Blue's Journey

After a letter and a comunication device is sent to the coronal and fflar by royal guard, Blue can be seen in camp on occasions or mainly in myth drannor proper stocking up on supplies..

When asked he simply says it is nothing they need know nor worry about.. It is his journey alone to take if he needs help he would send for it..

he has but yet one more thing to do before setting off and thats turn his key and cloak over to the armathor fflar..

in the mean time he can be seen practicing magic when and where he sees fit regardless of what others say or think he basicaly doesnt show much if any concern for it anymore.. he does what he wants when he wants.. he has earned that right.

when asked if he will be back he says its up to the goddesses he worships but he most likely will be..

he often talks to the boat man and sol'mah asking questions of some place long forgot or a simply lightly guarded town with the fewest zhents in it..

he often opens a portal and takes his supplies to what is often seen as an old estate presumably his ancestors home recently cleared with much help.. he sets this as his base of operations and wards it completely against all except any he invites.. he as well set up contengency spells all around it...

he can often be spotted on occasions in many disguises mostly human form or a form fitting where he travels..

most of the lesser beings or lesser knowing people have refered to him as elminsters double which he simple waves of an dismisses it.. he is simply nothing more than an old mage on a pilgrimage to an unknown holy place..

or a simple semi magicaly inclined student in persuits of studying nature and cultures..

in his journey he is bound to come across some towns that will welcome him in any disguise and some that will likely chase him out by lench mob which he doesnt seem to be bothered with he will simply blind them and vanish into an area safe to open a portal and start again..

he often wonders and thinks of myth drannor and his ancestral home that once was.. he talks to his familar when he isnt studying magical items he finds along his travels or practicing rituals or just plaine reading a book he finds for the fun of it..

on occasions he will visit myth drannor mainly to speak to old friends and restock supplies..

some days he is able to take out 5 or 6 drow some days he barely escapes with his life.. he shrugs it off heals rests and goes back out in due time ...

having returned to myth drannor for supplies he runs into his brother who tells him what he was told..

Brother i was just informed that our house is thought of as selfish.. and asks for what it hasnt earned..

blue listens and immediately sends his brother to get the other they meet he carries lorien with him and the two brothers grab the supplies blue opens a portal and they walk thru the portal snaps shut..

only thing could be heard was we will talk about this privately and decide what is best for us to do.. in the mean time lets focus our anger where it is best used and kill these drow and other creatures from our ancient home lands..

after much time goes by a noticable tactic seems to work best with just them three of ambush and hide then run and ambush again..

at one point it worked so well it turned to parties of drow against each other while they sat back an laughed inside with out making a sound..

they attempted it again but unlike the first time it didnt work much after only managing to get a few to fire on each other the first was best by fire splitting the group of 20 up and having them openly attack each other finishing off the few survivors left..

each time they are wearing totaly different outfits and in cleverly constructed guises by blue

they use garilla style tactics often if spotted the drow see a few versions and each time the discription changes to point they think there is atleast 50 or more hunting them..

everytime they think they kill one another shows up and when inspected they find nothing but earth where the body should be..

blue has been utilizing mirror images and glass doplegangers as well as magical traps and his brothers useing same or laying deadly traps and calling forth the earth itself to reach up and grab the drow.. no better ally than mother nature it self they say..

by now they have killed at least 50 or so burning the bodies as they go often taking a body part as proof also to keep count.. once the tally is calculated they then burn each piece of proof as well.. those they come across to wounded to move but other wise alive are dealt with accordingly and finished off usualy with a quick little one liner from each as they do..

they meet back at their base of operations usualy taken many portals to move around and long walks down untraveled paths to mislead any trying to track them as well as doubleing back and using contraptions tied to their waste to cover tracks and mislead pursuers..

blue informs them he will go back to as they refer now md and investigate and speak with people on the matter that was brought to him.. he order them to stay behind and only come thru to get supplies as he leaves them and most importantly guard his wife and unborn child.. if anything goes wrong they are to send her thru as well as them selves and blast the area with the scrolls he gave them as one of the precautions he set up the other side will automaticaly close it self trapping who ever comes thru in an interdimensional prison..

having stated what he heard and really doesn't care either way stay or leave he decides to take his youngest brother and go dig some nasty traps and pre set and area for their next battle telling his brother " lets give them some time alone to discuss this. "

they leave and go dig some deep holes laced with wooden spears at the bottom carefully staging the next battle area leaving only the smallest sign for blue to notice alone of where not to step that would go unnoticed by almost all others..

they also do a random patrol even further out doing an ambush style hit and run on about 6 drow.. they get them spread out further apart and one using his stealth will slit a drows throat at the end and swiftly dragging the body off while others look the opposite way for his brother attacking from the front mostly having seriously wounded the one upfront his brother will fall back and attack the rear drawing attention there and his brother will finnish the lead drow off with a silent spell and wisk the body away.. some drow can be heard screaming "we attacked by ghosts" as his next words are being said the others hear a gurgling choking sound as an arrow pierces his throat.. who would have thoat that at th appropriate time and invisible arrow would help lend some truth to a drows story.. having finished of the last 3 of the 5 their bodies are searched completely gold taken artifacts if any taken they strip them completely of all gear and gold and investigate the armor and weapons then burning them along with the bodies bringing back any artifacts and gold to blue so he can investigate and study and add the gold to their pile replacing what was spent
for supplies and on previous raids for the city it self.. blue and his wife have finished their discussion and announce to the brothers they will not be pulling out of md completely but rather the opposite.. they seem to be intent on proving such idiotic slander from what they guess are morons wrong.. they all mumble "selfish indeed" and share a good laugh..

