Some badly written words at the top that perhaps say REVARD
A rough picture - a scrawl - of what looks like a dog
Or perhaps a cat
then some unintelligible words beneath the picture
that might include a number

Mark looks at the note and after spending several minutes trying to understand it, he gives up and sighs "Look for the weird dog, okay, can do that... Cats, dogs, brrrr..."

A short time later a small dog comes by and looks at the note and then looks around to see if it is being watched and then pulls the note down and eats it. Then quickly leaves the scene.
