The crafting of a pair of rings

As Ariyana sat in the main hall with Reilen and another drow in the process of conversion, Mith Secured the door to the work roomw ith the forges and the work tables. Mith laid our the tools he would need for the first of the two piece project, a pair of rings for two of the temples members. The drow fired up the forge the sond roaring as he heated it up past the oint needed for mithrill almost to the temperature needed for Adamantine. The regents he required had taken much effort to procure some being ordered from far away lands other taking him and others much time hunting them in the wilds.


As repeated attempts by Ania, to get his attention are ignored, he crushes several diamonds and other precious gems into a fine powered along with other powerful regents. he sets some Mithril in the forge and begins melting it, then going back to the anvil where he is preparing the gems. It was the first project he had undertaken in some time th
at was for more than the purpose of combat. No this was not a weapon or armor but something solely meant to preserve life itself for the wearers. Reilen's voice was added to the mix of those trying to get his attention yet still he ignored them all.

it had been a couple months ago during a gathering he had heard the new of the Bonding, and he had emediatly set his plan in motion, increasing the output of magical items and shipping of Full-plate made of iron to those places he knew would put it to good use, as well as pay decent coin. Still keeping up with his duties to the temple, his students and other missions, he managed to keep this secret project on track. The sounds outside the work room quieted... perhaps they had given up, that or their ears were pressed to the door in an effort to determine what he was doing. He took from his personal storage area a small mold he had Made of Ilmryll's hand not so long ago, though now there was a gem set in what would be the top of a ring carved into the mold.

As the mithrill finally melts he then takes the regents he has carefully prepared and mixes them into the molten liquid, He begins casting the required spells over the liquid. as it finally takes on the correct hue, Ania once more tries to get his attentions, Once more she is ignored. Using the Skimmer he scrapes the impure metals from the surface losing only a small percentage of the mixture. He grabs the tongs and Lifts the urn from the coals and slowly moves it over to the mold of Ilmryll's hand. He sets his feet and braces his elbows at his sides and begins to pour the mixed mithrill into the mold, filling the entire hand shaped cavity. He sets the now empty urn onto the cooling rock and goes back to the mold.

A half an hour passes before he cracks the mold open, the first of the pair of rings is done, a rare smile crosses the usually impassive wizards face. he hears the two outside thinking he is rebuilding a defective lock, something that is most assuredly outside his skill set. Using an magically sharp etching tool he etches something into the finished ring all the while mouthing a prayer to the dark Maiden, once finished he sets the ring in a small box and puts it in a pouch.

After a few moments to towel of the sweat and re-don on his armor the drow wizard finally unbolts the door to the work room*