they do how ever ask blue why it would be thought he is selfish he shrugs and says " i have no idea honestly i rarely ever take any of the spoils i usualy give them all to them even the useless garbage i let them decide on and only take what is left if anything.. i rarely ask for donations for campaigns or the like but on one occasion i did have to ask.. i really should give that back as well if i could remember how much it was haa *he laughs* on the last attempt the city put up some as well so i should pay it back too.. they look at him and almost in unison say "what they hell you thinking the donation yes we can understand but you don't need pay the city back as well quit being so stupid blue.. he shrugs and mutters "i guess so.. you may be right" his brothers add "if anything they should pay you for what you spent and all you done honestly blue you should stand up and throw your status around more" he looks around at them with a slight glare shaking his finger at them as if saying no.. "you forget brothers i do what i can for the coronal and fflar as well as for the good of the city not for my own gain.. i seek not fame nor glory, gold nor credit, i seek only what i think is best for the city it self.. if no one else can understand this at least you all should.."

they think on this and decide it is his right to do so and say " well if thats what you believe then we will support you tho we still think you should get something" he just laughs and says "with our younger brother i would expect such and with you eldest brother i would not have expected it.. but oh well duely noted now lets eat and rest.." they share a meal together and discuss over some shared family wine the event of the day and plans for another day.. while his wife joins in with a glass of tea..

he can be seen in a section set for crafting making orbs for some odd use tho he doesn't alter his orb to communicate with the coronal and fflar.. he sets off staging them in trees high in the tops of them the use is still unknown..

he then sets off on a search for his families sword again visiting many small wooded villiages in disguise often asking about ancient places he could go study.. or for tomes he could read or scrolls he could copy and so on.. he often finds nothing more than a vague reference to people from the bight shiny light.. or the people who vanished into a bright light from the really old villiages or ancient stories he is told.. he simply laughs and thanks them for their time and carries on with his search else where.. after awhile he often finds himself wondering if they are back in their home plane after all just further into the future than they was or if time had passed more slowly in other planes than here..

he has heard of an island that is no longer there now and wonders what happened to it.. he is seen in md library when gathering supplies researching it and finds very vague mentions of a land mass that was swallowed by the sea in less than 2 days time from what he guesses that is 2 risings of the silver sky disk and yellow sky disk.. by the second rising of the silvery disk in the sky the island was completely submersed by the ocean as well as all buildings on it.. he also finds mention of a guardian that still swims around and thru it protecting it..

he decides that they will search this place out later once they have finished with what they are doing now.. so he goes back gathers more supplies from their stock pile and takes his brothers thru a portal a good distance away.. they hear movement in the forrest sounds close by..

he quickly snaps the portal shut they hide and slowly crawl their way thru the under brush and get to a safe distance and ward them selves in the usual manner and start maneuvering the group of drow and demons with them to where they want them carefully isolating the drow high mages with them in a group and the rest in another..

his brothers take the group with out magic leading them to the traps previously set herding them into them and slowly killing them off after dealing with the demons and blue take the drow high mages leading them to the orbs as they get into the middle of the orbs they activate inclosing them in a magical wall that they cant see thru nor spells penetrate while he goes to help is brothers the walls close in on the drow dealing all elemental damage each time they close in an stop.. he helps his brothers finish them off quick be fore they take to the trees and shoot in from the top down into the inclosed space killing the drow..

suck magic didn't go unnoticed tho completely as more soldiers an scouts came they quickly each took an orb blue having to grab a second orb ran and jumped into a portal he opened
and they reappeared good safe distance behind the new group they reset the orbs this time low in trees and in a straight line.. each taking a group of four or more doubles of the others an him self with him spacing out around the new group as they searched for the previous group.. they herded the new ones to the orbs attacking in force and almost simultaneously the drow fell back trying to retreat from the hail of arrows triggered the orbs this time blue arranged them so only a single wall appeared and immediately starting firing off energy balls wiping the rest of the previously wounded out and they finished of the remainder..

they sigh in relief as that was a close one and tended to their enjuries before collecting the orbs searching and burning the bodies and spreading out the dust from the doubles into the ground and covering the area with leaves redistributed from the forest floor.. they took a final tally of a grand total of 30 drow this time..

blue opens many portals this time each open an close as they pass thru leading all around the area as well as a few other places before heading back..

they show back up at the base arm in arm pretty much supporting each others as that battle took a lot out of them blue the most weaken seemingly collapses to the ground completely out cold now tho he still breathes his chest heaves back and forth words escape his mouth lightly must rest awhile now rest he passes out cold and stays so for 3 days before waking up to see all hovering over him his wife eyes red from crying so much..

he struggles to sit up his brothers bring him food and his favorite tea he weakly hold his wife comforting her eats an drinks.. they decide they will all take a few days more to rest and relax.. which his wife seems pleased with and sighs with relief..

after having rested for more than a week they decide to get back to work..

blue stop tinkering with minore work on the inside of house changing locks and bagging the dust to be dealt with next trip out and arranging his library..

he decides to be a little more less than noble in the next battle and devices a new plan he has his brothers gather much water in old wine barrels and set them up camoflauged at the next battle site.. while he studies and make plans in his head of how things should go and what they do..

he decides its time that he show the power he holds and increase his ability to use such more often.. his brothers an wife are against it but try to support him as much as they can relising this is how he is at times and better to support than go against him which would cause him to much distraction..

so they set off filling the barrels and placing them per orders so that when one is empty the next one is dump the water overlaps with the previous and so on..

blue makes ready himself stills and calms his mind focusing on the plan itself kisses his wife and her stomach (unborn child) walks off to open a portal making peace with what he is about to do and the actions that will be taken in the next battle..

this fight he says to them should be rather quick and hassle free relatively speaking..

they step thru and as per usual form the set off immediately from a distance working up to the barrels cautiously blue begins dumping the barrels in a way that forms a pattern in the ground almost in a design of a circle with a star in center but it has extra lines in the design.
only using half the barrels he helps reset the next set in another location behind them a good ways leaving enough room they can escape unseen still if needs be and repeats the pattern..

while the water is still flowing he goes back and kneels touching the ground with his hands
he mutters a incantation and chants as he does so the pattern seems to come to life after he finishes he tosses a rock in the center as it slowly sinks he mutters good now the next.

