Wu Ling sits at the Shadowdale Inn

*The Kara-Tur Hin sits at the bar, atop his pack for extra height to reach the counter. He drinks his ale and smokes his pipe.*

A hooded figure in dirty padded cloth sits at the corner bench opposite the main door way ((as you walk in, its the table in the corner where the wall on your left where Franz stands meets the wall ahead of you)). He sits hunched over, scribbling something as well, and he occasionally stops to pick leaves and twigs and burs out his armor. He softly hums an elven tune with moments of whispered singing peppering the melody.

Ling Eyes Nix up and down with small grin. "Lurian Best, when get low. Say eh... Lamb?" He asks in his broken common, considering with a puff. He also places enough gold on the counter that would probably cover his tab for the night, plus tips. "Yes, lamb. Tell Wu Ling this... which elven you? Go to Elven city, fascinate sight. I like practice elven." He says some very basic elven to try to impress her, though the grammar isn't that good.

Side glances at the writing man and gives him little attention, more interested in flirting with the barmaid at the moment.

Sylira Fry came into the Skull drooping. Her robes were sagging on her slight frame, her hair, never well-tressed at the best of times, looked as though squirrels had been fighting in it. She slumped into a seat in the booth near the bards and signaled the serving maid. "Wine please - as deep and rich a red as you can find. And maybe some bread and cheese please?"  Her voice was rough and a little strained as though it had already been operating at a fast pace most of the day.

As the him started to practice his linguistic elven, though, Lira's slender shoulders tightened. She flickered a glance at the small fellow i his stack if packs at the bar, and it didn't take genius to see that the elven language, despite (or perhaps because?) of her slightly pointed ears, made her tense.

Nix looks to the small Hin and offers a smile. "Oh nicely spoken, my name is Nix, I am what is commonly known as a Moon Elf." She says with a smile as she goes about getting the drinks order, placing a Lurian Best before the small Hin and a wine before Sylira, calling out. "One Mint Lamb pie, and bread and cheese!" to the cook in the near by room.

Looking to those near her at the Bar, Nix slowly cocks her head. "I use to be an adventurer once upon a time, I do miss it now and then, ha, more so when I hear exciting rumors of places near by, so what do you all do?" She asks those near by.

Wu Ling nods slowly. "Ah yes... Wu Ling traveler, see many sites in west lands. Find these lands have treble. Wu Ling not want treble. Is thinking, perhaps teach common folk to defend self, even without weapon. Wise man say... Best person to help one is self." Being a lot more open to the barmaid then normal. He takes another puff puff of the pipe.

You are a Monk are you? I once traveled with a monk, he use to drink, alot, and fought like, well it is hard to describe haha. So have you found any studenta yet?

Lira listened to the chatter, a half-smile on her face, then she sipped at the red wine, letting it soothe her after the day she'd had. She let out a little sigh and spoke. "I'm trying to get the Shadowdale hospital prepared in case there is need...because of the horde of things out there." She took another deep sip. "Trying to teach folks some self-defense is a good thing, sounds like. I hope that you can do some good for people." She smiled at the hin and raised her glass to him, letting some more of the wine slip down her throat.

Wu continues smiling at the barmaid. "Monk... Yes, have training. No pupil though." Looks considerately at his pipe. "Is good, but only one eh... Hin. Not have money to start facility. Perhaps, time tell yes?" He would look in Sylira and raise his ale to her in response. "Also thinking... fighting style work, effective... this not problem if weird. Only need success."

Malkaris looks up and peers idly at the others at the talk of dojos and adventuring. His light also seems to "look" up in their direction.

"You know... A hospital wouldn't be a bad idea. There seems to only be one temple here and I'd hate to see how many people would die from lack of help due to the staff being overworked..." he says, running the fingers of his free hand through his hair as he peeks at Lira from over his journal, eyes shimmering with a blue luminescence.

"Same with the facility where people learn how to defend themselves. So many dangers here, it would do them good to learn how to fight." He continues, still hiding behind his journal almost comically. He pauses a moment and adds something else to his journal.

