Myth Drannor
Something in the water?

With the waning winter solstice upon us many of the area’s inhabitants are curious about the questionable taste of the spring waters that flow through the region of Myth Drannor. Certainly the melt hasn’t affected the acidity of the waters yet, but to be sure, your #1 source for fair and accurate information went searching for answers.

Granak Treage’ a local geologist and nature freak enlightens us with his hypothesis, “To be blunt, it’s as if someone has intentionally . . . urinated into the upstream current. Which should be impossible to distinguish, unless it was done in incredibly large quantities?”
Local officials deny the possibility of this and claim that the runoff from various plants and trees may be able to mimic the taste . . . of urine. When asked specifically how they possessed such knowledge, they immediately declined comment.

In other news, a settlement of Orcs was rumored to be encamped a few miles upstream imbibing vast amounts of Keg-Rot Ale.

Shadowdale
Chickencide or Fowl Play?

A number of sources have confirmed the alarming rate of Chickencide within the centralized location of Shadowdale. Wayfarers young and old have taken to outright and wanton slaughter of the trademark that pecks the grounds of Elminster’s town. Society it appears, has become so wicked and dense that it has taken to massacring chickens by the hundreds. Ten year old Laney Kay explains, “The chickens just ran up and wanted. . .wanted to play, and they just . . .STOMPED their heads in.” She ran off weeping in despair for the fallen fowl. Numerous citizens and Zhentarim are wanted for these miserable deeds.
Rumors have circled that the chickens themselves are to blame and that the rising tension between the mighty Zhentarim and the Legions of the Chick are escalating the problem. “Zhennarim declared war on everbody huzzah, You, ME, the barn over there, hell even my aunt Velma.” Explains and angered local famer. “they came in ehre and just thought to take over, but now theys gots a real problem! The Chickens are pissed! And I even heard the cows wanna get in on it.”
There is concern that if tensions continue to mount, the chickens may go on strike and refuse to produce eggs for the region. More news as this story develops.

Special thanks to the fine citizens of the region in making this newspaper the success it has become. We are the voice of the average, simple and mundane! Speak out and collect your rights to be read!