he moves over and does same to other and tosses a rock in they watch it sink and his brothers now understand what it is he planned and look on in awe..

they final speak up saying you are rather on verge of being more devious than we thought and lightly chuckle as they set off luring the drow into the trap.. as they do blue sets the obs up as extra precaution just incase covering their escape route out as well as protecting them from unknown drow lurking around..

they start luring the other patrols away and into the trap they get a good lead on them and set up seeing some drow already fell in trap they hit them on heads knocking them out an quickly push leaves round to hide them..

they cast their wards as well arranging the doubles all round the patterns to provide a good range of cross fire.. at this time the drow come charging in seeming to think they are catching them off guard unready as they charge in they start sinking un beknownst to them the rest of the drow charge from behind seeming to believe they finaly caught those hounding them and charge in..

knowing they are surrounded but not unknowingly they prepair and as they do the few reaming drow who manage to slip thru are quickle side stepped and tossed in with their buddies..

looking around the orbs glow bright blue and seen discharging stored energy into more drow coming from the side only a few had broken off to ambush them and in doing so are immediately disentagrated into nothing but ash.. they look at blue he just smiles and says "well i hoped those would last till the end" he shrugs "oh well quick lets finish this and be off"

they walk up to the edge and test the ground as blue just walks across rather fast paced they do the same.. the ground hardened enough to walk on now trapping the drow up to their necks.. they go thru swords in hand and cut their heads off keeping count as they do..

making a song out of it "1 little 2 little 3 little drow dead 4 little 5 little 6 little drow boys dead 7 little 8 little 9 little drow dead.." Blue chimes in "10 little drow fools all dead.."

they continue singing for what seems like a half hour give or take a few minutes seemingly lost in their work the orbs shoot off a few more times killing 3 more turning to ash..

well out total is 30 more the orbs now have killed 5 more so thats 35 now..

blue pours water from his water skin the ground loosens around each drow body and they pull them out.. "search them toss them on the pile of heads and burn them" as they pull the last out and search and start burning the piles of filth blue walks around letting the earth sink back in and fill itself again as it does he cancels the spell on each hole leaving it as it was when they found it then dispells the area of patterns leaving no trace they was there or how many.. he then gathers the orbs as he does his younger brother uses wind gust to disperse the ashes from the bodies..

they pack up remaining water and barrels and orbs slowly steering them to a new area for portal and walk in going directly to next portal appearing an disappearing in random places to them but known to blue..

they arrive back in base camp inform his wife of the goings on.. she listens half in awe half in shock.. looks at blue he shrugs saying "did what was needed nothing more nothing less"
she looks at him saying "and people willingly make you angry?" he shrugs again " yeah tho granted half the time i want to do same to them thoughts of you an my child keep me from doing such or opening a portal dropping them in a dangerous spot anyways.." "i do try not to not think so evil and treat them as i would like to be treated but most times it is extremely difficult especialy when they push so damned hard.. and show how ignorant they can truly be.." she half flinches and smiles trying to calm his mind "you do control yourself well my love.." he smiles to her and brings her some tea and a plate of food..

he sits and silent says a prayer to sehanine and to mystra.. asking they protect them and forgive him if they see him as wrong.. for he does not see himself as wrong in his doings..

the day begins as normal they head out scout prep the area and leave nothing dramatic or to over powering they revert back to simple dug traps with wooden spikes in bottom this time adding a spring top with spikes as well..

they come back with kits and raise scrolls in case they was needed as well as a full stock of spell scrolls and arrows and some wands..

they stalk the scout group out on patrols and lead them to the site for the ambush they carefully fire a volley of arrows this time they do not charge in retaliation but carefully stalk forward so his brothers send one double each into plan view to entice them to charge which does draw two into open and fall in the trap..

they call their doubles back to position and the two wounded drow cry for help the other 8 rush to help 3 standing guard on trying to help or kill the other two trigger the spring top and the spikes come crashing down on them impaleing all lend over and ones in trap thru the heads..

so it leaves 3 guards for them to kill they quickly open fire on the remaining few and take a few shots as well and a mage steps out an hits blue with a hell ball.. blue survives and limps off far enough to heal and his brothers take a couple arrows as well as magic missle attacks.. as blue comes back he sees them limp off and is immediately angry angrier than any has seen him he lets loose a flury of spells galcial wrath meteor swarm and rolls the orbs up to the drow while distracted and the spell end and last magic missle hits he activates the orbs..

the orbs once activated create a wall around the drow an mage hold them in the poses they was in doing other spells like a solid containment field.. blue asks them a series of questions
never getting an answer so he smiles rather evil saying "fine then have it your way slow it is" he walks off laughing muttering something and the walls close in slowly crushing them to death one drow screams out something blue looks back saying "to late you made your choice now die with it" he looks on watching them agonisingly tortured and wracked by severe pain as they are crushed to death..

his brothers come back having patched themselves up and look on clearly not pleased with what they see this time and speak to blue..

"blue why are you doing.." "this this isn't right.." blue looks over and says " was it right they envade our ancestor lands was it right they envade camp was it right the took children was it right they perverted our magic and used it against us" he shrugs saying " i think not and they deserve worse if i could think of worse" they look on and at blue as the blood starts pouring from the drow out of every opening and some new openings "brother this isnt the way sure torture them slightly for info or kill them out right but do not prolong the suffering let alone seek enjoyment from watching"

blue thinks on it for a few moments "perhaps you are right but what is done is done i can only hasten their demise" they say "good do so then please brother do not go down that path again" he nods and as he does so the walls are no longer visible or able to hear thru and snap shut completely as the life escapes the last drow the walls vanish and blue sets the aflame with fireball spells.. they kick the bodies of others into the pit and set it afire as well.. the brothers look at blue wondering if it was enough to keep him from that evil path he walked so long ago.. but only time will tell them for sure.. as the flames die down the fill the hole back in with the dirt pile blue had made invisible.. and walk off starting the journey back to base blue seeming lost in thought they reach base and blue walks off to a room and closes himself off from the others..

