MIA Paladin

Those who have seen Ivaris lately might notice he has become quite distant.  He doesn't stay to talk nor is he even seen very often.  Those who do catch him might notice he seems very distracted.  He is in a hurry everywhere he goes.  Something is just off to those who know him.

After Ivaris' comments to him during/immediately after the events in Shadowdale, Jonah waits for a moment to stop Ivaris while he is alone.

"Brother. We need to talk." He says gravely, and lacking in his usual mirth.

As ever, the eerie Zazieri can be found lingering near him whenever she can, occasionally struggling to keep up with the man's hurried pace. She doesn't say much, having not truly rested since her efforts of healing and resurrections in Shadowdale.

With Zii following after him, Ivaris stops as Jonah speaks to him.  "Very well Brother, what is it you wish to say?"

After some time trying to chase the man down, Jonah is in a much greater hurry than he otherwise might have been. He approaches Ivaris, and embraces his brother.

"I wish to say... that I am sorry, and that this is for your own good."

Jonah reaches up to touch Ivaris' face, but pulls his hand back -- he cannot bring himself to use force against his Brother. He looks to Zii and pleads silently for her help. Jonah meets Ivaris' withering gaze again with strength of purpose.

"Ivaris... You must come with me. Now. It is not a request."

Zazieri doesn't offer a reply, but instead raises an eyebrow upon the vaguely awkward sight of a scarred old man caressing the face of her paladin. She keeps her hand held up, a dimly-glowing lantern casting a bit of light even should it be bright day, and her other hand slips up to link fingers with Ivaris. She'd give a slight hip-bump to the taller, armored man, nodding to Jonah in suggestion to hear him out.

Ivaris links fingers with Zii as he keeps his gaze on Jonah, he looks awkwardly to the old man as he caresses his face.  He lofts a brow and shifts his eyes right and left a few times.

"Brother, are you feeling alright?  What is this all about?"

((For the record, Jonah stopped short of touching Ivaris))

"I need you to come with me to Myth Drannor for a day or two. There are... rumors, that need to be addressed, and Laura and I could also use your help in an important task that we are helping Cleophus with."

Jonah holds up a hand ahead of Ivaris' protest; "I know there is still much to do here, and I am not asking you to be derelict in your duties -- it pains me equally that I cannot do more, and that I am pulled away so in so many directions -- I'm asking you to trust me, and to help me with others."

"I-I wouldn't mind seeing you and Laura, I'll go."

He glances to Zii, "Will you be coming or staying?"

Zii would shrug gently, and she'd follow with.

"Very good, then..." Jonah bows to the both of them, and leads the way to Myth Drannor.
