Panic in Freehaven Empty
PostSubject: Panic in Freehaven   Panic in Freehaven EmptySat Mar 22, 2014 10:19 pm

the People of Freehaven are in panic as news reach them that a army of undead that has appeared somehow in the daggerhills and has marched on Dondarions Castle and entered it without any struggle from the undead there.

Some bold people who dared to venture out of the pallisades have seen giant undead looking over the walls and burning Skeletons patrolling around the Castle.

Some merchants already beging packing up their belonging as they dont have any faith in Freehaven being able to withstand any attack by such a force of undead.

The Freehaven Militia is trying to prepare a defense of the Underground City and all people living above ground have been brought into the village below.

The self proclaimed rulers or caretakers of Freehaven, the wizards of the Enclave are without any leadership with the Khazark missing and rumors of infighting among their ranks have made the rounds.

In the dead of night, Hector lurks on a hill in the distance, observing Dondarion Castle, observing the undead's movement and looking for signs of intelligent leaders that might be patrolling the undead ranks.

Upon hearing this rumor Uspir writes a letter and sends it off via a reanimated raven to Dondarions Castle .

"To Whom may find this and whom is the Commander of the newly Formed Necropopulis of Dondarions Castle.

I am Uspir, Arch Mage of the Realms and a remarkably easy person to get along with. I humbly request permission to come to your Dondarions Castle so that I might speak to you in regards to Freehaven and perhaps speak of how I might be able to be of service to you, my specialization in the Arcane Arts happens to be Evocation, which includes the knowledge and ability to manipulate large amounts of Positive and Negitive, as well as the converting of mass amounts of one into the other..

I look forward to your reply, please attach such reply to the Ravens leg and pat is once on the head, this will signal it to return to me, failing that if you wish to keep the Raven for yourself, which you are most welcome to do, please send your reply to

The Merchents Stall by the pond, with a tent next to it and a Robed Dark Elf female sat in a chair reading a book..

Kind Regards

Hector would notice quite a number of intelligent Undead leading groups of varied Undead. The groups remain close to the castle and in sight of each other. Among the parapets rusty armor and weapons can be seen.

At night he would notice very large numbers of incorpereal undead that rise from the ground and move about the hills, occasionally moving under the surface again.

Hector would also notice that the Hills Nomads have fled the area.

@shadowcraft: pm send for some clarification.

Ticla being present in Freehaven joins the remaing slaves (if they are still present) in Freehaven, making sure the refugees are cared for, and would hand out blankets, help in the kitchens and work with her fellow slaves on the tasks they were given to them.

Every refugee Ticla helps she treats with uttermost respect and kindness.

A warm dress she posessed; a gift from Mark, she hands out to a refugee that needed it more than she does. Generosity perhaps, but a clear sign Ticla knew her place in this time of need. She herself settles with a simple, ragged slavetunic and a rope around her waist.

Maya arrives to the deserts of the daggerhills to collect some karan shrubs so she can work on the cure against the plague. When she sees the gathering of the dead she fully lifts up her protection magics and tells her cat familiar to bring written message to others about this. When the cat leaves, Maya attacks the undead unless they try to have conversation with her, which is most likely to end up with Maya attacking them anyway. She would start to attack lesser undead with fire that are around the castle, hoping that all of them will retreat to castle and stay behind the gates ... well one of the "Maya Ideas" and logics.

Hector summons his vampire servant after his inspection.

"Go to their castle, tell them the Faceless one wishes to speak."

With that the vampire would turn and head into the castle with Hector's orders.

((unsure where this falls in line with Maya's attack but *shrugs*))

After some time Leo arrives on a hill with wolf spirit. He slows down his running and stops at the edge of the hill to scan the undead army in the distance while breathing heavily. His worried eyes are searching for any sign of battle, he is trying to spot if there any trace of Maya. If she is still alive and battling them, Leo would join her as a rescuer with purpose to get her out of there. But the view of that number of undead would awake fear even in this Lyon.

A score of Drow wearing the red of Dabel'kith are seen in the tunnels leading to freehaven but not leaving the tunnels for the moment. A well dressed female also wearing reds and the vestments of a high ranking priestess exits the tunnel, she approaches a guard.

After being sent a reply from the Undead. Uspir would walk towards the Castle upon a star filled night, stopping about 400 Yards away before warding herself, she would then channel raw negative energy and shadow into herself, grunting as she uses her Highest Circle of Magic to trancemutate her flesh until a shadowy version of herself remained. (Reduce Person then Shapechange: Nightwalker Form) The small shadowy Uspir would then slowly walk/drift towards the gates, awaiting them to open for her before venturing inside for her... date...

Some of the Freehaven Militia Rogues would send the Drow representatives to the Red Wizard Compound.

After speaking with the enclave the priestess returns back to the Underdark.

Shortly after her departure several guards wearing fullplate and helms with cloaks of red are seen standing by in the north western area, in the area around the tunnel to the underdark.

Several workers also fully hooded are seen entering the building just inside that compound, seeming to be repurposing something inside.

Later that day several more guards dressed the same turn up from the tunnels also standing vigil. Their purpose seems to be to guard.

Kasia spends a day traveling through the Daggerhills, from the south fort to the castle near Freehaven, trying to search for any pockets of undead that may be moving away from the castle or scouting the regions closer to Shadowdale. She makes use of the Detect Undead spell to aid in her search.

If she stumbles upon one such group, she'll attempt to follow it to its destination.

A thin spindly man ina hooded robe, with rust red skin and ice blue cat like eyes, watches Freehaven and the undead fortress from atop the hill overlooking Freehaven.  If anyone or anything approaches him, he ducks into the scorpion cave and disappears.

Jude takes notes of the undead movements - types - and numbers, seeks signs of the rumored dracolich, and watches who goes in and out of Freehaven.

Watching from the hills he would notice many Groups of undead wandering around the Hills..
Most of them concentrated near the Castle.

Skeletons, some of them aflame, led by full armored humanoids (due to the armor the race is not distinguishable).
packs of Ghouls and Ghast roam the area in masses.

The few men of the Freehaven Militia would be busy building barricades to Close the gap in the wooden pallisade enclosing the few above ground houses.

At night they would light the area as bright as possible with magical lights provided by the Red Wizard enclave.

Arila Hekate arrives in Free Haven, though she does not seem too concerned with the undead -- just yet, anyway. She rents out a room at a local inn for a tenday, and then wanders about the town, simply observing.

Arila spends the better part of the day observing the commoners: getting a sense for morale, what state their defences are in, and just what their current needs may be.