he reflects on what he did and searches with in himself for answers and come to terms and live with what he did after quite some time he emerges and asks them to forgive him for his momentarily loss of control.. they did and spoke to him about keeping that part in control or letting that side die completely.. he nods in agreement and they speak no more of it.. a single tear rolls down his cheek as he holds his wife in an embrace before letting her go he whispers something in her ear "im sorry love..." she smile up to him saying "its ok m'dear but do not let it happen again or you have to deal with me " he nods and lets it drop.. he goes and drinks his tea and studies for days it seems..

blue is often in thought now days.. he thinks and remembers lost friends and some who go by months on end with out him seeing.. i thinks of the few friends he has left or least ones that can consider at least partial friends.. he recall days long ago past of great friends and adventures.. he recalls the many great times he had by the fire.. he recalls many great conversations long past.. he often wonders whats happened to drive people openly against each other.. why some of his kin instantly antagonizes the other races and yet speak of peace.

he often sits back now watching as he does so he see his dream of a united myth drannor as it once was slowly slipping away tho he still tries hard to fight for it he slowly sees it becomming a verbal battle ground between them all.. his heart is often heavy these days as he recalls the past..

he slowly gets up and half heartedly goes and gathers his brothers for yet another battle in what he sees slowly becoming a lost cause his hope slowly fades and finds himself searching for renewed reasons to continue he often finds one that of his child an wife wanting a better life for them..

he takes his brothers out to battle this time no prep just basic tactics and same old worn out wards his heart just not in it this day they do however manage to take out 3 more bands of 5 adding to the talley of 15 for the day..

he simply walks off quietly with his brothers they too see him struggle and agree to call it a day now as well.. nothing fancy they do quick precise strikes and burn the bodies and call it a day and go home..

blue sits off alone thinking and adding up the kills.. he says allowed "120 total so far dead i think counting today's attack.." they all nod and say "plenty more to kill tomorrow then.."

he nods and goes to reading a book this time just one to relieve his mind of thoughts and not to study just for the pleasure of reading alone nothing more.. he brothers and wife nods she goes off adds a few touches to the place herself as does his brothes as she leaves she hands blue a wooden cup of his favorite tea and kisses his cheek and continues on her way to piddle in the base camp..

the brothers talk to blue about an idea they had and discuss it with him..

well we pretty much know their patrols why not set up some traps ahead of time and when we are there use those orbs and take them when we leave ..

blue thinks on it..

ok lets try it and see how it works out..

they set out as usual the brothers 3 and dig some traps lining them with spikes the set some spring traps of wood spikes as well as some blunt force traps knocking the drow into spikes else where..

they ward up and approach the main force on patrol which is not normal this time.. this time there is about 80 on patrol half the distance between the main drow camp and them all spread out.. blue sees this and motions for them to retreat briefly..

he then ward some of his doubles and brothers due theirs he animates the ground after using water and sets up 6 orbs this time through out the area and they set off again approaching the massive group.. the set up this time was tiring as well as the oncoming battle they set up the doubles for attacking and open fire on the drow shooting 2 and 3 arrows at a time.. they quickly take out 3 the doubles get 3 more they retreat some and open up again taking out 4 more they retreat again opening fire on the rest this time they all focus on one or two opening fire them and whats left of the doubles now quickly take 10 more out with only minor hits to them..

they retreat again last retreat before traps and open up letting loose a storm of arrows at selected targets taking out 20 more between them an doubles and fall back again to the beginning sets of traps and open fire again this time they take out 10 before falling back to end of trapped area drawing them in..

they all create more doubles to replace the ones killed off quickly bandage their wounds as they hear the drow running thru the forest getting closer placing the traps in key locations and a few not so key ones..

the first wave of drow miss the spike traps but after a few shots from the brothers 3 arrows guiding them to the traps.. they quickly get hit by to spring traps taking out 10 more the spike traps get 20 more and the earth and water traps get 10 more with just a few traps left they hear more coming..

the doubles open fire killing 10 more 2 spike traps get 10 more 3 spring traps kill 5 more
and the blunt force traps hit and send 15 more flying into set spikes where they are skewered the orbs start going of and they concentrate their fire on selected targets in conjunction with the orbs and manage to take out another 40.. they sigh in relief and tiredness..

wearily they set out stripping the drows of gear collecting magical artifacts books scrolls items hiding it in a distinguished piles and counting and burning bodies.. finishing off the ones still slightly alive in traps cutting heads of the ones in ground dragging their bodies up stripping an burning them all as they go..

in total this battle tho they received only a few flesh wounds they lost 20 doubles each and had a remaining number of 20 doubles left they search the gear looking thru packs pockets and so on burning it with the bodies and useless items as well.. they carry only their supplies brought the orbs some books and scrolls they gathered from dead mages and the odd non drow armor an weapons to sell.. they killed 180 drow warriors mages and scouts.. total so far 300 dead now..

all in all not a bad days work so having finished the burning and splitting the loot between them they dismiss their wards and step thru portal after portal till the get to base camp..

the smell of burning corpses reach the drow camp and they send out scouts to assess the situation they report back "no drow bodies or equipment left unburned and no traps seen nothing to go by" but they suspect it was a small army and take count of the missing numbers "they got 180 this time damned shadows blasted shades it had to be.. the elves are to weak and lack the numbers so who else could it be.. unless it those other freaking drow ambushing us mixing in with our numbers pretending to be one of us.."

after a week of rest and refilling supplies blue looks thru some books researching further into the area he suspects as holding what he seeks.. it seems the island was sunk long ago by some form of magic but nothing more is written.. so he goes out with his brothers..

they skip the time consuming trap digging but use 6 orbs set up again in case..

they ward up heavily this time and have many many doubles in place waiting an ready.. they set off luring a huge group to the ambush where they do have 3 doubles in open as they fall back they take up a place hidden and the doubles act as they was..

