Funeral of Elder Farl *RESCHEDULED*

An announcement is made in town that the funeral of Elder Farl will be held today. It is made very clear that disruptions will not be tolerated and should there be the slightest bit of interruption/issues, said person will be escorted out of town immediately. Guards will be patrolling with care and those of the militia will have the right to search anyone upon request due to the nature of this event.

It is said that the funeral pyre will be held next to the House of Plenty (though carefully positioned so as not to cause a fire). The Chaunteans seem rather shaken and displeased at the fact it has to be a pyre. Much like when his son passed, with the threat of the Undead, they realize the imperative nature of making sure Elder Farl can not be raised and used against the town by the liches.  

Preparations happen throughout the day.

\\However, due to the time in which it is happening, Zeric will be defending the Lyon Forest -- so Kain won't physically be able to make it to the funeral despite Farl being the only elder he actually felt he could somewhat relate to.\\

As the moon began to rise, hundred of people gathered to a stone that had been prepared outside of the House of Plenty. Logs surrounding the stone as well as a number of flowers and grains rested around the body, ready to be burned as well.

After a number of words from a few of the attendees, the pyre was lit. The broken spirits of the citizens could be seen, and it was very clear that Elder Rory was rather broken about it all. Elder Torst seemed in shock, mixed a bit with anger. As the body began to burn, the bardess whom stays in the Inn stepped forward and sang a song.



Needless to say, many tears fell. Into the rest of the night, the pyre burned and guards stood watch, each of them with a single glass of some sort of spirits to toast to the flames.
