Researching the Liches

Kalin was in the Myth Drannor library for over an hour, happily combing the stacks, before he realized that he had yet to perform any actual research. Turning towards the front desk, he stopped dead in his tracks, a surprising sight before him. Standing across from a nearby table was a familiar mass of red hair and patchwork green leathers, causing him to blink and blurt out, “Miss Lhanir?” The Archdruidess looked around a moment longer before her gaze settled on Kalin, speaking with the same impassive tone as always, “Looking for answers?”

“Yep… Well, just gawking for the moment, but soon, yes. And yourself?”
“Recently as well. Are you here to search for information on the men that became liches?”
“Mmhm. I am hoping that, at the very least, they might have some records on the fey’ri one, Vesryn.”

“Hm, well, they will at least have information regarding fey’ri… Perhaps though he is in one of their historical tomes. Which…” She eyed the rows upon rows of books as the thought drifted, then added, “… Can be pointed out by the librarians.” The abrupt ending to such a promising beginning caught Kalin off guard, causing him to fumble his words, with Lhanir picking up where she left off, “Well, better start with the head of the ‘department’ then…”

“… Which is who, exactly? . . . Ah.” Lhanir had already begun walking towards the blue-haired head librarian before Kalin even finished his sentence. Leaning over the counter a bit, she smiled politely to the elf and said, “If you could direct us to the historical section for Myth Drannor, I would be most grateful.”

The two meandered over to the historical section, with Lhanir checking the spines for any relevant titles. Doubting that they could find what they wanted on their own, Kalin soon returned to the head librarian and simply asked her if she could direct him to any books or records referencing the fey’ri lich Vesyrn, his unnamed partner in lichdom, and their connection to and history with Myth Drannor and its ruins. He also asks about books that speak of the fey’ri and lichdom in general, wanting to learn all he can about what they are and any weaknesses they might possess.

Imesah, who is still spending some of her time researching in the library, happens upon the two.

She says, "I have heard you mention the liches; you are researching them? I would point you to Lord Blue, but I haven't seen him in some time. If you give me some time I can get some information together for you. I would only ask that if you find anything new you let the Dawnspire know. Is that agreeable?"

He blinks, turns towards her, and beams!

"We are indeed! And I had already intended to ask Mister Blue to join us, but did not know where he lives, so your timing is most convenient. Any help you and Mister Blue can offer us would be most welcome... Do you just wish to know about the liches, or would you also like to hear of Castle  Dondarion, the undead, Free Haven's defenses, and all that nonsense?"

Imesah having reminded him, he spins back around and asks the head librarian if she has anything about Castle Dondarion as well.

She smiles before saying, "Any information that will help us deal with this threat would be most welcome. I don't believe we have met. I am Imesah," she offers a half bow, "I will begin the work of compiling that information for you, and if I see Lord Blue I will send him your way."

The Librarian would hear Kalins request and shake her head

"We dont have works on "Fey´ri Liches"..  Infact you will not find much works on Fey´ri in General. The most references on Fey´ri you would probably find in the reports of the Crusade Army that battled Saryas Fey´ri Army, those however are in the care of the Akh´Velahr and not stored in our library.
You could look into history books dealing with Arcorar, where the Daemonfey first emerged and later Siluvanede, i am sure there will be some passages dealing with their crimes.
I will doubt you will find much about a particular "Vesryn" however. That is a not so rare Ar´Tel Quessir name.
As for general Information on Liches, we have a few books yes.
I am afraid you will need more Information to narrow down your search as your Information is much to General to start a search."

Imesah returns and after finding Kalin hands him a missive. "This should include information that will help you in your research and ultimately help all of us in combating this menace. Let me know what you find."

Kalin would thank the librarian, then head back to the stacks to read up on liches, the Daemonfey, Arcorar, and Siluvanede. Once Imesah returned, he would read the letter, then beam and thank her profusely, rushing to show Lhanir what was written before heading out the door. Traveling to the nearest Akh´Velahr base, he would ask to speak with whoever could give him access to the Akh´Velahrs' archives. If questioned, he would tell them that he is researching the undead army, and that he's most interested in:

- "The reports of the Crusade Army that battled Saryas Fey´ri Army".
- Any information about the "Tower of Bones" in old Myth Drannor.
- Any records of an elf necromancer turned lich by the name of "Detherian Elnorn".

When Kalin ask the Guards at the entrance of the Akh´Velahr Barracks they would tell him he would need to contact the Keeper Nadin Moonbolt (Forum Vall Moon) about this.

After some back-and-forth correspondence with the Keeper, Kalin heads back to the library, content to leave the Ahk'Velahr records and research to Nadin.