the drow see them but do not charge forth they simply open fire on them and they scatter picking up a place to provide cover and return fire as the other doubles surround the drow..

the drow get excited and leap forward as they have wounded the doubles they go to deliver they killing blows only to find the doubles laughing madly at them and they disintegrate into dust and the wind blows them away the drow taken back by utter confusion and shock mistakenly turn to look at each..

as they do blue his brothers and all doubles let loose and arrow storm a few manage to raise shields in time to not get more than a few scratches the rest are wounded and they open up another volley from the other side as they get close to hitting the other two groups open up a follow up volley.. the first volley hits taken out round 10 the second volley still at half way mark in mid air drop just as they lower shield to look around and take out 20 more..

the drow now duck under shields trying to squat and walk but as they do blues eldest brother squats as well nearly bent over to ground looking he signals for them all to spread out and do as he is an to open fire first shot they see open..

they all bend done looking and instantly see openings under the shields and in cracks of combined shields and open fire after the first volley half raise up and fire a second volley as some drow are hit in the arses and jump up others hit in the feet or legs or arms.. those are hit with the second volley and they drop down reload and fire again the second group raise up and fire as well and they keep alternating like this until 40 drow are dead..

the last 10 drow charge off in different directions manage to get a few doubles they get ruffly 1 double each so they killed 13 doubles and are instantly cut down for their efforts..

they follow their routine search and burn they burn 50 this day and pack up and leave almost forgetting the orbs but blue remembers and grabs them they walk off followed at a distance by the doubles they clear an area and they are dismissed as he opens a portal and they travel around town to town for a bit then head to base.. they take count and total the tally at 350 now..

During blue's break from cleansing the forest of filth. he and his brothers now build a small boat and push it thru a portal tho it is half completed and finish it on the northeastern side of the shore and let the tide float it deep enough and anchor it to the shore..

it is big enough for 10 people or more now and they load it with days of supplies he has but a few days to find what he seeks so they set sail..

the arrive two days later at the spot he thinks is the place they see a really dark shadow circling the area and the boat the waters churn faster tossing them about blue falls and cuts his arm and blood flows into the sea..

as the blood flows in the ocean the water calms tho the blood dissolves only a few feet in the creature recognizes it and calms down.. pleased to not be flung about anymore blue sets forth with a container of his blood corked and sealed after he puts on clothes and a hood with mask that he has added water breathing enchant to over the gem he wears..

blue sets forth and dives in follows the anchor down at the end off the anchor round 50 feet down he attaches a rope and ties it to the anchor and swims down approaching the end of that rope at round 100 feet now the pressure builds and it is bone freezing cold and grows darker..

Blue cast a spell to shield him from elements and grant immunity to cold he as well casts a force field around him.. and ties another rope to the end and swims further still.. the creature stirs and watches him circling him uncertain of what to do..

Blue sense it and cracks the top ever so slightly allowing his blood to flow out a little and the creature swims over tasting the blood it swims away just off to distance..

and quickly as fast as it can move it hurries back above him swimming fast blue tries to move out of the way but it opens its mouth with a vaccum swallowing water so fast blue is trapped in its path..

as it approaches he does a sending to his wife and child to calm them and excepts his fate whatever it might be.. the humungous wyrm type creature hits him dead center of its path the force nearly knocks blue out as he slowly becomes undazed he realizes the rope is gone and he is inside the creatures mouth he grabs on to something inside its mouth to keep from going further down..

he recalls the rope being another 50 feet putting him at 150 feet when he lost it and the speed and force of the creature i would have to guess maybe 500 feet down now he feels it slowing down and it opens its mouth sucking in more water it clears a small room of all water and lets blue out absently as blue exits he reaches up to stroke the creature like a pet and walks to a door..

the creature stays there keeping the room sealed from water rushing in he searches the creatures mind thru magical temporary link and discovers the creature was placed there as a guardian to protect the sunken island by his ancestors and that he is well over 1000 feet deep the creatures mouth acted like some sort of pressure regulator and he is safe as long as the creature maintains the seal.. blue thanks the creature and walks to the door..

he reaches the door he senses strong magical wards in place he senses his fathers magic as well there as well as many ancestors magic which is slightly unfamilar to him.. so he opens his vial of blood again pouring it on his hand and placing it against the door..

as he does this clicks and light bangs and twisting sounds can be heard as they quiet down the door opens it self allowing him to walk thru..

he walks thru the door looking around he sees his families crypts stashes of gold gems armor weapons artifacts galore.. he walks thru not taking any of it leaving it all there he does touch a few things to study as quick as he can.. with out dilly dallying around to much..

he notices a center sarcaphagus surrounded by 3 others and an empty on next to the center one.. he walks up to a alter with a small pillar type item on it with a sharp point on top..

the vial of blood is almost empty and is freezing cold now he tries to pour it on the pillar and alter but nothing happens it just vanishes leaving the surfice clean.. he then smirks they know me so well i guess.. he takes a deep breath and clears his mind and impales his hand on the pillar..

his blood gushes forth and the pillar vibrates and images fill his mind tho they are in his mind he literaly sees them in front of him.. His fallen brother and sisters his mother his long dead wife they are all buried here by his father.. they speak to him telling him all will turn out fine to not loose his self in the emotions he holds in.. and that what he seeks is laying on top of what will be his sarcaphagus and he looks to see 3 more empty ones around..

one for each brother left he speaks to them as he looks around he tells them he is married again and has a child on its way.. they look at him with a smile his dead wife shedding a tear of happiness at the news.. his sarcaphagus moves and his dead wifes moves to its left side of his and a new one takes its place to his right side and a new one is created below his.. it almost as if they was set as a reference to his family tree..

