Golden wings glide through the air

Throughout the taverns, near and afar, word quickly spreads of a dragon, golden in color gliding through the air between Shadowdale and Myth Drannor. Some have doubted such a powerful dragon’s presence yet to those who have seen, certain identifying marks on the Great Wyrm cannot be denied. It’s head short and thick with two large protruding horns. There are conflicting reports that this dragon has fourteen whiskers though it’s but a rumor. One supposed eyewitness said it’s easily 300 feet though others have guessed it closer to 150 feet.

Only but a few might understand its purpose. Some less wise believe it to padding it’s hoard, others with a better understanding would understand that it’s not typical behavior for a gold dragon and something is amiss. It’s rare to earn the wrath of a golden dragon though when it occurs, it will never rest until those who have wronged are brought to justice or death.

Valtore hears of these stories and rumors of the great dragon and nods his head at the many known evil doers that wonder the lands. He soon gathers supplies and starts off looking for this dragon as he's only killed them in the past and would be interested in talking to one or offering what little aid he could to a great force of law and order to the land.

Tay'lin would stand on a top of a hill in a clearing in Starwood with her head up high, waiting for the dragon to pass.

The golden dragon finding little answers in flight decides to take a more direct approach. He gracefully lands nearby Myth Drannor where he enlists the assistance of several Elves who he requests to spread the following message within the city. While he certainly does not seem flustered, he looks quite determined and some may find it odd he remains in his form. He towers over them being nearly 23 feet tall and over 135 feet long.

Seeing that the Gold has landed in Myth Drannor, Jacia would meet with Nadin and Leo and go before it. She would speak in a particular dialect of Draconic that is familiar to Gold Dragons. As she stands before it she holds the bunched up cloth of the dragon egg remains in her arms as if cradling it like a mother would. She kneels before the Wrym with great reverence and speaks.

"Great Shalathiux-atan, I come before you with great sorrow. But I also bring you an offering of justice for the man that committed a heinous crime against your kind. I am Jacia, Holy Warrior of Bahamut and sworn protector of the Gold Dragon Adamarondor. I have here with me the remains of an unborn child that was mercilessly killed by a Swordhand of the Zhentarim, known as Bainyrr Dragonfire, curse him for taking such a surname." She would pause a moment, greatly saddened by having to repeat the crime and arches her head up so she may view the dragon better and begins to unravel the cloth, revealing the shattered Gold Dragon egg. "I have come to return the remains of the child to you so that the grieving parent can be put to ease. And I swear from this day, until I wake in the City of the Dead that I will do all that I can to bring the man responsible for this to justice!"

Shalathiux-atan lowers his thick neck, it's length nearly 34 feet and peers at the man then the remnants of the egg with his slanted and golden eyes.

His name was to be Tlanxinar, he was past the point of incubation where he could have survived and the breaking of the egg should have but left him in a critical condition, appearing dead. Any skilled enough may have been able to notice it. Who has his body Holy Warrior Jacia?
This...Swordhand, he must be brought to justice, immediately as will Phaedrixneatac for his deeds.

Nadin so talks, immitating as best he can Jacia manners with the dragon

Great Shalathiux-atan, we came specially because of the child, as we noticed he can be assisted, so why we are in so great urge, and we made haste to contact you, thinking maybe you could do something to assist sir Leo while he assists the baby, attempting to revive him, in fact we were just ready to start when news came about your presence great one.

Shalathiux-atan continues to peer to Nadin. Bring him to me, discover if he lives! I only hope you understood the conditions needed for revival..

Jacia would nod determinedly to the dragon, still kneeling she would gingerly hand the remains to Leo and speak prayers to Bahamut as Leo prepares his wards. Once she utters her prayer she would turn to Nadin and speak with renewed strength to her voice.

"I will conduct patrols daily to find this Swordhand, if you are able to spare any of the Akh'Velahr to aid my patrols I would be greatly in your debt. I seek to right this atrocity and capture the Swordhand and bring him before Great Shalathiux-atan so that he may determine the man's fate."

Nadin frows slightly and nods to Jacia before speak, in a lowered tone to not make Leo's job more difficult.

