A half elf is born.

Auryne was seen making her way from the Traveling Star inn to the Temple of Seldarine supported by Morna´nique, her face a mixture of pain and worry, one hand holding her belly the other holding the arm of the priestess. News quickly spread through the guards that her labor pains had began. Guards were sent to summon Torhm to hurry to the Temple of the Seldarine where a priestess of Angarradh took care of her.

The childbirth took almost a whole day and often screams of pain could be heard as well as some not very pleasant curses in sylvan, cursing a particular human male for bringing her into this situation.

Later people present at the birthing would attest that they could almost swear that they had smelled the fragrance of wet grass and leaves and heard faint laughter in the distance every so often and when Auryne heard that laughter despite her own screams, she started to curse at the thin air in sylvan. Those that understood sylvan would say she screamed somethig like "you will not get my child" or "she will chose for herself" although it was difficult to understand her in her pain, so no one could be sure.

she gave birth to a healthy half elven girl, and as the priestess gave the child into her arms, her eyes were aglow with motherly love and joy, her pains and worries for now forgotten.

Morna'nique helped Auryne to the temple, making sure she was well cared for and waited beside Auryne untill Tohrm arrived. While waiting she tried to assure Auryne that Tohrm would be there soon and help in any way she could.

Tohrm, when he next entered Myth Drannor, having received a few telling, if sarcastic comments from Tahandor, rushed to the temple. He stayed there, or pacing around outside, often nursing his hand which looked like it had been squeezed until the bones had almost broken, for the entire time. He occasionally wandered around muttering worriedly because of Aurynes apparent Sylvan outbursts. Tohrm was the one to take people aside first and talk to them if they'd come to see Auryne, keeping it as... quiet, as possible when he could.

After having recieved his day long curses from Auryne, and other members of the Elven community, him looking rather a state but never the less, went by Auryne's side and stood, for once just looking completely blank for a moment, needing a little encouragement to get him back to reality. After which he mumbled to her quietly, his smile having never been broader...

"Lyrisia Linthariel Elrath.... Oh Gods I need a drink..."

Kayna comes to watch the scene, among the crowd, with a straight face.

*After Karovir heard of the news he seemed to make a worried face and let out a long sigh. He then left Myth Drannor and it's surroundings mumbling* I will go and pray for the poor child...

Sayiel come in silence and watch Tohrm from affard, not in the shadows, but not in the open either, her face is a close mask.

Hearing the news of the child's birth, Tracker sends a messenger with a letter to Torhm and Auryne.

Congratulations on the birth of your child. While I regret not being able to tell you in person my thoughts and prayers go to you and your growing family. Meleikki bless this child and keep her safe from harm. I hope you raise her as a fine young woman and know that my blades will keep her safe from harm and I'll watch over her with my last breath just as I would do the same for any other that seeks refuge and defense from the evils around us.

*In Shadowdale a loan scarred elf looks up, swearing he heard the sound of baby crying and something in Sylvan. The corner of his mouth twitches ever so slightly in the darkness. He looks to the loan rat he keeps as a pet, feeds him. He thinks of the passage of time, looking at the marks on the wall and wonders. He goes back to his journal with little other words and begins scrawling. *

*blue hears of this and speaks fluent sylvan but alas he wasn't around during the screams*

he gives them both time with their new born before congratulating them both he moves his hands to the baby placing one on her chest and one on her forehead lightly his lips move tho no sound comes from them almost as if he is giving her a blessing or granting her protection..

as he recalls auryne some time ago talking to something not there and he remembers watching her on occasions with a sword talking to it as well... no one but he knows what he did but he smiles to them both and nods saying she should be fine for a while not knowing for sure what it is he just acted from instinct..

he also leaves them a gift and a note before becoming distracted again..

As Koeh hears of the wonderful news, she can be seen trying to poke her head around once the crowd begins to gather. Once she is able, she would congratulate Auryne and Tohrm on their beautiful daughter, wishing her a wonderful, happy life.


(Sadly Firl has heard nothing of the actual birth.)

Tahl'ihal, the Black Archer hears of this and frowns in disgust. He thinks to himself.

"I hope those half-elf blasphemies are dashed upon the rocks."

He shakes his head and continues his shopping, then makes a brisk exodus from the Camp.

As Tohrm steps out of the Temple he hears a noise...It seems the dwarves have been waiting to congratulate the new father. After many slaps on the back and ale passed around to all, the dwarves tell Tohrm to join them at the inn when he's ready for a real party. And if he and his family ever need a place to stay their Hall will always be open to them.

Sherne comes from his room in the temple to congratulate Auryne when it gets quieter. He then goes into town and returns with a newly enchanted nappy.

Taeron notices the large crowd forming. It takes him only a moment to ralize what's going on.

He watches from a distance and smiles.

"Vitaj," he says, adding a few more words in Illuskan.

After a few days, Piak pays the new Dalelander a visit.
With a bow, he offers Auryne a big, carefully crafted and polished wooden lockpick.

"Talents should be fostered early... and lets be frank, she looks like a little scoundrel."

The Coronal would send the couple congratulations on the arrival of the healthy baby.

The Coronal requests the chance to visit the new mother. The arrival of any new life is a small but sharp joy.

If allowed in, she greets Auryne and her tiny newborn daughter warmly bringing blankets and clothes and a beautifully wrought silver and mithril necklace and bracelet with diamonds and moonstones in, the bracelet tiny, for now, and the necklace long, for when she is grown.

A basket filled with fresh forrest fruit is found a few days later at the door.
A small note attached to it in clean handwriting.
