PostSubject: Sy´Tel Quessir refugees   Sy´Tel Quessir refugees EmptyThu Aug 14, 2014 5:55 pm

a few days ago Akh´Velahr Soldiers rescued the small nomadic tribe of Dulnessan. The thiry or so Sy´Tel Quessir Warriors and their families where attacked by Undead while investigating a dead part of the Woods.
They are now tending to their wounded and their dead, having set up a camp inside of Myth Drannor near the trade quarter.

more than a dozen dead have been brought to the Temple of the Seldarine where their dead bodies are now prepared for a funeral.
The Dulnessan leader, Ilthirina, insists that all their dead are buried in the Vale of lost voices, as is tradition in their tribe.

My'manir takes her time to get up in the morning of the day after the Syl'Tel'Quessir refugees were safely brought to Myth Drannor and she visits what place they have been allocated.

She arrives wearing her usual hide suit with a flowing green cloak hanging from her shoulders. She carries a rather heavy looking bag with her.

She then looks around the place to inspect how they are doing since the events of the past day.

the atmosphere in the small camp is very somber as the Dulnessan mourn their dead... among them their honored elder and druid.

My'manir walks amongst them, stopping to comfort those she can however it may be possible, otherwise she does little else for the time being than sharing the sorrows of the dead with them. For that a non-natural death amongst elves was a burden to be shared.

Celedien arrives not so long after, bringing with her most of the things which might come in handy with the recently departed, and if allowed, would help in the preparation of the burial. In her mind, anyone who fought for their lands and families, deserves at least a proper burial.

She also bring along some common supplies, blankets, bread, fruit. And whichever the group might request, which is within her power to provide.

Thalanodel moves to the area to investigate how close the undeads are to the border. He wants to understand how close they reached the mythal and if it is working at full strengh. To do so, the mage would aproach their leader first to get directions to it, and learn what attacked the tribe (which kind of undeads, their numbers, and maybe any leadership).

The Keeper would approach Ilthirina

The help and offered assitance from Myma´nir, Celedien, Ryn´ja and Elrich would be well received (though some of the Wildelves would only grudginly accept help from Elric, him being humanblooded and them obviously not used to much human company)

Thalanodel would find one very large area where most plants seem to have died of some magical cause.
He would spot a few elven druids moving through the area, carefully tending to some small saplings. While watchful elven rangers Keep an eye on the surrounding Wood. This area seems to be an "older" occurance.

He would also find a smaller area but as much dead as the first. This one totally devoid of any life Vegetation.

Both areas are within one day march from the City of song.

Thalanodel will search the area trying to see any magical remains. He will ask the higher ranked druid about what kind of power could do that to the plants, trying to gather any usefull information with they. He will contact the rangers to see if they have found any tracks that leads to undead army, and what kind of tracks do they found at the area. He will ask to both the druid and ranger groups search and gather any hints that they can find on that smaller area, specially a link of the undead force.

The honor is ours kin. We did nothing less than our duty, and nothing diferent than I'm certain you would do for us, if we were in your place... the passage of quessir saddens me, and each arakhora departing is a bit of hope we lose, but we shall prevail.
Sadly the Vale of Lost Voices curently is a conflict area, and one of the first we are trying to expell the undeads, our patrols there were intensified but I have to be honest, there is danger curently, and the bodies could be blasphemed by the undeads if they have an opportunity. The mathor-selmiira can consecrate the bodies to avoid them of be raised... and I of course can see for Akh'Velahr escort to help you.

The Druids working in the "older" dead area would tell Thalanodel that they suspect the Undead used some Epic Spell ritual to kill all live in this area.

How close is that area from the Mythal? Is the dead area growing on size, or are the plants recovering naturally on the next day? Are there any hints about the spawn point of the undead army? Are there any undead bodies to be studied or maybe any magical residues on the area?

"Those are a lot of questions kin, and some of them i could probably answer, but may i ask with whom i speak before i succumb to your interrogation" Says one of the older Or´Tel`Quessir Druids, half in jest but with a serious undertone.

The Druid looks him up and down... "A great name and great expectations coming with it then kin, i hope you can live up to them. Call me Quelthir for now" he nods slightly

"so let us continue with your little interrogation then.. mmh?" the aged Or´Tel´Quessir chuckles slightly before his demeanor turns serious again.
"This dead area we stand in, nor the new one nearby grows. All plant and animal life in them have been killed by vile Magic. We are repairing the damage done to this part as we speak, but it will take decades until the forest here is fully healed.
When this area was created months ago there were undead as well, they have laid to rest already. There is no magical residue that i know of...
are we done here with your questioning young proud Neidre? Because i have duties to attend.."

with that he nods a last time to the sun elf and turns to the other Druids again to tend to the ravaged forest.
