| Somewhere within the Cormanthor, not far from the Mistwood, patrols out of Myth Drannor discover a moderately sized camp, with perhaps a dozen tents, and a wagon with a pair of horses. The camp has been heavily - though clearly hurriedly - burned, and it's occupants slaughtered to the last man, woman and child. Cursory investigation will reveal that although the camp was burned, nothing of any note appears to have been stolen, even the horses, which lie slain near their paddock. In the underbrush off to one side of the camp, and along a small forest path, anyone with even the slightest knowledge of tracking would be able to recognise the signs of a significant struggle, although if any of the attackers fell their bodies were apparently retrieved. If it was not already obvious from the lack of stolen supplies, numerous distinctive bolt and arrow designs, chips of armour and scraps of demonweb cloth leave no question for those with the eyes and knowledge to recognise it- the attackers were Drow. Other than this, a strange puddle of ooze, surrounded by scuffed tracks of elves and - apparently - some sort of giant spider, stands out as unusual - as does the apparent dearth of elven tracks leading away from the campsite. Otherwise it is simply yet another tale of innocent travellers lost to the depredations of a night raid by the Drow in the depths of the Cormanthor. [posted with permission from DM Defiler] | |

| Having been exploring the forest idly for days, Eranna's tiny blue-haired head pops up from a nearby bush and she surveys the sight before her. She'd been spending days floating from place to place in the forest playing around carelessly and poking around at things curiously. But upon viewing the campsite, she knows better than to touch anything. Instead, she paces the perimeter quickly, taking in as many details as she could note with what little knowledge she posesses before hurrying off back to the Arivaela'ruar camp. She'll have to tell someone, even if no one thinks much of it, the bodies will have to be identified and buried properly. | |

| *Appearing quite literally from thin air, Jhaeros is teleported to Myth Drannor. Confused and generally discombobulated, he lays in the road for some time, down the hill from the Temple. He is dizzy and his armor shows the marks of several arrows. He smells a bit like burnt cloth and hair, and is missing his left ear.
When he can stand, he staggers out of the city and down to the Arivaela'ruar encampment, passing a large group of citizens arguing about orcs or something of little concern to him at that point, since much of it doesn't even make sense to him in this dazed state.
He eventually finds a quiet spot to relax in, laying on his right side so he doesn't hurt what small lump is left of his ear.
Another day, another trip to a cleric...*
((Teleported by a DM, who gave that as the method of our escape. Don't bite my head off!))

- Mahalion takes a long time before realizing that there is the body of an elf laying on the ground and apparently in urgent need of medical attention. He immediately goes to Jhaeros and takes him to their First-aid tent and lays him on one of the beds, looking him over as he looks over his wounds and heals him as he can with both mundane and magical methods.
Eranna follows worriedly after rising from her indignant position on the ground. She quickly settles into a tense silence as she watches Mahalion go to work. It is quite obvious that she'll have to wait to show him the destruction of the camp she'd seen. In the mean time, she stands just out of his way, waiting for any possible commands he might give her.
