Happening around town

A woman in red, one with vampire skulls on her shoulders, can be seen directing a female sun elf, a forest master, toward the town. As the forest master enters the town to heal all she can, the woman in red is seen walking off to the east.

Tarik still guarding the north gate is grateful for the assistance from the guards the man not having left his post other then to patrol the surrounding area and only to return. He has yet to get any sleep and the dark circles and bloodshot eyes are evident of this. He has a new found wand he was able to purchase from Arjay now being able to cast dismissal on fifty two people as he has fifty charges and two scrolls of dismissal left now.

He continues to tend to those that he can pushing himself to stay away and occasionally seen drinking from a few vials strapped to his side, the contents are dark red. After dealing with a few pedestrians here and there he would cast another dismissal spell on himself just to make sure, not taking the chance of becoming infected.

When the guards stop the Sheriff's family from leaving he furrows his brow and clanks up approaching his wand in one hand and a half empty vial in the other hand as he tends to be drinking from it at the time.

"Excuse me, Sirs? Is there a reason they aren't allowed to leave town? I will cast dismissal on them and tend to them with what little supplies I have left. Also if you could get a runner to the East Gate that would be appreciated. I am running low on herbs and healing supplies and some relief would be appreciated for yourselves and if we could get an escort for those gathered here to get them to safety. "

As he speaks he would reach up rubbing the side of his head over the solar plexus the toll of lack of sleep and the contents of the vial straining him mentally but physically he seems a tad refreshed from the contents in the vial.

When Shariff Jacob is approached by the man who speaks of the Dismissal he screams out in pain and drops to his knees. His wife and child back away and beg for someone to help the man before he dies!

*As Jonah sends out the latest group of refugees, and wishes them safe travels, he takes a moment to speak to Lucent*

"I'm not sure what you mean by 'what's with her', but I haven't seen Laura since sending her off to Myth Drannor to learn that spell. I must admit that I'm getting concerned for her safety. Can you be more specific?"

*Jonah greets Gethein warmly as he arrives. Unfortunately, it seems he is too far away to hear the cries for help at the North Gate.*

Gethein beams happily at Jonah and strikes a dramatic chord on his lute.

"Ah, my friend, I'm glad to have found you!
An aura of weariness hangs all around you.
Just tell me where you think that I am most needed.
Distinguishing 'twixt the untainted and seeded?
Supplying the disheartened people with beverage?
Or guards at the gate with a little more leverage?
My favorite tonics are music and laughter,
but tell me your wishes and I'll follow after."

While working tirelessly to notice the infected, Lucent would notice [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] coming back and sigh relieved, pointing her out at Jonah as they speak.

As the two Ilmaterians catch up, Lucent would leave them to make sure nobody's left in town and would walk past the Old Skull towards the Twisted Tower, to check on his camp in Shadowdale West and see if there's any trace of the creatures around to be reported.

Train continues to watch the guards until Sheriff Jacobs falls to the ground screaming, his eyes open wide in shock as his jaw slacks a bit in shock at first as he was not expecting Sheriff Jacobs to be infected nor have such a violent reaction.

"D*** it!"

He holds up the want in his hand and with his understanding of the device he gets its magic to flicker and activate aimed at Sheriff Jacobs. His other hand quickly hefts up and downs the contents quickly before tossing the vial to the side and pointing to the family members of Sheriff Jacobs trying to talk calmly to them while he keeps his want pointed at Sheriff Jacobs and walking towards him in a manner of urgency.

"You lot get back and stay away from your husband. I will do what I can for him, do not get close an don't go any where. I will need to cast dismissal on you all as well."

Tarim would look to the other guards a moment asking for their assistance in the matter.

"Guards I need you to keep an eye on the family make sure nothing happens to them. Also some one please assist me with the Sheriff."

Jonah is busy around the hospital.  Having too many to care for in one building, Jonah sets up some pavilion tents as an Overflow area.  He has been working for two days straight now, through the night, and into the following days.


In the Overflow, he deals with common community problems, like fever...

When sister Laura rejoins the Hospital, Jonah and she have a brief meeting to update each other. When they return to their duties at the Hospital, it seems they have discovered a name for this strange disease:

"Voxcerbrosus"

The disease is indeed supernatural in nature, and quite vicious-sounding, but not without means to cure it. The key, Jonah assures his patients, is to maintain the quarantine, and to avoid exposing others. As it turns out, it is more difficult to catch than it seems, but caution is still needed.

Jonah and Laura continue their works to prepare others for evacuation.

Jacob's family is huddle away fom the man wailing in fear for the man. The guards, either not knowing what is going on or in fear of getting the plague stand in shocked silance watching the poor man.

Jacob screams and writhes in pain on the ground he yells; "Just kill me! I will not let you hurt my family anymore! They know and will send you back to what ever HELL you crawled out off!"

It is clear you only have moments to act before the man is dead.

The bodies go up in smoke and is easy to spot for miles, as the heat needed to destroy a body completly is very high. Yet the stink of burnt flesh and the smoke of burning fat linger much long and spread far...

