The Lost Blade Empty
PostSubject: The Lost Blade   The Lost Blade EmptyMon Sep 28, 2015 12:20 am

As the sun peaked over the horizon and dew settled upon the blades of grass. It was another bleak day in Shadowdale. A man wearing some worn out leather for armor, ragged hair and missing teeth walked in from the east. A sack slung over his shoulder with some items stuffed in, most noticeable would be a Katana sticking out from the side.

The man made his way to where most adventurers find themselves to pawn off their findings. Once inside he lays out all his new finds, mentioning to the man tending the store that he found them just sitting there on the North Ride for all to see.

Any who pay attention would notice the blades in particular belong to a woman named Tikka.

Should Jerrek happen to see these blades while the peddler was still around, he would turn to the man calmly. Speaking slowly, his tone conversational, if only a bit demanding, he would ask a question.

"When and where did you say you found these, my friend? And please....do not lie to me."

The frayed hair man looks to Jerrek and grins. "Just up ta' road a ways. Between here and that big 'ol fort. You looking to buy them?"

Jerrek would grind his teeth, still speaking calmly.

"I might be. Which fort do you speak of? There are....quite a few around here."

The man cleaned out his ear with a finger then looked at his findings, a ball of orange coloured wax. "The ones on the North Ride." He looked up and grinned again, his finger wiping his pants. "How about a thousand pieces."

Jerrek would nod.

"A thousand coins will do. Thank you, my friend."

He would pass the man a sack of gold* and take the swords carefully.

"How long ago did you find them?"

*Gold can be taken in game. \\

The man smiles wide as he took the gold. "Last night I did. Before I shared my camp with another wanderin' soul. Even them bandits were no where to be seen."

"Was there anything else you saw? Anyone unusual? Shady? A woman with orange hair?"

Despite the conversational tone he was using, the questions he was asking would seem a bit more insistent on an answer.

"Orange hair. Na just a fellow with a big sword, didn't talk much." The man peaked into the coin sack and smiled.

Jerrek would grind his teeth in irritation. A man with a big sword that didn't talk much. That literally described half of the people in the dales.

"Thank you for your time, my friend. Have a pleasant day."

Leaving the shop, swords strapped to his back, Jerrek would make his way to Two Forts. He was going to question everyone there until he found someone with some actual, viable information.
