Darthirii heads

As dawn breaks near the borders of the Cormynthor ,nearer to the elven camp, the heads of an Akh'velar mage and fighter are impaled on crudely sharpened wooden shafts. A small note is affixed to the middle of one of the shafts at each location.

Usstan offered parley to your insolent darthirii sargatlin and faern. They offered offered violence in return, now they are dead and useless. They died as they lived, without understanding that the Cormynthor is for the Illythirii as well. Stop being idiots darthirii.  When parley is offered, have the sense in your small minds to accept it. We are naut spider fornicating filth, do naut treat us as such.

Tracks followed would lead the elves on a wild chase through the Cormynthor, leading them nowhere, and everywhere. parts of the bodies may be found eventually in the Edgewood and Midwood, but have certainly been chewed upon by the local wildlife.

"This is an OUTRAGE!" , the Mathor squeals upon seeing the heads. "Take them down immediately! No one must see this. No one needs such haunting memory, and none of us needs a reminder of who we are dealing with. These will be buried with honor on the soil of our home."
After a long moment of silence and obvious emotion, the final words were spoken through clenched teeth.
"Find them, these vile monsters, who claim to be better than those of the underdark. We will show the same kindness they gave to us !"

There is a public outcry as news of the event eventually spread among the population of the city... angry parties demand something be made to avenge the fallen and ensure the roads coming and going into the city as well as the surrounding areas are "free and secure for the People, by the People".

Rumor has it that some of the more reactionary groups are taking this as a sign that opening the city to Shadowdale and other foreign parties is equating to inviting an enemy to one's home, and that the Akh'Velhar's efforts and competence are questionable if they are being bested by the enemies of the City.

Some whispers of vows made to avenge the fallen and that even Eldreth Veluuthra companies were discreetly seeking to take in those willing to act in the defense of Myth Drannor's interest against foreign threats begin to surface.

The Coronal's Court is quite outspoken and clear with the fact that measures are already underway and that solid and reliable military movements to respond with force and finality to this issue are being taken. There is a call to not place blame where it does not belong, as this is clearly the work of Mori'Quessir. Whether this falls on deaf ears or not remains to be seen, as the sentiment of anger and vulnerability seems to be very pronounced...

If any Akh'velhar patrol pass into Edgeland they would notice something off. Through the falling snow few symbols of Auril is shattered about, two created with ice on a rock surface. two created by smaller stones placed into the symbol on the ground.

A glittering text by frost can be seen under one of the ice symbol.



If anyone tries to remove the symbols and text they would find it easy and without much risk, the ice symbol feel much colder then expected though.
