I do love the new update.

It is amazing, nicely done.

But there is a few problem with it. Mostly RP wise. And it is the fact that Sschindylryn is even more isolated and trapped as one should cross by the areas controlled by the camp to reach anything outside of Sschindylryn. Shame.

Sschindylryn is a trade city and more in population than the camp. Would be nice to have a portal to avoid the camp or to somewhere else, like to free haven. It could be even a mage offering portal services in Sschindylryn into free haven (a possible trade partner?).

Until that is it acceptable to cross that area by AFK?

Thoughts on this?

I would agree.

The city has massive potential compared to the camp, yet is often overlooked.

What in the update makes it more isolated than before? Are you talking about this in general, or are you saying there's something different with the latest update?

I'm just talking about in general.

Given the mention of updates though it could be an idea for a future one, to have something to bypass lolthite controlled areas.

I'm just trying to determine if this is a general suggestion or not. What's in the new update that makes this different than before? The OP mentioned the "new update", but as far as I know, the newest update is more details and such, not a change to the actual layout of areas.

The update is awesome Mustang, don't get me wrong. But the guards are alerted by every crossing person, right? They are working for the camp, right? Those who are claimed heretics by the camp will have hard time to cross, and teher might be a lot of argument arise from this between the camp and those opposes by them.

Perhaps a portal leading to the caves somewhere in the upper dark?

Until that would it be acceptable to cross these areas AFK-ish? I mean would be an alternate route ICly (but not in game) from Sschindylryn to other areas to use the AFK-hide to cross?

The guards thing/heretics isn't something we actively enforce, so if you're a heretic and wish to pass by there to get somewhere, just try to avoid getting the guards attention. That being said, you still haven't answered my question. What's different about the latest update? Those NPC guards have always been there, haven't they?

The web. More guards. There is no way to avoid their attention in fact as the web will alarm them.

More details: there is an actual text appearing about alarming the web. I see this as a conflict. I like the idea of the web, very clever (like a door you have to open and thus the guards are alarmed no matter what is your level of hiding, what spell you use.

But this is a potential problem between the opposing faction as far as I see. So a DM take on the matter could resolve the issue as I see.

Evil, basically there is a few webs placed on the corridors scripted to alert the guards. From Sschindylryn to reach any point except the Mushroom Forest one have to cross such a check points.

It is already a bit hard to play a heretic and I see this could just create more flame.

It is like... to place MD surrounded by Shadowdale and unable to reach any map. At least that is how I feel it Smile.

Ok, thanks for the information Karasu. I'll see what we can do to remedy the situation. For the time being, just use the AFK status to go past it. It seems I overlooked this part of the update which our builder did inform me about.

trash can scripts aren't working in the drow camp.

script to autoclose door to temple doesn't seem to be working either in drow camp.
