The Reconstruction of Shadowdale

First event: Starts Sunday Nov. 29th; No particular time, but I'm going to be around noonish EST.
*Note!: There may be a lot of you, and I'm certain some of you could knock all of this out in three days. Please try to find one area you want to concentrate on, and allow there to be gaps in your work so others may be able to fill those in and feel included. (aka, Don't go doing ALL of the objectives leaving little room for others.) Remember to share this information around so newer players may know what is going on. (please direct other people to this post if you can.)

Commander Vorrick has sent out a decree. Since the final Elder has all but slipped into retirement, the Commander will be taking point in the leadership of Shadowdale until proper authority can be re-established. The first missive, and mission of the Commander is thus:


Adventurers and Locals of Shadowdale,

We have had enough of our lands being destroyed and falling to the mercy of poor judgement and corrupting forces. Now that the horde begins to fade, we need to start picking up the pieces. We will rebuild, and we will persevere.

**These are the tasks that need completion to move forward. They are meant to be goals that can be achieved with or without a DM presence. I will be setting up a thread where screenshots can be posted as proof of tasks done if you feel inclined to rp without a DM. I am hoping for this event to last a week or so, so please do not expect this to be done in single day. However, the more you complete the greater the rewards.**

General Tasks to be completed:

-Cleaning up debris
           *Town hall area
           *Hospital
           *Fields
           *Abandoned Houses

-Mining for resources
           *Iron ore (I can't just say stone..so...we'll use this item.)
           *Quartz
           *Onyx
           *Fluorspar

Specailized tasks to be completed:

-Crafting foundation materials
           *Nails/screws/ect
           *bricks/stone/cornerstone
           *Glass
-Fire resistant ward
           *Spell components
           *General research
-Medical team
           *General first aid
           *healers tent

Group Specific tasks:

-Doomguides: Cleansing the grounds

-Druids/Rangers:  Supplies gathered
                *Dead wood
                *Vine rope
                *Leather

Crafting Recipes

Since we can't have you making nails, and glass, and things of that ilk in game, I have devised recipes for you crafters. Keep in mind, materials you use CANNOT BE USED as resources donated for building. One or the other. I can't keep an eye on you all the time so I'm using the honor system here.

Nails/Screws/ect: Approximately 1 a day
-1 iron bar per bucket

Bricks/Stone/Masonry: Approximately 2 a day
-5 iron bars
-4 quartz
-4 onyx

Glass: Approximately 3 a day
-10 fluorspar

Item Gathering

This is new, I'm experimenting with it. Basically, if you gather mining materials, you can donate them to the cause for building supplies for the NPC workers. The more you donate, the faster the next event will move, and the more rewards you'll gain.

I will be around today to collect, and be there for your mischief.

This weekend:

ok this is what I want to do. I have parts of this weekend free, and I'd like to get us 'building' this weekend. Which will mean, you lot will...well.. build. I will be around Sat and Sunday to do events corrisponding to the building, and then if we ask our builder really nicely, we might have it done and done!

I'll be around Sat 1PMish EST time till whenever we finish, and Sunday I'll be around after I finish a smaller closed event (around the same time.)

Hey folks, plans have changed

I will not be free Saturday. I will however, be free for Sunday. So I'll be around most of Sunday afternoon. It will be around 1 PM we start, and I'll linger around afterwords.

I should be around with Milo to help with the building.

Noonish EST translates to late afternoon - early evening CET.

Your favorite fire ranger might pop by to angrily point out few things about cows and nutrition.

Sorry my plans kept changing this weekend.

I have a two hour block from 12-2pm EST time open today. I can do it then.

We will be starting in 10-20 min.

When is this going to be done again?

Yes! Right now I am wrestling with if I can do it Friday or Saturday.

Does anyone have a preference? I think right now I can move plans around to one or the other.

Friday would be towards 3-4Pm EST time

Saturday I could do earlier in the day.

After 11pm British summer time (not sure what that is in est.) Is alright with me. After 7pm bst on Saturday is also fine
