A patrol comes down to the House of Redemption in the night.

A patrol of five men come down to the House, fully buffed. They do not enter.

Jack, Julius, and three Swordhand Elites.

Jack would speak with any whom come to meet them.

"I have heard that you are hiding a traitor to the Zhentarim refuge here. I want her handed over." Pause. "Now. You will get the coin associated with her bounty."

*Julius just stands there, spear butt in ground, combing at his hair with his fingers as he waits.*

Keillyn is also there as a victim of circumstance. She chooses the most inopportune times to come for tea.

I really must find a better place for this. She thinks to herself as the zhents walk down the road only a few feet from her.

Mark who frequents the road since it's one of the ways to the Cormanthor forest would walks near Keillyn on the road and shrug "Beshaba must be having fun with me right now" he would say looking with curiosity towards the House, eager to see the answer.

*A white robed figure darts inside from the roof top.*

*Crypto runs into Rav who's a bit frantic and tries to calm her down to get out of her what is going on. After a short chat Crypto heads out to the front porch to meet with Jack and see what this is all about. He's in his pipe smoking robe and has a martini in one hand, hair a bit mushed up from just waking up or something.*

Greetings Weavemaster...

*he sips looking over the 5 stern and formidable looking Zhent-folk*

What seems to be the trouble?

"Commander, now..." He correct Crypto.

"I have heard Sandra Kezzeri might be taking refuge here. If not, she has been spotted here from time to time. I want her handed over. She is not yours to keep, or hide away."

*Affter her talk with Crypto, Ravossel heads back up onto the roof, with her bow in hand. Upon reaching the door Ravossel looks down at the five heavly armored troops.*

Keillyn glanced to Mark as he walked up. It wasn't that she felt at ease with him being around, but there is a comfort in being in a snake pit with familiar company. She gives the patrol some room, partially because that is what you do for zhent patrols and subsequently to make certain she was not lumped into association with them.

Of course, with side stepping away from them it brought her closer to Mark. Another person who she shouldn't be caught having an association with. She took the lesser evil and clasped her hands behind her back. Her attention drawn back to the patrol at the mention of Sandra.

"Perhaps." She answered Mark. Keillyn had taken an interest in the traitorous zhent Sandra. She listened to the conversation from a distance. "Or Tymora."

*Crypto furls a brow and searches for the memory of the familiar name*

Sorry, Commander *dips head* I met a Sandra here once, believe she was with that Bryanna person and they were arguing. That Mark person was just outside with some chronies and wanted to break Sandra's legs or smash her face in or something. I didn't really feel like getting involved and there was even more arguing and threats outside and I started shooing people away. Believe this is the first and last I saw or heard of her and this was at least 3 weeks ago.

*raises a brow* How much is the bounty for her? We are... after all... a business operation.

*polite smile*

"Commander Chandler and the House of Damnation doing business, this was all that I needed to confirm it" Mark muttered under his breath with a wicked smile "Beshaba smiled... upon them" said with a wink towards Keillyn and left in a hurry

Milo grumbles out of bed, head pounding, stomach churning with rot gut. He throws on his armor and grabs his blades, sliding them into their scabbards. He heads for the front door where he meets the Headmaster.

"Rrrnnn...Headmaster....the hells is going on? What's with the bell?" Looks around at the five men with one eye squinted.

Azzelas would pass by the road overhearing the talk about Sandra.

"That unmannered child. How utterly unsuprising shes a traitor. Whats her whereabout worth to you?"

Hearing the alarm bells from her seat at a nearby campsite, a young woman would lift a black lacquer mask to her face and raise a dark hood made of a strange fine silk over her hair. Rising from her resting spot, she'd head in the direction of the House of Redemption. Circling around, she'd approach from behind the building, coming up to the corner and leaning against the wall. Glancing between Crypto and the Zhentarim present, she'd remain silent for the time being, merely being present to start, and though she wore two handaxes at her hip, she didn't seem to have any intention of drawing them thus far.

"She is worth twenty thousand coin, to any willing. Bring her dead or alive. But I want her body back." He says to any who are listening.

Then back to Crypto, "If I found out I've been lied to, I will not take kindly to it. But I will refrain from demanding a search...for now."

With that, Jack leads the men away.

As the soldiers leave Azzelas makes a remark in passing. "I wonder what her life is worth to those who want her alive. Whoever that might be."

*Crypto sips his martini and waves lightly*

"Alrighty then. Good luck with the traitor person. Fair day to you all."