blue's mother speaks after the rest had their turn.. Ryn'ja Cathlemet my son it is time you took the family sword and claimed your birth right or use it to serve those you deem most worthy.. and serve the people well.. should you not be worthy of this blade she walks over and embraces him as do the others his dead wife kisses his forehead.. your wife and child and two brothers will know and will be at peace with whats happened.. should you pass its test and are worthy you will be able to take anything you see here as well as come back and forth thru a portal to study and research things here should you leave them..

he looks around at them all smiles with a nod saying "i came for one thing and one thing only that is our family sword the rest will stay here tho i will come back to study and speak with you all eventualy.. now i know i can contact you here.." he looks at his left hand then to them.. his wife speaks up "it will heal in time m'love tho a tiny scar will remain as a reminder you will not have to do so again to speak with us now" she points to the alter he looks it is clean again.. "now go claim the sword and hurry back to your wife she will need you soon.." he rushes to the sword with out thought he grabs it pulls it from its sheath after moments pass he fills a connection to the sword as it puts him thru its test each part he passes it connects more to him drawing power from him forming a bond to him..

he passes the last test and it is fully bonded with him they all smile on him and rush him off.. with the last words "find your home now and then you may visit freely with the portal this chamber will stay sealed after you leave" he rushes back off to the creature gets back in its mouth and links to it again asking it to please hurry.. the door pounds shut the mechanics behind it and magic reseals itself shut to all but his blood family..

the great protector of his family takes off at a mind boggling speed he reaches 25 feet easily with in minutes and is released from the creature mouth that propels him to 5 feet quickly.. he swims as fast as he can to the boat and climbs up looking over at the water he releases his link to the creature and it goes back to guarding..

he speaks quickly to his brothers giving them a brief account and tugs the ancho enchanting it mechanical parts that wind it up almost in blink of an eye he pulls the ropes up with his brother as the other one turn and set sail back to land..

they get last ropes up he looks at the sails and calls forth the wind to move them quicker saying "this should make it quick" sailing a direct course for where they set off from they reach it with in a day.. they rush to unpack and blue destroys the boat with fire balls.. leaving nothing but ash behind the water slowly consumes the ash leaving no trace..

blue opens a portal and quickly starts throwing stuff thru as does his brothers and they follow no fancy distractions or spaced out multiple portals he goes directly to base camp..

as they arrive they he rushes to his wifes side she is in bed ready to give birth now he steps over having his brothers to each side of her she squeezes their hands as she pushes..

ryn is their coaching her thru and helps by slowly pulling gently as she pushes the baby head and shoulders out he then pulls gently as she pushes the baby is born he cuts the cord and ties it.. hold the baby upside down and smack its bottom he hears the cry and slowly gently washes the after birth off and wraps him up and carries him to his wife..

"love its a boy what you want to name him?" his wife speaks up softly with a smile saying "Rhyssen , now give him here" she reaches up and blue smiles handing him to her.. Blue kisses her forehead then his sons head saying "Rhyssen it is love, i like it.."

his younger brother speaks up "can i add him to my hoard?" eldest brother snatches him back "no but i can add you to a hoard now get back here." they look up and laugh even rhyssen smiles alittle.. Blue looks over to his brothers "its going to be atleast a few days before we get out again so i will send you to get supplies.." they smile and nod and leave the room allowing for some privacy... blue looks at her "you did great love" he smiles kisses her head.. she looks up eyeing the sword she says "i see you did as well love.."
he smiles "aye it is ours again.. maybe one day he will be able to wield it.. tho i hope he never has too.." Blue lays next to her holding her as she hold their son..

having spent a couple weeks with his son an wife, blue decides its time to go back to work..

he gathers his brothers and a large arsenal of magic weapons and rods with his orbs and all have heal kits and scrolls to raise dead..

they set off to prep the area next to have battle they don't use dug traps this time but simply use traps they have gathered..

blue sets 12 orbs up in trees this time and they ward up and cast duplicates again as blue does often they prepare stronger and magical arrows as well as sheath their swords to their sides and a few other weapons such as kukris and daggers and set off.

they find a group this time larger than than normal they engage anyways luring them to the orbs tho they take out a few each time they stop 5 or 10 each stop they slip behind the orbs and continue to fire on the drow..

each time the fire the drow charge forward cautiously tho they and the doubles take out 10 or 15 each time the drow stop..

the drow take final steps close enough and are hit with wave after wave of arrows 2 or 3 from each one and the orbs send massive bolts of energy coursing throw them weakest ones are disintegrated stronger ones are killed by hails of arrows or a second bolt from orbs..

the drow manage to kill off 20 or so doubles as they are killed off as well..

as the wind up the battle the last few drow are killed by orbs and arrows they walk thru searching bodies stripping them of anything to be taken artifacts scrolls books gold and burn the rest of equipment armor and weapons with the bodies..

they have so many to burn they drag bodies far apart to burn in small groups so the fires are lessened in size by a great deal and often appear no more than groups at camp..

they burn the last and tend to each others wounds blue hands his youngest brother a poison antidote and his older brother a restoration potion and cast remove curse on him and they patch each other up and head out..

they reach a clearing for a portal and they add their count up together and dismiss the doubles blue sends a massive gust of wind thru the area blowing the ashes away and gathers the last of the orbs.. he opens the portal and they walk thru..

total drow killed this day 150 making a grand total of 500 dead drow ruffly lost 200 doubles now.. so not a bad deal all in all..

blue sets out with his brothers a few days later.. he sets up 12 orbs thru out the trees his brothers set traps... he wards them and cast many doubles one them this time they have an army of 200 now..

so they set off they draw in 200 drow to the ambush site orbs are going off left and right at times almost sounding like music in their firing.. traps are going off as well followed by screams.. they open fire will clouds of arrows quickly dispatch 100 drow and loosing 25 doubles..

blue lets loose a few extra spells and arrows as his brother does as well and his other brother continues to fire arrow after arrow sometimes 2 an 3 at a time... the doubles as well send out storms of arrows.. it now looks like the sky opened up on them and is raining arrows as water falls from the sky they loose 50 more doubles and take out the last 100 drow...

