Knighs of the Dawn arrive in Shadowdale

The early morning brings a stirring of dust on the eastern road and the gleam of dawnlight on polished armor.

Once greetings are exchanged with the town guards, twenty-seven men and women in full plate march in formation into the town center, their shields bearing the sunspokes of Lathander.

One of the knights steps forward, removing her helm, and asks politely to speak to the one called Klix.

Once Klix has been found, the woman unfurls a little scroll and reads the following:

Dale of Shadows, you are not alone.
The Dawnspire has not quit its brothers in faith,
Or its sisters of the Harvest.

Though hope is fleeting, it has not fled.
It is in the Hills, the Farms, the City.
Ties are frayed, but they are not sundered.

Know, by our presence, in this dark hour,
That loyalty and sacrifice will abide,
Until Dawn again shall have its day.

Dale of Shadows, do not yet despair,
For, where there is Shadow, there must be Light.

She puts the scroll away and says: "We twenty-seven Knights of the Dawnspire bring greetings from Mornmaster Berun and High Dawnlord Cleophus Kinn. We stand ready as allies in your defense, joining the thirteen stationed here to make us forty strong. Your orders, Administrator?"

After her morning prayers, Leeora can be seen in her Sunrobe moving about the town of Shadowdale as if looking for someone. Upon seeing the gathering of Dawn Knights, she excitedly makes her way over, beaming a bright smile. She doesn't say anything just yet, clasping her hands in front of her politely.

Upon their arrival and up until now, the Dawnknights have received no orders other than being asked to assist in upholding the peace and patrolling the town.  On midday of the 16th of Tarsakh, Klix would approach one of the Dawnknights with a two scrolls in hand, each scroll containing a differing request of them.

"Divide the tasks amongst yourself as you see necessary, friend."

*The orders are hastily forwarded to Leeora, recently arrived back in Shadowdale after a trip to Myth Drannor and charged by the Dawnspire to be a liaison between the Dawn Knights and the town*

Leeora receives the orders and continues her search of Klix so that she may speak with him.

Beyond being occasionally on a "break" he allows himself out into town, where he advertises his business, coordinates meetings, smiths, etcetera. Klix is often kept in his office, shuffling through letters and charters.  Should Leeora visit his office, the chance of their encounter rises, should she not. During midday to evening times she may catch him strolling the streets of Shadowdale.

After taking the time to speak to Klix about these matters and get a more definitive statement of where they are needed, Leeora and the Dawnknights would be found patrolling around the North towards the Kobold mines as well as West Shadowdale. They organize themselves roughly half and half, switching up their routes every now and then and keeping an organized schedule of swaps.

They make sure to have Detect Undead blessings readily active, keeping to the law and sticking to casting outside of town when necessary. ((North where the Kobold Mines are is abandoned and has no townsguard patrols anymore, iirc. The wall of the city does not extend past the Silverhand manor.))