- Our priority was the child as soon as we discivered he is barely alive, this crime was horrendous, but doesn't need end in tragedy if we can avoid to happen, so I have faith. Great Shalathiux-atan, this man doesn't acted alone as he is nothing but a soldier, even if his arm inflicted the blow. We can hunt him as you said lady Jacia, and bring him to justice, but so we should do about those who are with him, and we already do this. I cannot spare Akh'Velahr to do what they already do, if you can understand me.

Pauses and adds

- Great Shalathiux-atan, Myth Drannor reborns nowadays, one so elder like you saw empires rising and crumbling I suppose... our mythal is anew and many of the evil races cannot enter its limits. I'm glad we are able to offer you this help, but the criminal is just a symptom of a greater disease, the zhentarin in the dales.

Jay would happen to be in Myth Drannor when the huge beast landed to talk to the locals. Fascinated, yet intimidated, he would keep at a distance while simply listening to the ongoing conversation with the creature. At some point, he would shift his attention towards a specific person, pondering.

- By avoid a tragedy I meant, I have faith the baby will survive... the destiny of the traitorous elf was decided by himself some time ago, as I don't trouble myself about those elves able to turn their back to the creator as he did.

Shalathiux-atan looks over Leo and nods, a calm demeanor as he observes the Arch-Spirit's methods.

You're quite versed in such, tell me your name. I would not have recommended the stoneskin spell though it appears you method will be successful. It's quite curious observing the methods of humanoids, compared to the life of my kind, your life is but a moment long yet your wisdom provides amazement and inspiration.

After addressing Leo, Shalathiux-atan looks to Nadin

I understand you have responsibillities and I respect that. The fight can be brought to them once another is brought to justice. I will warn you all now, you face a great danger with Phaedrixneatac around. Do not believe this egg could have been stolen by anyone without such power. I know of a local Red Dragon, far below the power possesed by Phaedrixneatac who fears Phaedrixneatac and would likely side against him just to rid him of this area. If you can commit your forces to assist in destroying Phaedrixneatac, I will commit my own power to assist with yours.

- Pardon my ignorance, but I don't know who is Phaedrixneatac, but by your speech I presume he is a red dragon, and one very elder... In this case I need to let the Keeper aware. May you give us time to discuss this matter with my superiors great Shalathiux-atan? If you wish to keep the egg within the mythal boundaries, this can be discussed as well... unless you prefer to keep the baby away in a place you judge safer. I hope to know him after he is born... I feel he will survive, and this is a miracle by itself.

Jacia would stay near Leo, still muttering soft prayers to Bahamut for the full recovery of the child. Though when Shalathiux-atan mentions that there is another lesser Red Dragon in the area besides Phaedrixneatac that may aid them in the fight against Phaedrixneatac she looks up to Shalathiux-atan and speaks with a bit of scorn in her voice.

"I will not parley with another chromatic dragon to see Phaedrixneatac pay for his crimes against you Great Shalathiux-atan. I am committed to seeing these lands safe from all dragons of chromatic colors by my faith to Bahamut. Lest he strike me where I stand, I will see to it that both Red Dragons are either slain or driven off from their holdings here in the Dales."

Shalathiux-atan looks to Leo and lowers his long neck, peering into the man.

Well met Leo Lyon, forever will you deeds be remembered by this one.

Shalathiux-atan then turns towards Nadin once more

Phaedrixneatac is a powerful Red Dragon, he is conniving, deceitful and has a greed like none you've ever seen. If permitted, I would bring the egg within the city and ensure it's sustainabillity so it may heal. Know that often a Golden Hatchling seeks time in the company of Elves as a Ward. He however will never be safe with Phaedrixneatac anywhere around these parts.

He peers to Jacia and gives him a comforting look

This local Red Dragon is not very powerful and knows such. Rid these lands of him as your beliefs require though for now, he has another use to this objective.

Jacia would nod determinedly to Shalathiux and speak with less venom to her voice.

"I will see that it is done, Great Shalathiux-atan. I trust your wisdom in this endeavor and I only ask if you could show me the way to this lesser Red's cavern. No doubt he resides within the mountains close to the Cormanthor?"
