new leader in a town so small. Pretty soon, every resident will have been given a chance to be in charge. Very egalitarian, I suppose."

Cleo tucks the letter away and begins the journey to Shadowdale, smiling at a chance to be home.

He arrives after the long journey to Shadowdale, just in time to learn that Martial Law had just been declared. He sees Commander Asha heading into the Old Skull Inn and follows her inside.

After a brief meeting, he exits and walks briskly toward the West, concern etched on his face. Within an hour, a Dawn Knight bearing a letter leaves town on horseback, riding swiftly for the City of Song.
