Cowsbane is a rather common plant in the area. The best "cure" for it is feeding the afflicted charcoal. Also some basic neutralize poison spells will help greatly. The spells will help in the short term however more grain will still need to be gathered.

A few days later Kal comes back to the Sheriff's office. He waits for a bit, if the sheriff meets him he thanks him for not letting the group fall to prey of their anger. While at the time they wanted to hurt the man, now thaey have time to reflect on it they are glad they didn't. Thankfully the Sheriff was there to stop them.

After the talk he asks when the hanging will happen as a number of folk want to see the man get what's comming to him according to the Law.