they search an burn after all are ash they send wind gust thru the area blowing doubles and drow ash away..

and make for the portals dismissing the other doubles and stepping in following the long portal jumps before jumping back to base..

total drow dead now 700 and they seem ok with it and rest up spending time with blues son..

blue leaves his eldest brother with his baby and takes his wife out and his youngest brother..

the go thru setting spring traps as blue sets orbs all around...

they ward up same as before tho with his wife this is new to her so they take extra caution and give her more doubles and extra wards..

they leave her behind set and ready to ambush as they draw them out..

they come running quickly back all doubles in place an set they jump up close to her and spread out some.. as soon as they reset the drow come sneaking in they get a few of the doubles as the orbs start in and arrows start flying she is almost distracted tho only briefly and snaps out and back to attacking..

a few more doubles go down as they take out 50 drow now.. they continue each shooting 2 or 3 arrows back to back almost at same time they nick a couple and instantly kill a few and wound a few others and the orbs finish them off.. they continue for another 2 hours taking out another 50..

they stop search and burn all drow gather orbs and blast ashes with wind and portal jump back an forth on occasions stopping in towns disguised fully looking round gather supplies minor shopping since she hasn't been out for awhile before they head back to base..

they eat drink and discuss tactics blue hands her things he bought her when she wasn't looking her face lights up she says "you always look after me and see i get things i need or want" blue nods with a smile and kisses her cheek..

they inform his eldest brother of the encounter as he hands the baby to his brothers wife with a smile.. they killed 100 more drow.. its been a long time coming but blue was proud of his wife and said as much to her that he was.. he was glad to see she could still handle herself quite well.. he tells her "no more getting distracted tho love"..

total now is 800

blue packs up and heads out with his wife and eldest brother leaving his youngest brother to tend to the baby..

the set the ambush site and prep the area warding them selves with a few extra doubles usual round 30 for them and 50 on his wife.. they set the doubles up and ready for action spring traps loaded.. adding to the arsenal this time they have a few doubles operating balistas..

they set off and scout the area locating the drow and take a deep breath and start hollering and hooting firing arrows and a few spells drawing attention and running back stopping to fire more arrows drawing them in they get a good distance and hide allowing doubles to draw them in..

as the doubles draw them in and the drow pass by blue set some orbs up behind them and doubles back around them setting orbs up and his wife and brother sneak around to join the main attacks... blue sets up more doubles at the rear behind the orbs and orders them to attack any that flee..

he looks around and sees an entire army of drow unsure of the number he knows its more than 200 this time.. so he adds more doubles to sides and front of attacks as well increasing the double total to 600..

exausted now casting so many spells he weakly joins his wife and brother to back of doubles leading the attacks...

drow charge in mob force taking out 20 doubles as they do the rest take out 50 total from all sides.. the spring traps take out another 20 ending the traps now... the orbs claim another 60 right of the bat.. the ones covering the rear form up closing the circle and move the orbs as needed to in front of them..

hours pass bad 100 doubles now dead and 200 drow dead... a drow high mage sits in back watching.. it seems he is last high mage left in the group along with a few normal mages..

they start firing hell balls taken out another 150 doubles.. total doubles killed now is at 250 as they kill a few more rounding it out at 300 doubles dead still 200 drow dead..

blue shout orders to concentrate all fire on the mages and kill them... so they do and another double of blue shout the same orders around to rest of groups.. so now the 300 doubles focus all fire on mages shooting 2 arrows at a time.. they quickly take out the one high mage and 29 other mages bringing the tally to 330 drow dead and split their fire back on main groups...

the drow push forward again and as they do blue orders the balistas to fire at will... they open fire impaling two to 5 drow at time pushing them back to center...

blue still weak and slightly injured now patches him self up casting bull strength on him self and bear endurance pulls out an orb and throws it in the center of the drow as it hits it explodes releasing magical damage all around hitting and injuring many drow and killing a few.. he then pulls out his last orb which is the main for the trap orbs..

he focuses the power he has left the other 16 orbs glow extremely bright and explode with magic glass and magic fly all around with such force that it literaly rips thru the drow blowing many into pieces closest to explosion and killing 170 drow dead.. he passes out near death his wife and brother quickly patch him up and haul him to safety and jump back in the fight.. if this was to be his last battle they was going to make it one hell of a fight..

his wife tho tear filled eyes would glance back at blue still kept fighting together her and his brother was infuriated past the point of control trying to remain in position with only 250 doubles left draw blades and sneak to the middle of the drow standing back to back dual wielding swords daggers and kukris openly start a anger filled fight from the center..

highly emotional and out of control they fight by pure instincts.. almost animalistic.. blue being to weak to stop them his hand barely moves and falls to ground is helpless only being able to watch in glimpses as his eyes shut and are hard to open..

the doubles left now 250 concentrate fire on the out side of circle while his wife and brother fight inside.. they kill another 50 drow inside an out of circle.. the doubles now draw blades and rush the group fearing if they fire more it would hit the 2 in center...

blues doubles quick fall in combat as he is to weak to maintain them.. leaving 225 the others fought furiously to get to two in center and take out another 50 drow before getting their they loose another 125 doubles taking out the the last drow they see his wife and brother on their knees slowly patching each other up...

the last 100 doubles escort them to blue and do the work of searching and burning the bodies blowing ash away with scrolls of wind..

blues main double still survives tho to their amazement he opens a portal straight to base camp and leaves a note with total count as they escort the 3 back carrying blue on a home made stretcher and his wife in his doubles arm and brother on back of his double.. blues double lays her down easily same for the brother..

as they are laid down and watch blue come thru on a stretcher they all have eyes filled with tears even most doubles.. he never realized his first doubles had feelings of their own.. his two brothers eyes filled with tears tend to his wounds his wife laying next to him crying holding his hand his son in her other arm leaning over looking at his father not moving his breath so slow it barely moves his chest.. he sheds a tear and cries over him lightly as a baby would hits his face with his hands as if trying to wake him.. his sons tears and wifes tears land on his face...

