Slave at work

Even though it's a warm spring day, and the fact that Malik rarely leaves his office, he makes sure he enters and exits often, his boots suprisingly muddy upon re-entering the temple. He makes sure he walks in the cleaned spots when he does return, but he neither looks to, nor greets the insolent man he gave the task to. The tiefling just scowls at the memory of the young Felonas brother putting out a cigar on the floor of his precious temple..

An old man arrived in the late noon with a palm sized brown pouch attached to his belt. He moved with a purpose, using his staff as support as he shuffled between the aisles toward Bane's altar. And when he reached it, he stood before it for some time while holding this bag he had brought with him in his palm. He became alone with his thoughts until his eye loomed over the fire pit before finally he knelt down and placed his offering amongst a pile of other tributes to The Black Lord. It might have been peculiar to think that this old man, known around Shadowdale as Osric Greymoor, was a hedge wizard who'd only recently became a trainee within the Zhentarim ranks. Just moving from the doorway of the temple to the altar looked like it took him a great deal of effort. When he'd done what he had came for, the old man turned to leave before catching sight of Alvarnos, the slave. He showed this man neither pity nor disgust and more or less greeted this devotee of Bane with an otherwise neutral expression.

Slave Kelinda Cain can be seen making her way into the temple to look for Slave Felonas. Quick of step and purpose. She seeks to help him restock the food and drink stores. If Felonas is not seeing to the task, she takes it on herself.

Watchful Brother Ian Halgrave is seen giving many tasks to the Slaves, and occasionally is witnessed at the doorway of whatever room they work in, arms folded and an approving, yet cold gaze towards them as they complete his tasks.

Kelinda can be seen taking care of most aspects of the temple now, her cleaning duties having by now expanded to most places . She can be seen helping Slave Alvarnos in the tasks as appropriate. They can even be seen talking on occasion , when something Alvarnos says doesn't get on her nerves.

As the time passes, larger black rings can be seen forming under her eyes, some of the haze of sleep deprivation creeping into her actions. She still takes in every Black Sermon that her duty schedule allows for.

When the Brothers and Sisters are in meetings or otherwise busy, she has been known to take messages for them, delivering them via note, or directly where necessary

A flicker of recognition flashes across a small woman's face as she watches Al's body being carried through the Old Skull Inn. She walks downstairs to the kitchen and requests that some food and drink be taken to his room and left there for him. She pays for this herself, and requests that her identity remains unknown.

Kelinda, despite moving in obvious pain and exhaustion she does not halt her tasks. She goes about it in labored ways, attempting to do as little bending as possible, opting to kneel or lay on her back instead.

People walking past her would hear muttered prayers to the Dark Lord under her breath with every movement. The act almost habitual to her now.

On what little free time she has, she can be seen spending the bulk of it in the dungeon , for what purpose only an observer would know..

Watchful Brother Halgrave watches the pair with a faint smirk, approving of their determination. He takes careful notice when Kelinda heads down to the dungeon, one time even heading down to observe whatever she's doing himself. It seems that he takes a great deal of interest ensuring that both are as well-prepared as they can be for the trials ahead.

The next day Kelinda can be seen seeing to her duties cleaning, scrubbing and helping her fellow slave keep the church as clean as it could be. She has a bit more spring in her step then the prior days, the obviously sleep deprivation lessening as she starts getting semi proper sleep once more.

On her time off, she can be seen sitting on one of the pew's, starring at the podium as if looking for some sort of insight there, her notebook opened up on her lap.