*He'd watch them march off, scratch his belly and yawn, look over the proceeding of the fortification wall and South watch tower... he'd try to mention to Azzelas quietly before Azz wanders off."

"I'd be curious how much she's worth safe to anyone myself."

*He sips his martini and shrugs*

"Business is business... be well Azzelas."

*He'd head inside to mull through the guest logs and have a bowl of fresh rabbit stew.*

Elektra, coming down the road toward the House, carrying a bag full of new shoe boxes and new dresses, would meet the Zhents face to face as they were leaving.
Her mouth drops open as her eyes spot them.
"Hey hey ...", she would begin, still holding all of her shopping treasures, "I am Elektra, Cofounder of the House of Redemption, High Judicator of the Court and law giver of the lands of Misty Falls, ... Eh... What ever your business here is, it needs go through me. Now, what the hells ??".

(( if the full explanation was the previous stated info , her response would be :
" No such person has been granted asylum , nor am I aware of said individual staying in nor on our lands, house nor property. We have no reason to hide people. Why would we sacrifice the safety of our entire House and sovereignty over some thing like this??? And do NOT accuse me of lies... Especially while standing on our soil. I have no idea what kinds if dishonorable crap you are used to dealing with, but what I say is truth.
We have, within our laws, limits on what an individual of our membership can bring upon the House in the form of trouble , danger and risk... How much less will we tolerate an outsider's actions of this kind? Think about it.
If such a person is using us as a scape goat for their crimes, they will be ejected. From that point, such things would no longer be of our concern."

*Julius just follows jack back obediently. Before he is out of sight, he can be seen to apply some sort of vial to a cloth and dap it lightly on both sides of his neck*

Azzelas would nod approvingly to Crypto then grin to Elektra.
"Give a child a toy and it overuses it, eventually it breaks. Let Crypto handle diplomacy if your busy with..." Azzelas eyes her shoe boxes "...High Judicator business.."

Tracks meander through the forest in all directions, in every shape and size...to those attuned to the ways of the wild, who see such signs as instinctively as a wolf follows a scent, the woodland seemed more like a busy highway than a quiet wilderness.

Some of the things in the forest did more than notice. They actively seek out such trails. Most of the time, they were too old to lead to what was sought...the trail entered caves, or led to the dead regions covered with the piles of stone the humans made as their lairs.

Today, though, a trail led to one such pile of stone that stood alone in the forest, overlooking the river...and stopped outside for a time. Green, predatory eyes watched with the infinite patience of those who embed themselves fully in the Now...waiting, and waiting, watching for the opportunity to strike...

But the Prey was not alone, and the Predator was. The opportunity never came. The pack of Prey moved away, and the Predator followed as far as was possible, but the Prey knew the forest had fangs, and was wary.

That was fine. This Predator could go a long time without feeding, and knew that even a great feast of Prey would not abate the hunger for more. But as the panther knows to lurk above a deer trail, this Predator knew to return to the pile of stone. For all creatures move in patterns, and the Prey was no different. The Prey would return to the pile of stone, as certain as the rains would come again.

Green, predatory eyes watched the empty road by the river. Activity around the pile of stone was a distraction, worthy of glances and occasionally forcing a change of position. But the time slid by unnoticed, as the Predator waited, and waited, and watched for the opportunity to strike...

*For the past couple of moons... something else wanders the wilds outside of the river-front keep. It makes no sound that hound can hear, it casts no shadow that hawk could see, yet it leaves faint clues that it was there... a smudged boot heal from a large man in the dirt... a broken twig... a single black hair from a woolen cloak. It follows some of the other tracks, particularly the humanoids... The woodland critters that can commune with druid and feral folk speak of a chill that wanders the grounds around the stone fort. It is cold and dark... calm and lonely... like the slumber of death.

Where it has been it leaves cave troll urine in a wide circle around the house to try to keep the feral folk and critters at a nice comfee distance from the keep. If it crosses the path of a feral it would likely give some ominous sign as to it's presence.*

We have a hard enough time with the undead, the silly Zhents, the troll infections, *sighs softly* well in short order this will be cleaned up, and back in order.

Quit mucking with my feral deterrents, else keep your insane woodland friends in line. We got enough freako's coming and going to worry about.

Keillyn continued to watch silently from the sidelines. The zhents left, others joined. She listened to Mark plot, and Azzelas ponder aloud. All of which seemed to float over her. She was there, but not. Keillyn had a knack for being detached from a scene. She could stand there quietly for hours and overhear entire conversations without being asked to leave. At times it was annoying, especially when she wanted to participate. But in times like these, it was a strong talent to have.
