A local elven druid paid a visit to the Lathander Farms one brisk summer morning. The moon elf woman wandered the farms most of the day, educating the younger generations both human and elf on how to care for the land around them. She preached about the cycle of Life and the Balance of Nature. The druids also taught them how to plant trees, properly care of plants, and test plants for edibility. She later taught how to hunt for food and not waste anything taken in a hunt, how each part of the animal had a use. The Silvanite preached against hunting for the mere sport of it, unless what is hunted is to be given to others, but discouraged overhunting and encouraged only taking what they need from the forests.
When old trees are felled, plant new ones so that the land may replenish itself. If in need of firewood, find alternatives such as grass logs or trees that have either already died or have fallen over. When hunting game, avoid harming those with young so that the wilds may keep populated. When livestock are attacked by wolves, do not hunt wolves down to extinction but simply redirect your hunters so that the wolves too have food and need not harass the livestock.
By late afternoon, she called out to the trees and summoned several avian species to come to her and showed the children and any willing to watch which songs belong to which bird. She remained there for most of the day and enjoyed the company she shared with those willing to learn about the wilds.