As the cat follows the tracks other gnolls soon join them, then leave. More and more gnoll tracks cross those of whom you follow as you get closer to the caves of the gnolls. It seems some of the creatures are hidding amoung the gnolls now in fox ridge.

A child is at the camp East of Shadowdale. He was part of a group that was found south of the road. He tells the story of how some milita grabbed him and his friends while they were playing:

"The Militia said if we acted good no one would be hurt. As we were leaving another man from outside stopped us. The leader of the Militia told the man to let them go or he would Kill US! But then the Militia man said he didn't want to hurt anyone, but didn't want to die either." the child tears up.

"then the man throw a bag at us and the militiamen started screaming out in pain and falling over...my friends were killed. the outisder grabbed me and threw me out of the weeds and told me to run as he attacked the Militamen." The child crys.."My friends are all dead now."

Tarik no longer being able to bear the screaming of Sheriff Jacobs he quickly casts Dismissal on him with his wand in hand. He continues to step closer to him getting ready to aid him after the departure of the being with in his body just incase, his medical knowledge being above barely average (Currently 24 Heal).

"S***, s***, s***."

He basically goes from walking up to Sheriff Jacobs after the dismissal was cast to a full on sprint looking quite awkward in his full plate. His other hand fishing around in his satchel pulling out some medicinal supplies by the hand full.

*During a trip between the Hospital and the Overflow Pavilion, Jonah takes a moment to find Gethein again among the chaos.*

"Apologies, my friend. You are very much needed here. If you are able to cast the spell, please help the other magi in keeping watch for this sickness. I'm sure many of them could teach it to you. Otherwise, we could all use a little mirth today. If you could play something appropriate to the circumstances; perhaps a tune of hopeful times ahead, it would be greatly appreciated..."

If one takes the rushing water as a metaphor, its really quite powerful.

*As Ravossel walks through the camp at east shadowdale she has the Sense life spell on, taking a few moments to see who may or may not have the worm.*

* Upon hearing the crys of the child in the camp, Ravossel makes her way to the child. Takes a very brief moment to see if the child is infected or not. To see if any one is helping the poor soul.*

After having gathered fresh supplies from what taverns and farmers are brave enough to open their doors, Gethein sets them beside the fire and returns to his work.

He spends most of his time marching near the fountain in Shadowdale Central, his expression relentlessly cheerful despite all weather, weariness, and worry as he strums his lute with blistered fingers and sings of the praiseworthy perseverance of the Dalefolk. He pauses from his merrymaking to focus scrutinizing eyes and magic on any who pass by before starting with his usual, joyous greetings and offers of food and drink.

"These streets, they are risky! The times, they are dire!
But a bottle of whiskey and rest by the fire
will make a heart frisky that sought to retire.

If your spirits are shaken and about to resign,
there's a box of raw bacon and bottles of wine,
all free to be taken. Your pleasure is mine!"

After having talked with Laura by the Shadowdale east gate Azzelas can be seen helping the people in the camps setting up campfires to keep them warm.

He would light up the fires and if the farmers have no wood ready would help them gather the wood with chopping up trees and cutting them to pieces.

Once all the farmers are supposedly warmed up he would return to the gate and wait for an official answer on the offer he made to Laura about buying dismissal wands in worth of 250 000 coins and giving them to the clergy.

Another group has evacuated, following a mysterious woman in a green hood. Laura is seen looking them over before sending them on her way. She retreats back into the town center once they leave and continues her duties tending to the hospital and townsfolk.

Ken is occasionally seen looking over the townspeople in the East of Shadowdale, and the posts. Most of the time he is seen patrolling the nearby surrounding lands with his sword equipped with determination of halting any stray infected.

Ken seems to be exhausted, but keeps a watchful eye on his surroundings.

Having spoken with Bryanna at The Cossroads Ranya travels about the woods and fields near Shadowdale looking for groups making camps and advising they make for Myth Drannor..he would offer to guide any whom want to go seeking to gather as many willing into larger groups before making the trip

The panther spends time watching the gnolls for any further spread before dissapearing back into the undergrowth.

Later a hooded figure approached a group standing outside shadowdale, she passed a message on, leaving just as quickly as she arrived ((done IG))

The sheriff lays on the ground seeming half ead, his heart is racing but his skin is cold and clamy. "It wantedd to leave town..head for Free Haven. I don't know why...It's gone...gone" he begins to to tear up and just lays there.

His wife and son wait for the Okay to go to him.

The Helmed Paladin looks south towards the place where the twisted tower stood, and seeing the massive wave, and having seen sort of similar effects before, and likely soon also hearing news of the cleansing, the elf sigh, and begins a slow and tired walk back to Myth Drannor

Tohrm meandered into town after his journey from Myth Drannor and began inquiring about the bug plague worm stuff far planar shenanigans. If he was told that it had been fixed (mostly) he would just wander into the Old Skull Inn and get a drink.