as they land on him blues eyes flutter open very lightly and still half closed he squeezes their hands lightly.. and with a smile on his face he passes out again..

they let him rest she lays next to him with their son and cuddles next to him.. the brothers go rest as well and speak on what had happened.. they add the total count now at 1600 dead drow... a fitting total for the end of the journey so far... the doubles all fade away as the magic is fades.. and all is quiet in the camp now.. they all grieve as they know not for sure if blue will make it thru this time or not but they all share the hope that he will..

his double being the strongest he ever made walks over to him looks at her places a hand on blues chest smiles warmly saying "he will pull thru never underestimate his will to live tho it will take time much more than before" he fades as well slowly his last words to her was "he will live and thanks him for us as well he was able to grant us something we never knew before" he smiles and fades...

tho blue is still out cold and has been for days now they keep him warm and tend to his wounds. changing bandages adding herbs to aide in healing.. they can not since any magic coming from him almost as if he has non left or cant channel it..

on the upside of things his breathing has increased and tho not purposely doing so he on occasions squeezes his wife's hand or his sons hand more reflexive than anything.. but they take it as a good sign coupled with his breathing increased..

his eyes are twitching rapidly and they wonder what he is seeing or dreaming.. no one really knows with blue his mind often so chaotic that even he doesn't know..

his wife often tends to him rarely ever leaving his side unless its to tend to their son.. his brothers are often ones who go to town for supplies and to check on myth drannor for him..

trying to keep up to date on happenings there and logging it for him to read later..

during their time there they try stocking up on materials for him and talk to others on occasions every thing seems to be new to them there many changes have happened since they last was there before all this happened..

sometimes they can be seen smiling at what they see other times they tend to scowl and walk away.. they tend to stick to themselves often as they do not like towns much anymore.. they feel there is to much crap that goes on where as out in the forest you only have nature and nothing more to deal with the lines are clear there and not blurred with mundane day to day city life stuff..

they still don't understand what blue see or likes about cities but he can survive just as well in the forest as he does in cities.. they shrug and support him tho any way they can.. as they think and talk they carry on with the day to day tasks restocking finding blue's stash of tea and ale and wines.. they drink the wines an ales leaving the tea for blue since he prefers that over anything else..

his wife brews some tea tho he doesn't eat or drink right now just the smell of it seems to comfort him some what or seems too.. so she keeps a pot brewed and setting next to the bed for him...

after resting for what seemed like weeks blue wakes up and looks around seeing food on the table he quickly makes his way over and stuffs his face almost eating the table too it seemed like..

he sets by a fire reading a book and talking to his family about what all happened while he was out.. he gets up and makes a meeting but doesn't go with them choosing to heal properly instead..

he makes it back and rests more still recovering seems he will make a trip back soon..

and walk about looking and talking to old friends seeing how things are in camp and what not..

maybe stocking his materials up an start enchanting again soon..

checking on old tasks see if they are done yet.. maybe arrange a meeting with sir fflar and all that good stuff..

he has heard some tells of a voluntary drow slave and wonders if she has gone mad... one would have to be daft to volunteer to be a slave...

if he finds this story true he will have to make the hard choice to treat her like a drow or not.. and this makes him sad very much so..

he has much to do much to think on much to study as usual... he close his book and walk on down his path wondering what else is in store for him now...

blue takes a look around camp and city even the farms.. he speaks to a few people.. he heads back home he has much to think on now and much to decide..

it seems his actions are mistaken and his words are always taken the wrong way so he feels there is no place for him now in the city he once called home...

in his mind he knows there is but his heart hurts and the two seem to be at odds with each other.. he would normal seek council from the coronal on such.. but he hasn't seen nor heard from her in such a long time now nor from fflar..

so he begins to think he did something wrong or said something to offend them..

he picks up an ancient scroll he found and wonder about it as he holds it never reading it as he did when he first found it he just holds it and stares lost in thoughts...

he seems conflicted and worry shows on his brow from time to time.. he thinks of his ancestral home he thinks about his family he thinks about the city.. he seems to feel useless now..

he thinks on much as his shoulders sag from the weight that he feels on them... he knows its not his problem to shoulder the burden of the world but he cant help himself and feels he has to .. for if not he then who .. he thinks to him self..

his wife comes over and massages his shoulders and asks him whats wrong.. he places a hand on hers lightly and says its nothing love to her and that he is just tired... she asks again knowing he was holding back the reason.. so he answers her telling her the truth..

that if he didn't try to shoulder the burden of all and try to fix things himself that he would be pretty much useless and that if that was the case he may as well go do what old humans do and tend a garden outside somewhere and ramble on about the olden days or mumble to himself like having a conversation with his self.. or go out and yell at the younglings to keep off the grass.. he says it with a slight chuckle almost half serious and half joking..

she looks at him kissing top of his head saying with a laugh you can no more sit idle and watch the world go by than i can sit and watch it pass by with out aiding in some way either.

if you feel you need something to do then start enchanting again or get another hobby.. wonder about studying nature and the way life should be.. go tinker with his ideas and build some gnomish looking beast of a machine.. at which he laughs heartily..

he kisses her hand and thanks her for the laugh and seems lighter than he was.. he still clutches that scroll in his hand she asks what it was he simply states and idea and its a surprise and grins wide at her as if saying so don't ask to see it... she smiles saying ok fine keep it a surprise then.. she goes off to tend to their son while he goes to make dinner..

she chuckles i lets out a sarcastic joke ohh so you cook now huh with a grin.. he says yep its called blue's surprise with a mischief smirk on his face.. he laughs evil at her and asks if she likes bone in her drow meat surprise... she huffs teasingly at him and says i dont know do you like spikes in your bed.. he laughs and says ok ok scorpion stew it is.. she stamps her foot at him giving him a mocking glare while she holds their son and feeds him.. he grins and says ok ok ill fix something good..
