Jack's capture.

After reading the letters and hearing Tohrm in Shadowdale Karovir stops, shakes his head and grumbles:
"The Zhentarim really have nothing to do anymore, right? How long did he need to write those or did they ask some slaves to do that because apparently they have nothing else to do? Whatever I am not going to bother much with that."

He would then go to the farms to look after farmers. If he would notice that the farmers who read the letters are worried he would gather them, especially all the farmers who have been his trainees and talk to them:

"I hope you are not worried about this much. The Zhentarim had the power to take this town once and rather easily. Will they be able to do that again? No. Because they know you can fight and you know you can defeat them." He pauses and then just adds: "I also would wish them much fun with trying to get enough people to Shadowdale. The roads are not very safe for Zhentarim troops these days."

The next day Karovir departs from Shadowdale and travels to the Black Hounds fort knocking at their door and waiting.

As Sister Laura knocks on the door the archer, knowing who she is, would motion one of the golems to open the gate for her.

As Karovir knocks on the door the archer, this time not knowing him, would look down at him.
"What can we do fer ya mate?"

Laura hands the letter she received to the archer and explains why she feels more comfortable staying in a place with big iron guards and walls.

"I'm certain I look silly for worrying...I won't stay long." She pauses and looks back to the doors, not really wanting to walk home when its dark either. "But...if you need a cook or maid, I wouldn't mind staying."

*Should he be approached by one of the militia who might have seen the letter and start worrying, the barbarian would simply sigh and talk to the man*

A floating Shadovar city, Army of adamantine golems from the sky, Hellfire wyrm with his legions, Demon prince from the abyss, Scyllua Darkhope, an army of orcs, a demigod called Lord of Filth, Malar himself, psionic army of the Illithid, deranged spirits, Aurilites and gods know what else made the same claims over and over again. And Shadowdale still stands. Stronger than ever before. A single lunatic changes nothing. If he comes, he will be taken down along with any and all allies he may bring. "It is said that you recently caught an evil Zhentarim mage who looks, to sum it up, like a terrible excuse of a human being. I would like to know what you are going to do with him and maybe have a talk with whoever is sentencing him. My name is Karovir if that tells you anything."

"Go find them Shadowdale leader folks, they're choosin wha' happens ta him."

Imesah goes about trying to find as many letters that were delivered to destroy. Seeing as there aren't many that were likely delivered it likely doesn't take too long.

"I see. Thanks." Karovir says before just walking away again.

((+1 to Shadowcraft's idea.  Also, is there going to be an "Official" event for the trial?  I know Durmla would at least like to witness the trial, if she isn't asked to testify (by either side of the argument, even...).  If so, could someone post the scheduled time?))

No official word has been released yet from the Shadowdale Government regarding the fate of Jack Maybe.

After the arrival of yet another prisoner from Shadowdale Captain Chandler (Sabi, Sabel) announces her intention to visit the Arena in Slaver Haven. Claiming she is likely to put her next sparing partner in the infirmary, or seek some 'alone time' with the first prisoner if she can not let out some of her real aggression.

If seen in Free Haven she should indeed be spotted at the Arena, and entering various other adult entertainment venues.

Jack just sits in his cell, tired from his work out and anticipating his trial. He is oblivious that across from him is the Heretic Hector Waynard.

Jack has refused to eat or drink anything within the past day.

If questioned, all he says is, "I want my trial."

Day 2, and Jack has not eaten anything. He took a mouthful of water, and poured the rest out. His health deteriorating fast.

"...I want my trial..."

Utterly unaware that Jack is on a hunger strike, the Sheriff comes to the keep, informing the guards that the prisoner will need to be readied for travel.

Jack is on day five without food.


He mostly sleeps.

"I want a trial."

Celovar Approaches Arjay

This is your prisoner, you take the lead. I am just there for back up in case it turns bloody. Dont worry I am not going for a fight.

"This should be straightforward. Just keep an eye on the prisoner, make sure he doesn't start casting when someone's distracted. I've got a couple wands of silence for if we need them."

He'd then tell the Hound guards to have Jack bound and brought out to the cart he'd arranged to carry them to the meeting site.

((Assuming the Hounds follow the command))

Jack-very weak now-went on the strike at his own disadvantage. He is being led out. As he realizes he isn't getting the trial he demanded, he attempts to resist, but is too weak to successfully resist them.

He would attempt to resist being bound by stretching his arms, and gagged by attempting to bite them. "I demand the trial!"
