A Letter to High Priestess Maya

Greetings

We are certain you must be aware of how widely different Kin see the Ilythiiri. We hold within our culture those who would accept the redeemed Ilythirri, the children of Eilistraee, and also those who would hunt all Ilythiiri down no matter their beliefs or way.

A situation has arisen where we must answer what to do with the children, some babes in arms, of slain Dhaerow. We cannot take them into the City of Song yet these children may be redeemed from the evil path of their parents, if they are not to old, and to slay the children of even the Dhaerow is a last resort.

We ask you, would the Temple of Eilistraae be willing to think of accepting these orphans? We don not think the numbers are so great as to cause a strain. It would be easier lives for them to be reared among women and men familiar with the Ilythiiri race and whom will feel a form of kinship with them that is impossible among my Kin. In Our City they could not be accepted, and these are children whom have already lost their parents and were brought up in a wicked and loveless way.
