Shadows in the Tunnels

The drowess Nanga Zau’afin sits in camp discussing the strange portal with a few males. Not liking their answers she moves off to examine the portal herself. She mutters a few curses about useless males.




Nanga moves closer to the portal cursing a bit and in general being her spoiled bitchy self. She begins to examine the portal drawing on her vast Bardic knowledge. Lore Mod 100 total 112



Nanga steps closer…and closer almost without caution, her arrogance pushing her forward.

Quath'sil wonders if this has to do anything with other shadowy portals like the one in the Minatour tunnels.

1) Should Nanga step through the portal, she'd find herself enveloped in cold, utterly silent darkness. She cannot create sound, she cannot see, she cannot feel anything but cold. It is near impossible to tell how much time passes, but eventually, the darkness is replaced in a WHOOSH by some strange, unknown tunnel. She is in the Underdark, and on the Prime Material - but where, only Lolth could know. Back in the original tunnel, the portal collapses on itself with a hiss, perhaps to appear elsewhere another time.

2) If Nanga stops before entering the portal, all remains the same.

((We got some SS I think but I don't have them.))

Quath'sil and the group alerts the guards to come and report if the shadows expand even one inch and she reports the incident to the Yath.

Nanga pauses at the last moment...eyes closed she moans again...her fingers caressing the powerful energies of the portal...she turns and walks away quickly to report her findings to the nearest Yathrin..

Nanga kneels before Yathrin Quath'sil and reports what she has discovered.



The Yathrin discusses the portal with all who are present within the camp. It is only natural for the Yath to be in control of such things. The presence of the shadow portal so close to the camp is a concern for all.



Nanga leads the Yathrin and others to investigate. The group examines and discuss for a lengthy amount of time. Nanga ponders pushing her ancient enemy the Shebali Jaluk Jarzyr into the portal but decides not to. For some reason the Yathrin favors the male much to the irritation of the Bae’queshel Nanga.



After much discussion the group pulls back. The Yathrin summons forth a minion to guard the portal. The Sargtlin commands another to watched the portal and report any activity immediately.

The group returns to camp to ponder and discuss what was learned. The Yath as a whole would be notified…reports given and commands wait.

If anyone cared, it would be notable after some time, that the two Jaluks, Jhael and Ixiaer Qual'Phaer are nowhere to be found.

If looked for, one of the guards by the chasm would report they were seen lurking around, and eventually entering into, the darkened passage.
No one has seen them come out of the darkness again.

The Drowess Nanga would care if only enough to mutter curses about stupid males. Why any male would venture into such magical portals without first consulting the Yath would be a matter for severe discipline.

Nanga would discuss with the Sargtlin guards and give orders to stop any further patrols unless counter commanded by a competant Yathrin.

No Jaluk is to advance upon the portal unless under the command of the Yath. The Yath are to be informed of any strange occurances...all information about the portal will be reported to the Yath immediatly

The Drowess Nanga and the Jaluk Bhinas sit in camp discussing the portal and other things. A strange Duergar has been spotted wandering about with no apparent focus or direction. Bhinas offers to enslave the Duergar as a gift to the Drowess much to her enjoyment. She snarls and declines saying she would rather a pureblood Jaluk serve her.

The pair discuss the obvious uselessness of this duergar and debate on throwing him into the portal. Perhaps then it may serve some purpose if only to die from the mystical shadow energies.

The pair of drow laugh together and makes jokes about the pathetic duergar befor them.

Nanga and Bhinas return to the portal with the Duergar...intent on throwing the duergar into the portal the pair are greatly disapointed as the portal collapses befor their eyes..

Quath'sil asks the guards if the two jaluken seen again or completely lost in the depths of the portal?

The jaluk Ixiaer has been reported to have returned to the camp, and has been seen talking to both Zin and Bhinas on separate occasions apparently working out some sort of agreement.

Jhael has not been seen since entering the darkness...

Due to some OOC things, Jhael won't be around for a while. He will return soonish (I hope).