Ling smiles and waves at Carmyn, seemingly having a great time. "Lurian Best quite good if not know what want. Is what Wu Ling has." Giving her a wink, then takes a drink himself.

Lira greeted the bread and cheese enthusiastically and energetically. "Priestessing is famishing sometimes!"  She engulfed a big hunk then washed it down with wine.  She signaled Nix for a refill with a wave and a smile then transferred it to Malkarris at his seat. "I could hope there isn't need for a hospital but...well plan for the worst seems wise in these times. In case of an assault we shall need all the aid we can get."  She took another few nibbles of cheese then noticed the newly arrived Carmyne. She smiled and waved at the lass, remembering a brief but friendly conversation.

"Does anyone know of other healers about town that I might be a le to persuade to serve at the hospital if..."  Her voice trailed off as if reluctant to fill in a likely cause.

Nix would go around tending to peoples orders and collecting coin, when done she would grab a rag and start to clean the bar's surface. "Mm well master monk, you could always just arrange with people to meet up someplace, and hold class in the out doors." she would say before looking to the priestess. "Sounds like a lovely idea, maybe you should speak to the harvest mother about it, or perhaps put up a few flyers in town?" she says before looking to the note being given to her and smiling at its contents. "Thankyou, you too."

She smiles warmly at the hin, inclining her head slightly

"Lurians best is it? Well then I shall have to give it a try good ser."

With that, she raises a hand to get the barkeeps attention and catches sight of Lira, offering her a bright smile and a wave of her hand in response.

Lira's ears perked at the waitress' suggestions. "Hmmm.  Flyers that sounds like a fine thought!  Thank you Miss."  She took out some writing supplies - parchment, quill, ink horn, sand - and chewed at the end of the quill for a few moments. She Scratched a few strokes on the parchment then wrinkled her nose.

"By the gods I'm a horrible artist. These look more like mutant ooze monsters than healing hands."  Lira's glance slide over to the blaze of Carmyne and her smile bloomed bright again.  "Know of any atheistic types who might like to help with a worthy cause?"

Ling quiets down some now, perhaps pondering the barmaids suggestion. He puffs his pipe, drinking occasionally and eating about half his meal.

The Harvest Mother would wander into the Inn, a few times that night, with bushels and baskets of fruit and vegetables and leave them at the counter towards Myra. Dearest Myra, a gift from the House of Plenty, to those that come for food, Customer or Citizen, is to be given some, Do not charge those that are in desperate need, aid whom you can, and above all, keep warm this cold winter. She would start too turn , then look back as if remebering Blankets and Meat will be delivered soon, Flour and dairy, with several Eggs.

The Kara-Tur Hin would watch the harvest mother do her thing the first time, then stop her on the second trip. "Wondering... who you?" From his chair at the bar as he sets his pipe down to talk to her. "Why drop off things no charge?"

She would arch an eyebrow at Lira's words, taking her mug of Lurians best and depositing the coinage for both her drink and a generous tip on the bar.

"Perhaps I can be of assistance?" She says as she moves over to Lira's position, peering quizzically at the parchment. Drink in hand.

The priestess drew on some reserves of energy and beamed at Carmyne. "I want to make some fliers to hang around town - hopefully to interest some folks with healing ability to come assist at the town hospital." 
Lira paused to consider a moment. "I was thinking a drawing of a pair of hands, open and inviting, at the top, with words written large  'Do you have the healing touch?' And then below that I'd write in the details". Another pause as Lira took a fortifying drink. "But the artwork and title would hopefully be eye-catching, and therefore someone with skill should do it. For my drawing skills are akin to a goblin's diplomacy...that is to say, non-existent. 

She peered at Carnyne then flashed her brightest smile. "Does that sound like a goodly idea?  Do you know of anyone who might be able to assist me?"

Taking a sip from her mug and nodding faintly as Lira speaks, she then places one hand on the parchment. "I may not be the best artist, but my penmanship is quite good. I wouldn't mind lending a hand."
She smiles warmly "With the flyers I mean. I'll be spending most of my time on the forefront of this battle more than likely." Furrows her brow a moment as she studies Lira's face. "Sylira isn't it?
