A half-blood Uthgardt? Hah. That's new.

*He asks it with a smirk - probably a weird joke*

*When Marks mentions Luskan, Taeron once again arches his brow - perhaps Mark just caught his interest*

What are the chances? Meeting two people from the North. Interesting.

And calling us nuts...

Yeah, that hurts coming from someone from Luskan.

"Oi, I've seen my share, can't blame a man for being careful. And I have been around plenty of time for you to meet me, do I need a lady to catch your attention?" he chuckles and looks at Asteria, allowing her to talk, since he knows she will be interested in asking a few things.

A lady always helps.

She tilts her head and looks to Mark. "Eh, I dunno. He seems pretty stable ta me...so far, anyway." She responds in a low whisper.

She smirks and shrugs. "Guess m'the odd ball out." She chuckles. She arches a brow when he studies her and she folds her arms over her chest. "Pfft, I bet m'too old." She smirks. "Just turned twenty eight." She chuckles at the joke nonetheless. Asteria seems to have a sense of humor on her and she seems to relax when she sees he may have one, too.

"As fer bein' nuts...I think tha' is pretty ironic coming from you." She grins and teases Mark, elbowing him lightly.

She groans and grumbles more about how unlady-like she is.

"Just like an expert swordsman recognizes a man good with a sword, I think I have earned the right to say who's nuts and who isn't with a great deal of accuracy, so no elbows" He smirks looking at Asteria "What can the LADY and I do for you, nutjob? And no offense taken about my pride, I didn't even knew I had such thing to be honest" he laughs a bit.

I have seen almost forty winters, girl. So there's a chance... *he smirks*

So, anyway... Are you two waiting for someone, up to stir some trouble or am I just disturbing a perfectly ordinary date?

"Obviously, 'cause that's the point of dates, to have them without knowing... It makes it funnier to kiss you if I have to avoid a slap afterwards" Mark answers with a poker face, but he crack a smile after a while
"I would say we were having a fun time together in a non-sexual way, and you are very welcome to join our conversation about how many mugs of ale it takes for a dwarf to roll like a barrel"

As much as I'd like to roll dwarves like a barrel, I have a patrol to finish. You two enjoy the day and stay alert. This place is not safe. Never was.

*With that, the barbarian locks his helmet back into his armor and prepares to leave*

She snorts and rolls her eyes. Then, she looks thoughtful as she raises a brow. "Would dwarves even roll like a barrel, anyway?"

She looks to Taeron curiously. "Patrol, eh? Just randomly 'er...? Seems a bit odd ta do it randomly, though." She scratches her head. "Still, guess it was nice meetin' ya. Kinda funny I meet an Uthgardt before heading back north again. Guess Tempus has a sense o' humor tha' way. Thought Soren an' I were t'only warriors around."

She walks up to Taeron and offers her hand. "Hope we get ta talk again. I have a lotta questions if ya would be willin' ta answer them sometime when yer not on patrol."

The patrol is not random. I'm doing what I can to keep Shadowdale safe. And before the battle of Shadowdale, I spent most of my days on the roads, looking out for bandits, Zhentarim, drow or other cowardly scum.

I'll be happy to talk to a Northerner - you can find me in Shadowdale. If I'm not on a patrol, I am most likely drilling the militia or standing guard in the towns center.

*Taeron accepts the offered hand - shaking it firmly, although he smirks slightly as he does so*

Asteria watches Taeron clank off with his plate and down the road. She tilts her head and mutters to herself. "Huh. Guess I know who tha' is now." After watching the barbarian leave, she turns back to Mark.

"M'not surprised. I've heard good things about him from Rav." She looks to Mark. "An' Rav usually isn't wrong about tha' kinda thing."

She smiles back.

"Pretty much. How d'ya think I've been livin' m'life and have such a drive fer survival?" She chuckles. "An' yeh, ya do! I hope ya know where ta get some decent whiskey 'round 'ere." She grins at him.

"Pretty sure each time I see ya, one of us is gonna owe t'other whiskey." She snickers.

"Who says I am going to pay you pay with the same coin?" he says with a sly grin

At dawn, the barbarian pins a note to the door of the House and slips another note beneath her bedroom door. The note pinned to the House door simply reads:

With that, she begins to wrap herself in extra layers of furs and cloth, then slips a hood and mask over her face. Leaving into the early dawn fully armed, she slips onto her warhorse Hellsbane and rides off down the nearest road; armor jingling and weapons shining in the morning sun.

*stands at a distance watching Starblade train her men with a soft smile and then strides forward calling out in a low baritone* Captain Asteria, save some for later, you Owe me a Spar when your done with your duties.

While Asteria was seen on a recent return to the House of Redemption, she's been missing for two tendays. Rumors have it that the woman was seen packing up her bags and headed to Shadowdale. When she arrived to Shadowdale, she ventured to the Old Skull Inn, rented a large room and locked herself inside. On her trip to Shadowdale, the warrioress looked rather exhausted...and oddly enough, wasn't in her armor but in a simple tunic.

* A number of nights go by be for Ravossel finds out were her friend is. Early one morning there is defiant knock on Asteria's door, but soft like as if from a smaller sized person.*
