As the sun started to rise over the horizon, and people began their daily routines throughout the Dales. Those traveling through the Crossroads would come across a gruesome scene near the southern homestead. A man in a gold and red scalemail, his arms roped above his head like a puppet, eyes, ears, and tongue all removed. His chest piece ruined at his feet allowing all to see the symbol of Cyric carved into his flesh. Further investigation would lead individuals to a blood soaked boat along the Edge of Cormathor shore, its only contents: a bloodied cloth.

Those who knew the man would barely be able to recognize him as Niilarr Geram, a Caravan Sargent for Vivar Mercantile.

From the shadows , a teifling appears , and inspects the corpse. Her regular rounds and patrol for yhe House of Reddmption, interrupted by this scene. Her eyes do not show even remote emotion over the gruesome nature.
She inspects the sockets, oral cavity, body as well as the obvious Cyric marking,
She is immediately aware that this is likely one of two things... A very public statement by Cyricists to provoke the people's of the Dales... Or... Some one else going to extreme lengths to create a backlash against the Cyricists ...
She considers the anatomy closely, to see if the gory disfiguration was done before or after death . This would be evident by bleeding patterns, dried blood, signs of struggle during torture , or not...
