She has not been in the region for very long. Just over a week judging by her journal. Yes.. so much has happened she needs to check her journal to make sure she is living in the correct day still.

On her second day in the Dales she met Sherne. A man who she knew of even before coming to the region. She did not expect to meet him so soon. Or in the manner that she had met him. (That is another story). It took Svenja (Stark) a single hour to inform Armathor of her intentions in the region. She also informed him of her relationship with people he had known from earlier months, going on over a year now, to help hammer home her credentials.

She is here to help. To help with the war against the Zhentarim, and any other force that is out to disturb the peace or create unwarranted, wanton, destruction for those at Myth Drannor.

On her third day in the region she found herself exploring the refugee camp outside of Myth Drannor. A few of the "borderline" triage patients that had been deemed more likely to survive, than others, found themselves treated by her own hand with her own resources. She did not spend too long there, she did not want to remove from the healers their role. Not much later, that hour, Svenja found herself walking towards a rather large, somewhat ramshackle, building in the Lathandar Farming community. It turned out to be an Orphanage.

"That?... An orphanage?".

She had to go inside. And, so she did. She saw (and did not see) many things that inspired a powerful desire to assist. To protect those whom she felt some-what related to. They had no real family anymore, they were sort of in-between. Much like Svenja, though Svenja was never an orphan, nor did any major tragedy befall her family. Not since before she left for her training anyways.

She cannot really explain it. But she wants to do it. She wants to help.

Every day since Svenja has donated some of her personal coin at the temple. She has done so with directions, hoping that all of the funds she donates will find its way to the Orphanage, but who knows? Especially since she asked that the donations be kept anonymous.

She is willing to do whatever it takes. In fact she would prefer to have a helping hand (or both of her helping hands) involved in the direct labours required to improve the place. She will help round up livestock, train with the cook to improve the quality of food, work fields to bring in more food stocks, assist smiths to help with creating tools and repair jobs. She will assist carpenters for similar reasons... whatever it takes.

She wants to see more art, more toys, hear more music. Svenja has even been collecting books and safe scrolls she finds while adventuring to try and build a small library for the children to practice their writing and reading skills... These are just -some- of the things she has in mind for the Orphanage.

In the mean time she has taken to writing small ads and leaving near the tents by the camp-fire just outside the Inn near to Myth Drannor. The ads state that she is looking for a skilled carpenter, a skilled smith, willing farmers and herders, as well as non-humans with skills in fine arts as well as the academics. The ad does not state why, though the last line of the add reads: "Payment to be decided upon consensual agreement."

The ad is signed: "S.Stark" in long, bold, and flourishing letters.

He added an answer under one of the notes.

"We can teach the orphans to fish. I in the river and Bear in streams and creeks. Both ways are good ways for caring for yourself and others. I can also do basic interior carpentry, know a bit about farming and medical plants. Plus animal husbandry of course. And I can sail a boat."

I paid a visit to the orphanage. It might be the case that the "leaking roof" is not a leaking roof at all but a leaking bathtub on the floor above."
