Preparation of Refugees

After the retaking of Shadowdale, Kendra sees that Bryanna has things in the city well organized as far as defenses are beginning. She makes her way back to Myth Drannor and alerts the refugees that they will soon be traveling back to Shadowdale. She makes sure to answer any questions they may have, putting on a smile as much as she can despite how exhausted she is. She makes sure to have some fresh baked cookies for the children as she goes around to each family, speaking to them one by one. She does not rest until each family is talked to about the situation.

Explaining the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], she explains to those who are willing to listen of the families that help is needed within the city once they get there if they are willing to volunteer. She lists off each task that they are attempting to designate.

She tells them to begin to gather their things and be prepared for escorts back to town in small groups. She sees to that each family that is escorted is cleared by an escort that she knows personally and trusts fully.

She would coordinate any and all efforts with the elves in their gates being used at the docks and thank them graciously, even making sure some cookies were left for them since they had likely been at the gates for a long time.

(EDIT: It seems I read this wrong the first time; Jonah would obviously greet Kendra when/if she made it all the way back to Shadowdale, not at the gates of Myth Drannor)

*Jonah greets Kendra and the refugees warmly, and with a small team of Clerics assembled across many faiths to help him tend to any injury or illness the returning folk may have suffered on the way home.*

It seems that North Shadowdale is still off limits for now, Kendra. I have room left in the Hospital for anyone displaced.

Imesah, gladdened that this horror is over, offers to help with the moving of refugees back to their homes.

Given that Mark was the one doing the evacuation efforts, he offers his services to walk them back to town.

Imesah makes a point of convincing those with children to remain with the refugees. She states Lady Bryanna has stressed that it is simply too dangerous in Shadowdale at this time for those with children to return just yet. If they need convincing she brings up the threat of the undead to try to convince them to stay.

A letter is sent to Kendra and other notables among the refugee's in Lathandar's farmlands.

Deputy Mayor Kendra and whom it may concern,

At this time I do not deem it safe for noncombatants and children to return to Shadowdale. In order to avoid overwhelming our reduced forces, as well as our ability to screen and process new arrivals I am asking that anyone unable or unwilling to bear arms in defense of Shadowdale remain in Myth Drannor. This is due to the continued violent threats around Shadowdale by armed forces. Please do not start organizing a return to Shadowdale until you receive word to do so from myself or Commander Taeron.

Kendra obviously looks grateful for any and all help given by Imesah, Jonah, and Mark. When she receives the letter from Bryanna, she seems a bit confused, but pens a note back sent with some of the refugees if they are willing to bear arms.

"Deputy Mayor Bryanna,

Apologies, as I must have misinterpreted things when we last spoke.

Those that are willing to bear arms and assist in the defense of our town will be sent as you have asked. If you have any more non-combatants in the city, please send them this way. I will work with the City of Song to be sure they are safe and comfortable.

When we get a chance, we need to speak. I recommend setting up a meeting soon. Please stay safe, my friend.
