Ironhouse on the Road

From the top of the tower Thane Valtore watched Dame Bryanna lead the dwarves out to the Lyon's forest. Hopefully he would join his kin soon. He rubbed his tired eyes then once more turned to the steps leading to his prized books. Hope full he would find the clues to the Liche's wife soon. It may give them the break they desperately needed. In the last few weeks he had discovered nothing of value. Soon he hoped before everything was turned to dust.

The long shadows of the setting sun around Ironhouse's halls herald the return of the Hall's warriors. Long, dreary blasts of dwarven horns foreshadow the butcher's bill of victory as the small contingent of stouts marches steadily back to the halls. Two dwarfs to each stretcher, and a third walking before each fallen warrior, holding the dead warrior's longhammer with their family crest etched into the side. The dwarven procession circles the halls three times, funeral voices raised in a funeral dirge that does a call and response back and forth between the two before they turn and march down into the halls to inter their dead and begin the process of honoring the life and sacrifice of each of the fallen.

Asha Ironoath's corpse is carried with the dwarfs, given the same honorable treatment as she fought and died alongside the Clan.

Valtore has all present in the Halls line the bridge. They stand at attention and watch as the Honored dead are carried with in. The bodies are taken to the Dwarven Temple where the Head Priest will see to their spiritual needs before they are laid in the crypts with full Honor. As for the body of Asha, if her homeland is known word would be sent. They place her body in the Temple as well and hopefully her religious beliefs are on own to someone so they can help her move on. Beyond that she is placed in the general crypts for those who have died in aiding the clan and it's allies.

Once the bodies have all passed to the Temple, Thane Valtore quietly returns to his tower.
