The Honored Dead 500px-Heroes_vs_Undead_Werewolves

The most recent attack on shadowdale came from the west, the undead, who do not need to breath simply marched though the rivers of the land as they headed towards the West of Shadowdale, where no walls would be waiting to stop them from entering.

Lucky for the Town though heros noticed the slow moving group of undead that wadded though the river's middle under its waters, as the heroes ran and raised the alarm a small force of defenders were assembled who would meet the undead at the west of shadowdale.

The defending force consisted of:

Twenty Shadowdale Guardsmen

Ten Elven Defenders

Six Elven Archers

And about twelve local heroes.

there was a moment of tension in the air at first as the twenty skeletal undead, who seemed to have once been the very Swordhands of the Zhentilia that held Shadowdale in a strangehold of domination merely stood there waiting, their armor and weapons rusted and battle born, clearly these corpses were months old.

After terms being offered by the undead abominations, terms that were considered unacceptable, a battle commenced, and the undead, cut thought the ranks of the defenders, while the defenders slowled them down enough for spells to rain down on the undead and even put a number of them down, the remaining undead slaughted the Elves, the Guardsmen and ten heroes leaving only an Elven Arch Mage and certain Hin of Legend. The two battled with the remain undead almost falling themselves at one point, but they managed to hold the West....

after the battle, the two started raising the other heroes, and after the heros had all cleared off, new Guardsmen and some citizens of Shadowdale could be seen collecting the Fallen, taking them into the House of Plenty to cleanse the bodies and ready them for their final rites, or in the elves case readying them for collection.

Within the House of Plenty, Sophia would wander about from each Guardsman and Hero, offering care and cleansing their wounds with Divine magic and/or re-bandaging any bumps and bruises. To the honored dead of the Shadowdale Guard she would offer a simple ceremony of final rite. She would have to write to the Elders to arrange that they be buried with their loved one but their bodies consecrated, or those that died violent deaths should be  burned to prevent them, Rising as undead.

Looking to the Elven, men and women that had fallen they were left, alone though often checked on, out of courtesy for the bravery to defend Shadowdale once more from the Zhentarim, even the undead Zhentarim. Sophia would later have to write to the Coronal explaining what had transpired.

Should any of those brave heroes wish healing, it would be offered and given if asked for, She would never force a healing upon anyone unless circumstance called for it. She would often sigh softly as she would wander about from body to body, wondering.

Almost the instant after having left the inn room at the Old Skull, having woken up to a strange woman with a message, a young, female elf with silvery white hair visits the temple. She has a strange, out-of-place sort of look on her face.

Glancing around, she goes to the first official looking person she sees. "Greetings. Could you tell me who to speak to about the elven warriors that fell resently here in town? I wish to know when they are to be moved to Myth Drannor and who is in charge of it."

The Guard would look to her and seem to ponder for a moment. "I personally know not, mm perhaps you could see the Captain of the guard, maybe you could actually help us with a task in regards to the bodies of the honored fallen, you can find him at the guard house.."

She nods, still with that strange look on her face, and goes to the guard house to ask the captain.

The Captain looks up from his Desk, a old man that looks like he as seen and been though alot, bald and with ice blue eyes the old looking human glances up form his desk and nods softly at her question. "We have yet to hear word from our Allies in Myth Drannor, I fear the message Runner I sent may have been waylaid. Mm perhaps you could aid me, if you would be willing to take a message for me to the Keeper of Myth Drannor it would be a boon to me, what say you girl?"

The elf considers for about a second before she nods.

"Myth Drannor was to be my next stop anyway." She glances around shortly, and lowers her voice a bit if there are any people around who might overhear. "I was warned.. that.. that the Coven - I don't know if you've heard of them yet, apparently they have been very active lately - that they are plotting to ambush the transport of the elven bodies to steal them." Her expression is rather serious, puzzled and showing great distaste towards the plan she just explained.

The Captain blinks. "What?! ..... this is..... troubling.... very.... troubling.... Alright, I need to you head to Myth Drannor, ask to speak to the Keeper and inform them about this, and ask him how he wishes the Honored dead to be returned to their home to be put to rest, then return here with his answer."

Nods. "Will do so." She makes a salute, though not quite as formal as it would have been for one officially under his command, but it might reveal that she has some military experience. Then she departs to Myth Drannor as fast as possible.

((Since this happened some days ago, can I just go ahead and post in MD forum right away?))
