A Slain Guard

A guard was reported, drained of his blood on the outskirts of the camp.

The drow priest Talasprina Zau'Afin and her companions, Thril Vilo, Krozz, Moril Relin, and Shula' hel her investigate.

The priestess finds the body to have been turned into a vampire, with quick thinking she creates a make-shift stake with a broken arrow. Hammering it into the guards chest, she paralyzes the creature just before it has a change to make a potentially lethal attack.

The priestess takes out her flaming axe, using it to cut the head off the vampire, leaving it a truelly lifeless body, that shortly turns to a pale dust, leaving only a thankful guard and a handful of witnesses.

Talasprina cries out against the Banshee Queen, decrying the death of all that should think to become her servant.
