A dead body is found just outside of Shadowdale

The mutilated dead bodies of Kovun Mauler and his fiendish wolf are found one morning just oustide of Shadowdale lying on the road leading to the ranger camp. The bodies show marks of talons and teeth wich have torn them more or less apart.
On the body lies a bloody parchement with a short note:

"This fate will befall all those who follow the Beastlord. You will be hunted and killed without mercy. All steps necessary to ensure the sacred balance will be taken. The gods of fury and their followers are abominations who will not be tolerated.
