And she saunters to the gate

Zhara approached the main gate slow but surely, leaning on her staff for support as well as to make sure she didn't barrel into anyone. The land was good to her, she sort of knew where to go, because she had been before.

She regards one of the guards at the gate, blind eyes peering in his general direction, knowing where to look because of the sound of his armor, scraping and clinking.

    "Greetings... I'd have a word with whomever your boss is, please. If he's busy, I understand, but I would like to talk to them about what I'm hoping was a misunderstanding of sorts."  She gives the guard a weary smile as she awaits his reply. She looks no worse for wear, though the dark circles under her eyes would indicate exhaustion. Her hair hangs on her face, unkempt.

The guard looks her up and down before looking to a battle age who drinks a potion of detect undead and squints at her before nodding to the other guard who asks. "Name, business with shadowdale and what miss understanding?"

She lets out a puff of air to blow the wisps of hair on her face out of the way.

"I am Zhara Valeska of the lands of Rashemen. I'm here for rest as it's the only safe place I know currently" she says, voice tinged with wounded pride.

"As for the misunderstanding, one of the militia, someone who goes by the moniker of 'queen', a thug of a woman, recently expelled me from your town on threat of death for healing an Orc. Something I don't remember doing. I care little for orcs or petty prejudices. More over I am blind! If I did do this thing, how was I to know martial law was in effect?" Zhara points to her eyes, milky white with no discernible pupils and her voice incredulous.

"Where I am from, there is greater glory in killing what can fight back. She also accused me of speaking to dark spirits. I speak to the spirits of the land, not entirely unlike a Druid in some respects, but I focus on healing arts. I blame only her ignorance for that accusation."

She pauses a moment and gives the guard a thoughtful look.

"Please let whomever commands know if the authority does not fall on you to make a decision. I promise to behave." She gives a tired smile.

The guard looks at her in disbelief before saying. "You just stay there for a moment..." He would say before sending a runner to request Nadin come to the gate to handle this elf matter.

OOC:
Just a clarification - she isn't full blooded elf. She's half elf but the only elvish looking thing about her is her ears being pointed somewhat. Otherwise she just looks like a slightly slimmer human female.

OOC :good to know, guard still sends for Nadin.

The runner Returns and whispers something to the guard who then looks back to the blind woman. "You allowed in, respect the law and its enforcers and enjoy your stay in shadowdale."

A look of relief flows across her face as she nods and walks in, occasionally tapping the ground with her stick as she does so.
