A grizzly sight in the Starwood Empty
PostSubject: A grizzly sight in the Starwood   A grizzly sight in the Starwood EmptyMon Jan 07, 2013 2:24 am

Every so often when the sun arises over the Starwood, the bodies of what use to be drow lay in the dirt. Even the most untrained eye can tell that the drow were viciously attacked by some massive bladed weapon. It is quite clear that a large amount of rage was taken out on these creatures and whoever caused this was taking trophies as each of the drow had been cleanly scalped.

If asked, the three guards at the small elven camp would say they saw a heavily armored man with a helmet the shape of a dog fighting the drow with a sword almost the size of himself and that he breathed fire. If what they say was true or exaggerated is not quite clear.

Nadin comments with the camped elves at morning

- The ones I know to walk in dog style are the hounds. Well, whoever he was he did us a favor.

Preparing some spells and picking a torch he adds

- Now to finish this, lets pile and burn the bodies. Don't want to leave these to the necro maniacs.

As the number of drow have increased in resent times Cruven makes his rounds more frequently, as before the drow appear brutally murdered and their heads scalped. This time as he finishes his battles anyone around to see the aftermath would see he now appears covered in his own blood as well as the blood of drow. The House insignias appear torn off their armor and robes and inserted into the mouths of each of the dead drow is a coin with the symbol of Hoar on it.

My'manir would order her men to bring whoever is leaving corpses of drow laying around the forest to the elven camp, and with force if the individual will not come peacefully.

As Mara is walking her patrol in the forest she sees the elven guards.
If your lookin for the one that did this..good luck. He won't be taken by you or anyone at least by guards. Now if you ask nicely he just might come see your Keeper. Good luck boys be seein ya around. She walks on and waves to them with a shake of her head.

If the elven troops would head out at day they would find no sign of the man, however should they travel at night or early morning even the most novice of trackers would easily be able to follow a set of heavy, bloody footprints and a trail of dead monsters that lead deeper into the forest, past the spider mound and all the way back to the Two Forts along the North Ride.

((forgot to add this:))

Should the elves arrive durring a battle, it would be quite clear that the man was in a bloody frenzy, most likely not something you'd want to get too close to.

Once more the sun rises over the Starwood, and once more dozens of drow lay mercilessly butchered across the forest. It's clear to even the least trained eye that someone took out a severe amount of rage on the drow, hardly any remains having any limbs attached. Every drow has had their head removed from their shoulders, the heads laying a few feet from what can hardly be called a corpse. Every head has once again been scalped clean.

Once again, it's clear the man who did this had quite the temper.

Talking with the guards about the new butchery scene, Nadin adds

- It seems the drow are tasting some of their own brutality... well, this is not my way, neither the elven way, but honestly I would be a liar if I said that I do care. After all, a good drow is a beaheaded one.
