Mustang brought up the idea of making armor specific to drow house I believe there are 2 player driven/made houses?

Anyways we'd like to hear from those players what colors their armor would be

If I can suggest instead of armor, a house insignia? It's supposed to be a big deal for drow, as far as I understand. Some sort of amulet with slightly different properties for role and house would be nice.

Dabelkith has been sporting red cloaks, not an offical standard but lids fashion caught on and has become a norm for us.

We definitly love this idea. We have been tossing around a few ideas in our Zau'Afin private forums. But we lack the knowledge on how to make it and get it imported. The insignia on a cloak seems to be the best and easiest. Zau'Afin is still uncertain on the cloak colors. We would need to vote.

But overall yes this is a hearty thumbs up! And yes there currently are two houses.

I can look for some drowish cloaks as far as getting a actual insignia in..well still looking for modelers we are hoping by offering to help test RWS products we can get their aid in some custom things, no promises on that yet but we're trying to throw the large size server weight about the community

Yes the Duegar should look smart ... dazzle them with your fancy armor since you are more apt to do more damage to yourselves than your enemies so you may as well look good before you die Twisted Evil

I like the idea of House Armor or Cloak insignia if possible.. for us more religious types Diety emblems on cloaks would be nice

It depends on the power of the House's enchanter, honestly. In all the lore I've seen, it's simply what a well-made Qu'ellar cloak is called.

From Races of Faerun.

Drow House Insignia:

These metal tokens are normally worn
on a chain or in a pouch tied around the neck. Each bears a
symbol of a noble house from a particular drow city and requires
a secret command word to activate.
An insignia has a single
minor magical ability that can be used once per day, usually a 1st,
2nd, or 3rd-level spell.
Those of powerful drow often have multiple
abilities of various power levels.
Typical spells for a house
insignia are blur, cat’s grace, cloak of dark power, comprehend
languages, feather fall, jump, levitate, read magic, scatterspray,
shield, spider climb, unseen servant, and water breathing.

Each insignia is slightly different, even those of the same
noble house, so it is possible that a person aware of the unique
shape of a person’s insignia can magically locate that person.

Caster Level: 5th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item,
appropriate spell; Market Price: 360 gp (1st-level ability), 2,160
(2nd-level ability), or 5,400 (3rd-level ability); Weight: 1 lb.

Greater Piwafwi:

These dark-colored cloaks have all the abilities
of a cloak of elvenkind and also provide the benefit of endure
elements (fire), negating 5 points of fire damage per round.
(Lesser piwafi are simply cloaks of elvenkind.)

Caster Level: 5th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item,
endure elements, invisibility, creator must be a drow; Market
Price: 6,100 gp; Weight: 1 lb.

From the Underdark Book

Death Armor (Drow):
This +3 glamered shadow slick silent
drowcraft spiked leather armor is legendary.
While wearing it,
an Underdark assassin can complete his mission under almost
any conditions and in any guise. In addition to its other properties,
it allows the wearer to use greater invisibility (caster level
8th) on himself once per day, as a standard action.
Strong varied; CL 12th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, contingency,
disintegrate, greater invisibility, drow; Price 75,730 gp;
Cost 37,970 gp + 3,021 XP.

Also from Underdark

Drowcraft:
Drowcraft armors were once common, but they
have fallen out of everyday use in many drow cities.
Drowcraft
armor provides a +2 deflection bonus to Armor Class if the
wearer is in an earth node or area of faerzress. Outside these
areas, the deflection bonus is lost, but the armor otherwise
functions normally.

Drowcraft armor that is exposed to sunlight must make a DC
8 Fortitude save or dissolve utterly. A new save at the same DC
is required for each day of exposure. Covered armor and armor
exposed to indirect light (such as indoors) are still vulnerable to
this effect, but a drowcraft armor can be kept safe indefinitely
inside a lead-lined case. A drowcraft armor treated with darkoil
(see Special Items, above) is immune to the effects of sunlight.

Strong abjuration; CL 12th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor,
contingency, disintegrate, drow; Price +1 bonus.

Dabel'kith also has their insignia as you can see from our signatures, ... it'd be nice to have that in particular ingame as well if possible... if we could get that ingame we could probably phase out our red cloaks as having been 'placeholders'

I would like the insignia and the red cloaks Cal. I love it when there is a group of people standing around all wearing red cloaks.

Yeah, I'm liking he red cloaks, I'd rather see an insignia added to it than have the color replaced. If it can be done, at least.

Sorry, I'd rather not get involved again in the NWN2 scene since I know myself enough to know how it would end. Vekin knows.

I can give you precise directions though.
