| Taeron's patrol takes quite some time - but it's quite likely that the man would find him on the road, if he waited patiently enough.
He would be walking the road in his darksteel field plate. The armor is large and bulky - perhaps too large to be worn by a footsoldier. Taeron walks with his head held high - easily recognizable even from a distance.

| *having gotten a fair description of Taeron from Elektra and others in Myth Drannor, he would notice the man approaching and suspect he is indeed the Taeron he is looking for. His armor and weapons would be neatly laid out on a blanket under a leanto. Posted on a tree next to the leanto is a House of Redemption flier. In front of him a camp fire with a suckling pig roasting on a spit and wild edible roots baking on the hot stones next to the fire. Dressed in soft cotton robes, dyed maroon and yellow he would stand slowly as Taeron approached*
Ah fair day mate... care to take a break from the trail and share some of my wine and food? Would certainly be nice to have someone to talk to. I've been camped here for too many hours to count...

| The barbarian arches a brow, looking the man over from head to toe.
"Right."
He looks around, trying to spot any bushes or trees - where a few men could be hiding, ready for an ambush. He then returns his gaze to Crypto.
"In all the years I've spent on the road, you're the first man to offer wine and food to random travelers. I'd say there are two things this might mean... First - this is some sort of a new bandit ambush. In that case, I'd say you can call in your men and we get this over with."
He pats the axe at his belt as he says so - looking around once again.
"The second option is - this is not an ambush, and offering food and wine to travelers is the new "thing" here in the Dales. In that case, I guess the insanity of the Dales just reached a brand new level."
The man then looks over the camp, spotting the leaflet on the tree and frowning a bit.

| *Crypto notices Taeron's uneasiness and perks his keen ear to the woods around them... then notices Taeron's disapproval of the fliers and looks back to him with a polite yet firm voice.*
Hmmm... nope... this isn't some sort of man trap, mate. *chuckles quietly*
I'm pretty sure we're alone. To be perfectly honest, I heard the Barbarian Taeron was passing through here and I have been waiting to speak with him. Fore I am Crypto, Headmaster of the House of Redemption, and I understand this barbarian takes issue with our new institution.
*pours a copper mug of wine for them both... sips one as a gesture of 'no it's not poisoned' then offers him a mug*
I was hoping to have a diplomatic chat with this man... perhaps you know of whom I seek or have seen him?
Please seat... have some of my food. *Bows head respectfully as he sits down between fire and leanto*

| "I think it's quite obvious that I am Taeron. There are not many Uthgardt barbarians walking the lands. And I appreciate the offer, but I am too old for stupid mistakes. So I won't be eating your food or drinking your wine. For now."
Taeron rolls his shoulders a bit - he looks around one more time before focusing on Crypto. He still keeps his guard up.
"I have no problems with various establishments. But I do have problems with people who pact with devils, then hone the pact for years and years - telling people that they are innocent victims. Or that they are followers of Sune."
The barbarian shakes head for some reason, then continues.
"The pact doesn't grow in a man unless the man feeds it. The woman evidently spent quitea large part of her life feeding the pact, improving her control and skill. I saw what she can do. And I can say that she is not a victim. She embraces the pact. And she attacked me when she was given a chance to leave. She was unmasked as a devil-pacter and a Zhent helper and now she's doing her best to paint the picture of a "poor victim" again. I don't buy it. And I will make sure no one else falls in for that again. There's a reason she's banned from the elven city. If your intentions with this establisment are genuine, you should stay away from her."
The man ponders something for a brief moment, then adds:
"Come to think of it... Where exactly do you plan to educate these people? Myth Drannor won't allow it, nor will the owner of the Royal Oak. I doubt the Academy will let you use their halls... So that leaves us with Freehaven - a Thayan slaver town, and Shadowdale. Shadowdale wouldn't probably let you teach people about any other faiths, so that leaves me with Freehaven... Am I right?"

| *he sips his wine calmly... breaks a bit of bread to eat*
I doubt I'm going to change your mind about her. I know what you say happened, I know what she says happened. I don't really want to get into that as I am sure it would just lead to raised tempers and not much getting solved.
When I met her she already had this power... this curse. I've also born witness to the touch of Sune upon her heart with mine own eyes... noone is going to convince me of otherwise.
I have never met this Zhent you speak of but I know she does not mingle with them. I am with her in Shadowdale nearly every day. They pay her little heed, and her them. Frankly she helps everyone in need she comes across, and I love her for that. Certainly that will please some and upset others.
*sighs looking to the fire, pausing to sip wine... then continues with an air of admiration*
Our institution is already growing. We are four now. Two of Kelemvor and two of Sune... Will will go where we need to... to be fruitful. If it is Freehaven that is the only place we can safely work to develop ourselves and our members. So mote it be.
*he sits at camp a while to finish the food he has prepared and eventually would begin to pack up and clean up after, leaving little trace that he was ever there save for the fliers should any remain up.*

| If you believe the words of a devil pacter who has no memory of the event, and the only "facts" she has are second-handed information from untrustworthy zhents, that is your decision. I will not try to persuade you otherwise. As for Sune's touch... Yeah, right. Just like Nanga was touched by Elistraee herself. Five people swore that happened. They all saw the godess herself descend from heavens to touch the "innocent drow". Later it turned out she was a Lolthite drow the whole time. So that's what I think about "Sune's touch". If the godess wanted to protect her, or give her a chance - she would touch me. She'd make sure I won't kill her again when I meet her. If she was a devoted Sunite before, there was no need to touch her. If she was not, not even a god's touch would persuade her. There's also the option of doing the "touch" in bloody public for all eyes to see. In the middle of a town, settlement or a gathering.
I personally won't believe it. Sune is not a godess to give a crap about a devil.
As for the "curse". It's only a curse when it hampers your life. I've seen her prowess with the eldritch magic and I can assure you - she had to spent a large portion of her life -embracing- it to get it to this level. She doesn't see it as a curse, and I believe you're a fool that you do.
And you say she doesn't mingle with the Zhents. Well, she'd be damn stupid if she did it in public. I have information that she's in the coven of Zaburra. One of the highest ranking zhents out there. A devil pacter, none the less. Not to mention she was saved by a Zhent the day I killed her.
If I were you, I'd take a step back and reconsider the relationship. It seems you can't see past her bosom.
*the barbarian states it plainly, watching the man pack the camp. There's no sign of any emotion in his voice throughout the conversation. He's like a damn good poker player. Not letting his face show his hand...*
If I meet her again, I will bring her down. If you chose to stand by her side when I do so, that's your choice. And I respect it.
