Elektra grins, looking out over the landscape

Raises a brow slightly at Lia's change before quietly speaking.

"What is it what do you see?

Tired of waiting, the Ruathen just decides to go get the damn Hounds. To hell with orders!

The man hurries down the tower and through the halls. When he gets outside he heads towards the Hounds fort by way of the plains.

If followed, the man would cloak himself in a spell to help him blend in better with his surroundings and duck into thick brush to lose the tail. ((mundane hips, hide 36, ms 24 ))

Unexpectedly, Elektra casts meteor storm beyond the walls , but above the ground, lighting up the landscape and causing those with night vision to endure the brilliant flashes to their eyes. Just as fast , she casts again to the east. The intent is both to expose enemy as well as disrupt their ability to see in the dark.

Seeing the balls of fire falling from the sky, Jaerlsvir picks up the pace and rushes silently through the brush to the forts.

The sudden flash of light causes her to grimace and reflexively shut her eyes against the flare. She attempts to blink away some annoying spots in her periphery as her eyes adjust to the sudden change in the light level. It doesn't take long, however, for her vision to return to peak efficiency.

"This place is a vithing circus..." she thinks to herself.

As Elektra prepared the spells, Sylira said in an urgent voice that wouldn't carry very far "Close your eyes. Big light coming." She would follow the advice herself...once the initial flare wore off the priestess opened her eyes and said to the people in the nearby towers "Open your eyes...look for enemies creeping about again! Call out locations!"

((Lira's Scan is crap, so I doubt she'd see anything. Maybe WR can tell us what the guards' chances of spotting an enemy is? How about Lia and Gerhardt and others on the towers?))

With the area lit up for a short time, Gerhardt would scan the area from his position on the roof.

Alasha 'Ur Kassalem, a seething boil of hate, vengeance and murderous intent, kept in a lean body of well practiced and agile moves. ( Dex 28 "+9" , Str 16 , Int  22  before buffs of Cat's Grace and Fox's Cunning )  . . . Aches for the joy of killing. It has been over a day since she practiced on a living being, and she craves.  She normally would struggle between orders given , and her own internal drive.. . . but this. .was more than the strongest mind could resist.

An enemy suddenly appearing to her in such moment was just too too much to not react. From her hiding position ( HIPS from level 10 Assassin ), she strikes !
   one hand flies forth with a short sword ( +1 and 1d4 electric ) towards the base of the neck , no matter which way the target faces, initially ramming the point in, then her body weight is used to "fall past" the target, ripping the blade through flesh and vital structures as she goes. **
  The second hand, as she falls, strikes for a thigh, preferably high near the body junction , with a Kukri ( +2) ^^

**   the first weapon, if it hits as intended, severs any and many of the following : Ascending caraotid artery ( rapid blood fountain ) , Brachial Plexus nerve tree ( that arm is paralysed ), strap muscle series ( unable to turn head, or look down ), Trachia below larynx ( voice box which now has little air pressure to work ), Vagus nerve ( which slows heart, and if cut, the heart beats uncontrolled, possible leading to heart attack ) ,   and if a critical strike were to happen. .. Spinal damage ( lessor most likely ) but the electric shock of the weapon could easily stun the spinal nerves, leading to body paralysis.  (( this is not even counting Death Attack and Sneak attack effects ))
^^   The second weapon is intended to hit either Femoral Artery ( bleeder you cant stop in time ) - target facing attack mostly   - , and or -  Lumbar Plexus of nerves ( ability to use the leg on that side ) -target facing away mostly.

The masked black robed priest just keeps watching from a distance propped up against a tree.

Seeing her companion taken down so swiftly and brutally, Felyn pauses for but a short moment. "Should I intervene? No. It would be my death. I need to keep moving." A split-second of indecision and then she continues toward the extraction point. "You will be a avenged, brother. That elg'caress will feel my blade on her throat one day.

[D] "Shadows embrace you, Dusk..." she whispers to herself as she darts through the trees and further into the darkness.

Alasha 'Ur , confident the mark has been neutralized, streaks off on foot, leaving what ever quivering bloody mess there was , behind for others to deal with.
As she goes, one hand draws an arrow,while the other pulls out one of her oil pouches ( Warrior of Darkness) and slips the oil on the arrow , soon to burst into flame as it contacts air.
Letting the near empty pouch fall from her grasp, she lifts her bow, as she passes through the brush quickly.
Mid stride , she looses the flaming arrow into the sky towards the general direction of the Keep.
The signal for enemy contact has been made for all to see.

Elektra watches the fires raging out in the woods.
She knows her spell could not have caused this much.
" Advisors ! Speak freely... The enemy is burning off the cover they could use to hide behind ... They better not send me a bill for helping us that way ( smirks ) ... Do they expect us to run out there , leaving our walls , to put the fire out???
Might we gather every Druid there is now ? Seems this enemy wants a real challenge, if they keep pushing folks to join our side ...

Gerhardt moves closer to Elektra and speaks to her in calm and confident manner.

"Hard to say what their intentions are but.. perhaps they are trying to gather all their enemies to a single point. Multiple birds, one stone or they wish our allies to vacate their positions for the real attack."

Gerhardt scans the area a moment before turning back to her.

"I will take up position on the wall by the gate, with the men. Unless you order otherwise."

"Follow the wisdom of war, Captain. The men do need you, so certainly, be with them, And commend them as you see fit. I will be watching from the tower and will share information as we perceive , and recieve.
They could be simply gaging our reactions so they know how to better form their strategy... That is what I would do. Make sure the long Bowman are prepared to fire for air assault, as soon as there's enough light to see.
Remind the men : dispel magic wands can reduce the enemy to simple targets, magic resistance scrolls can keep us strong. There may yet be a few surprises for both sides."
