| UD Patch 001 New Areas:(Starting Areas) Deep Gnome Hidden Village - Spoiler:
Durger Outpost/Keep (No map yet) (Exploration Areas) The Way to Szith-Morcane, Szith Morcane its self and Maerimydra (Including a ton of advending maps with chain and weekly questions, also introduction of area thasing, so when plays reach a mile stone the area will be changed and update according to their rp and actions) Mushroom Forest Revamp (Total revamp of the Forest, more critters to hunt, a possible secret place only a certain class might find and a new subterrianen level with lots of beastys!) Area Updates:Camp (Revamp/RP Fixes, Introduction of Chain Quest (Not repeatable), Introduction of UD Notice Board, other shiney things.) Beetle Cave (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Slimes (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Bugbears (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Undead (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Aazer (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Mindflayers (Weekly Quest introduced, spawn rate tweeked) Broken Staff Inn (Revamp plus introduction of rooms and basment and something else which will remain a secret) Trade City Revamp introduction of a few things, slave markey which will offer a new starting location for surfacers if they wish to jump into ud rp as fresh meat, an arena, a number of quests, some chain one or two repeatable, some new merchents, a inn.) New Policys:In the works, will post when Staff are at an agreement Plot and Adventures!:My goal is to have a DM for each faction in the UD and those dms will cater to that groups random mini rp plots, events and stuff, but as a whole UD DMing team we will be working togeather on the main plot, this means more cinimatic battles, more NPC interaction and so mkuch DM attention your be over dosing on us. (There will be four types of plot) UD Plot: (Campain chaning plot where your actions will litually shape the world you play in) Racial Plot: (Each of the Races will also have a main plot too for da Drow is currently retaking the city i.e) Faction Plot: (Plot centered around factions and groups) Personal Plot: (I hope to also introduce a almost table top feel to this Sever, where each character will have their own cool mini plot line, this means your character can have no secrets from the DMs like some have done in the past, as DM's we need to know what your character is doing.) | |

| These new changes sound really nice. I think many players are looking forward to Deep Svirf starting areas. A good opportunity for players to have an UD character but not be forced into the Lolthite setting.

| I have lots of questions but I will limit to the Svirfs for now.
When the new Svirf starting area enters the server what is the vision of the UD staff for relations between Drow and Svirf? Will Drow characters be forbidden to enter Svirf city and surrounding areas?
Once these new UD races are introduced this will require a rewrite of UD server Lore and rules correct? The addition of new races should shift the UD from a 100% Lothite dominated setting? | |

| Drow will not be able to find the swiv starting area. Probably still an idea of swiv to be very careful of drow once they leave the safety of their village as drow arent known for their racial acceptance | |

A1: the UD will be unchanged, it will continue as it always have with drow domination and all elves trying to survive, although the Illithids are going to be playing a bigger part in the furture ~evil grin~ A2: Yes, Drow will not be able to find or know about where the secret village entrace is let alone how to open the bloody thing, svilf are very very very very very very very slow to trust, and will not willing bring a outside into their home, and if they tryed the thing that looks after the door simply will not be letting the other race in. A3: not at all, there is plenty of lore already surounding them, svil like to hide from drow oddly. A4: the setting is the Underdark, depending on what you play and where you play determains the plots youll have accsess with, the Drow is Lolthitie, players are welcome to play here tics but on discovery serious risk of character death are to be expected. | |

| Just do folks are clear regarding the svirfneblin village - only svirfneblin will be able to zone into their area, only svirfneblin will be able to see their village's area connection(s). The svirneblin village will only be for svirneblin, it will not be a haven for non-Lolthites.
It is the home and haven for the deep gnomes who are no more racially accepting than any other underdark population (if not more paranoid than any other UD group). Deep gnomes are not hug-able yard art or comical buffoons.
Characters seeking to escape the Lolthite underdark will still need to go to the surface. The underdark will remain under Lolthite control, just as Shadowdale will remain under the control of the Zhentrum. The default factional settings of the server will remain unchanged. | |

| Oh now that does sound very interesting. And yes I agree Deep Gnomes are not Hugable Yard Art. I always wondered why players played their Deep Gnomes like teddybears and comic relief. I am very happy with these new changes coming. Thank you so much to all of you who have taken the lead effort on this big improvement. | |

He may have been before your time but I played Karaz RubyCarver as a violent assassin devotee of Urdlen. He was not yard art, and you better not laugh at him or he'd slit you stem to stern. | |

| there will be another druid circle he and others like him will be able to earn the trust off. but the svilfi village is closed to all none svilf, they are not the most trusting of folks and for good reason, everything wants to eat, torture or do worst to them.

| The DM that was arranging this and the UD dev team of back then have stepped down, or left, I am not sure on the current staffs view on old planned content. to be honest the underdark feels pretty much abandoned in terms of long term UD story and plot.
there are some very fun players about, and when DM foe appears fun stuff always happens, not to mention, now and then you do get the odd dm pop down into the UD to run mini adventures which is cool.
but for the most part, after the recapture of the city, from what Iv heard from others, not much else has happened, and the UD population has lessened rather alot since then.
