Opportunity in Shadowdale

The government of Shadowdale is proud to announce a new initiative in the founding of the Auxiliary Team of the Shadowdale Militia. The Auxiliary Team offers an opportunity for those who would like to lend their skills and talents to the township of Shadowdale without the obligation and militarized structure of serving in the militia. In essence, the Auxiliary Team is an adventuring troupe which will function with the endorsement and sanction of Shadowdale. Overseen ultimately by Militia Commander Taeron, the Auxiliary Team works directly with Secretary Bryanna. Below is more information on the Auxiliary Team. Interested parties can contact Secretary Bryanna. Remember, this is a volunteer organization.

The Auxiliary Team

Command Structure:
Primary: Militia Commander Taeron
Secondary: Secretary Bryanna
Tertiary: Unfilled/Vacant

Members unless otherwise appointed will operate as a cooperative collective.


Purpose:
The Auxiliary Team will support the regular militia in their efforts to keep Shadowdale secure and safe. The Auxiliary Team (A-Team) will patrol the exterior roads of Shadowdale's territory. The A-Team will be available to aid allies and friends of Shadowdale against immediate threats. The A-Team will proactively work with the Shadowdale Government for the well being of the people of Shadowdale.

Membership:
Membership in the Auxiliary team is open to anyone however the following points should be kept in mind. Membership in the A-Team is a privilege. Anyone deemed to not be worthy of the Township's endorsement will be turned out from the A-Team or denied entry to the A-Team. This determination is to be made by the Secretary and Government Officials.

Rules:
1.) ALL members of the A-Team will adhere to all laws of Shadowdale while operating inside or outside of the township's borders.
2.) ALL members of the A-Team will respond directly, respectfully, and immediately to orders issued by the Militia Commander, Sheriff, Deputy-Mayor, and Mayor in times of immediate crisis.
3.) ALL members of the A-Team will maintain a standard of civil and courteous behavior to the commoners, officials, and citizenry of Shadowdale, Myth Drannor, and the Ironhouse Halls.
4.) ALL members of the A-Team will refrain from needlessly cruel or evil acts on the battlefield. Quarter will be given where asked, prisoners will be treated well and turned over to the authorities of the region they are taken in, and noncombatants will not be harmed.
5.) NO member of the A-Team unless deputized by the Sheriff will act to enforce the laws of Shadowdale, unless a citizen is in immediate danger and requires assistance. ((You ain't the police, but don't just watch a mugging.))

((This group has the OOC requirement of a reasonable description being associated with your PC. As a point of RP, there are just some things we know by looking at you IG and that needs to be available to those you interact with.))

(( This is a PC group. They won't be part of governing the town or enforcing the laws. What this offers is a way to organize and enjoy being a part of the Shadowdale faction by doing all those things the NPCs can't or wont do. The rules you see are the only ones there are, you wont have people barking orders, telling you to salute etc, just a very lax, laid back way to be involved. anyone who potentially does want to become part of the government faction.. be it as a militia officer, deputy, etc etc.. this is a good place to start.))
