Official Positions Announced By The Mayor

Glamerie calls all the citizens of Shadowdale as she is going to make an announcement. As the people gather she smiles to all of them and speaks with a clear and strong voice.

People of Shadowdale, it is with my great pleasure to announce, I have chosen a deputy mayor and a sheriff. Mara Brinsbane has so graciously accepted the offer of Sheriff. She will be hiring deputies to help her with this task. I have also chosen a Deputy Mayor. Sir Vincent Blake-Aseph has also graciously accepted the task. I also hope that Mr. Taeron will continue as our Militia Commander. Now that does leave open one spot for High Harvest Mistress, which I will be speaking to someone about very soon She would giggle at that as everyone would suspect the person she intends to talk to. Glamerie would smile and look much like she did years ago.

After the speech is concluded, Phenix would give an exaggerated clap and yell with complete sarcasm "Bravo! What a wonderful day to be a Shadowdalian... just absolutely wonderful!" After his little outburst he'd move behind the crowd checking out several of the females within it.

An old woman named Valerie nods quietly as the announcements are made; her agreement with them obvious but silent. She'd turn to one of the children nearby and give them a wink. "I'd best make myself scarce in case she wants to talk to me, aye?" She chuckles at her own little joke and makes her way over to the fire to begin a new knitting project.

Emrys leans against one of the lampposts, his arms folded across his chest as he curiously listens to what Glamerie has to say to the people of Shadowdale. Upon its conclusion, his eyes dart about the crowd to see their reaction.

"Hm, things seem to be going as one would expect so far 'round here," he mutters quietly to himself. "S'pose we'll see how it all turns out in the long-run."

Pushing himself off the lamppost, Emrys makes his way to the Old Skull as the crowd disperses, offering a polite smile and tip of his hat to some of those he passes by.

As Glamerie calls for a gathering, Vincent wipes his forehead of sweat from helping those he can to gather around Glamerie choosing to stick near the back of the crowd. Listening to her words he'd smirk slightly and nod once. The moment her speech is over, he'd give a warm smile to anyone who'd approach or look at him, before making his way to Glamerie for a short whispered talk and then proceeding his way out of town to finish some other business.

*The Uthgardt barbarian could be seen somewhere in town, muttering something in Illuskan.*

Tasker will observe the crowd gathered for the meeting. He will compare this list with the list he made earlier and take note of whois on both list.

Celovar looks annoyed as the positions are listed.

"Well with a Mayor like that its time to get out of this town, I've done enough."

He packs up his tools and what not and heads out of the city.

Kalthanar spits on the ground as the names are listed and walks off

Cruven would smirk to himself after hearing of Mara getting appointed as Sheriff before going about his daily routines.

*Around a week later Julia arrives in Town, coming from Drannor, in a convoy, with a retinue and seeds for the off season wheat winter crop*

Glamerie would smile brightly and give Julia a hug.

"Thank you for returning so quickly." She grinned. "And thank you for agreeing to step up as High Harvest Mistress for Shadowdale. It warms my heart to know the people of Shadowdale will still have someone to guide them and tend to the harvests."

"For now, I believe we should continue to work toward returning Chauntae's grace to these lands, nurturing the lands so they'll yield all the bounty we could ask for in the coming years."
