| Word spreads of festivities in the works for the townspeople of Shadowdale. Even in light of various disputes within the city and a darkness looming over the lands the people seem happy, even excited to join together as a community.
Those who listen to the townspeople would hear of archery, skill and even eating contests. Nearby merchants from other places in the Dales could be noticed moving their wears to Shadowdale in anticipation for the festival. Mention of the Elders and other prominent figures making an appearance also sounds likely.

| Elder Torst has been seen wandering the center of Shadowdale as of recent. Speaking to people and adventurers alike, while coordinating and organizing laborers and merchants in preparation for the festival. | |

| The Ranger know as Hawk would wander into the town rather early in the morning. A basket is over his shoulders, where his backpack normally rests. He sets it down in front of one of the Town Laborers who is setting up the Event. "Fish, caught fresh, no plague, for the Festival, took me all night, but the catch was well worth it." Inside of the basket are pre-gutted Salmon, Pike and river Trout. "Need anything else jus' let me know." He quickly adds after, "Be sure to put 'em somewhere cold, or on ice." | |

| Wandering from the House of plently Sophia is carrying in both hand two basket, one filled with ears of Corn and the the other filled with eggs. Setting them down, covering them with cloth to keep the light for souring the food, she simply smiles
" From the House of Plenty, and the Mother's grace upon this most joyous occasion"

| A woman in battered and tarnished armor has been walking the 'Ride escorting merchants free of charge if they so desire it through the more dangerous portions. Those who refuse her aid are given suggestions and advised of the more orc, troll and bandit infested parts.
When asked her name, she just replies with "Ro."
If questioned as to her motives she would state "I like zhe food and drinkz you all travel zuch a long vay to sell, Yah?" her odd accent and skin tone are quite Romani like.
As soon as they are close enough to the town, she departs back up the road to escort the next group that accepts. She will refuse any coin offered, but would state a bit of exotic food or drink would be reward enough, but only if offered.

| A few hours later Sophia would return with a small crate of Meats atop them a small crate of Vegetables. She would chuckle softly she sees Elder Torst
"Elder," Respectfully dips her head "We , have these Meats and Vegetables. They may feed an army "Chuckles Softly, looking around at the others helping set the Tents, if any are about. Sighing, Sophia dips her head respectfully to Elder Torst

| Anyn simply looks around town for any signs of crowds or merchants or performers.
"Should be starting soon, shouldn't it?" He mutters to himself. |

| * Though out most of the festival Ravossel mainly sits off to the side in a corner, remaining overly quite just watching, as she sits there.* | |

| As the Festivites, progress, watching all have a wonderful night, Sophia would speak with the Elder Torst, and donating several bars of Darksteel to Shadowdale. With the beginning of the Meat eating contest, Sophia would depart to collect something from the House of Plenty, before returning with a crate of cooked Fruit Pies. Leaving them on the Table after the contest is over, Sophia would have softly clapped for the farmer and all who had entered. Speaking breifly to Sister Laura, and to Ravossell, watching the children run about content, the Archery contest would begin. | |

| ((Doing this since Revenant hasn't got to it.))
The Festivities happen, people laughing, seemingly enjoying themselves. An eating competition gets underway, the winners William Dawn and Ranya tying. The farmers, guards, and all citizens seem to enjoy some music played by a woman with a lute, clapping along with the beat.
Once the eating competition is finished, people gather for the archery competition. Lined along the line of hay, there are quite a number; it will need to be done three at a time though, since there are only three targets. Elder Torst raises a hand with a bright smile, happy that things are going well. The moment he begins to lower his hand to single them to 'fire', a farmer whom is a father to two children drops to his knees, vomiting blood. In his pocket was a vial of poison.
Elder Torst does not see this and lowers his hand to have them engage the targets. The moment the boards are slammed into by the competitor's arrows, a flash of an explosion happens and the bales of hay the targets were on burst into flames.
As this happens, a few other people drop to their kneels with blood being vomited and pouring from their nose and ears. Chaos ensues, and people do what they can to save as many as were effected. All in all, eight people die from what seems to be poison. People lock themselves in their home after getting tended to, some of them beginning to write angry letters to the Elders.
Along one of the paths is a guard whom's throat has been slit. There are no signs of struggle, and it seems the woman guard was taken by surprise, her eyes wide open with terror, hands near her bloodied throat. A note was seen sticking out of her pocket, then obtained by someone. After being passed along eventually to Elder Torst, two half-drow are detained for questioning.
It seems one half drow that was around at the time slipped away in the confusion and chaos. She is no where to be found.
All in all, eight people were killed from poisoning, and one guard assassinated. The people of the city are a mixture of fearful, angry, and helpless. Whispers flow through the air between people that this was a ploy by the half-bloods of the town showing their true colors.
