Darting through the shadows as only some could, Hawkley would patrol the Edges of the Daggerhills.. Marking the movement of the undead and making sure that none crossed over the border. His keen eyes were sunken, as he had not rested for a night or two, yet the Woodsman carried on- Being sure to keep vigilant in what he thought was his duty to the Dales.

"Can't seem to find them as easily as I should be able to.." Hawkley mused to himself quietly, as he had not yet caught sight of any movement.

Huffing a quiet sigh, he'd peer off into the distance, hoping to catch some sort of patrol..

Deciding it was best to return to being hidden, he'd take a step back into a shadow.. The darkness collapsing around him like a cloak.

Occasionally, a fellow Circle ranger or two would be given orders to follow Hawkley, assisting in his scouting missions to the west of the Cormanthor.

Hawk would welcome the help of the other Woodwalkers with open arms.. Explaining to them briefly that they were to make it back to the Circle no matter what, he'd then motion them onto different areas of the border - Hawkley however took the largest slice of land to cover for himself..

And so the patrol continued, in hopes to find some answer to the Undeads movement.

Every so often, the gnome known as Sordoc can be seen observing the daggerhills from the stone circle atop the tallest peak close to the shadowdale border. He seems mostly intent on watching the deserts, but he will offer a cup of tea to the border patrollers that approach his camp. He does seem wary of members of the circle though.

It seems the Undead have taken to pulling their forces towards the two reinforced forts. Things seem rather quiet at the time being. Perhaps they are regaining their forces over time.

Having a quick cup of tea with Sordoc, the Ranger would have offered the gnome a pot of honey to share. Downing the drink quickly he would refocus his efforts for the time being on the two reinforced Forts.. It was a while since he had moved and he knew he couldn't linger for much longer.

One night the group would have seen a massive amount of Undead heading South towards Shadowdale. The sheer number of hundreds would have been overwhelming and the group would have known it was unwise to attack, lest they fall.

It wasn't long before the Undead then made their way back to the North in streams, carrying bodies of the dead with them. Some of the bodies had already been raised, uniforms of guards and militia and other groups seen on their person.

Cursing softly under his breath, Hawkley would continue to monitor thier movements- A sad face was apparent on his face, he knew he had missed his chance to warn the town of the approach; and it would have appeared to be of dire consequence.

With this being said, Hawkley also took advantage of the situation and when the enemy had made a move he would have searched- Even crossing deeper into the Daggerhills.

He looked for the following: What places were defended the most? The routes that the Undead took to leave the Daggerhills? Where would be the easier place to launch a future counter attack? And anything else that he would notice.

With the Attack in Shadowdale over and some calm restores, Sordoc returns to his usual camp spot on the high point close to the edge of the dagger hills. He does seem to be doing some digging, in various spots, muttering to himself, taking soil samples, and occasionally trying to knock chips off some of the rocks sticking out. It would seem he was looking for something, but from his grumblings, there doesn't seem to be a vague idea of what he's looking for.

He does how ever keep a pot of tea ready on the fire, with a pot of honey to sweeten it, for any other people on border patrols.

Mineva reaches the edge of the Daggerhills and frowns. She pauses for moment then finds her way after Hawkley. She asks for his aid in checking the old Gypsy fort for any sort of magic portal.

Whilst in the crater camp, and to any patrollers who approaches, He consults with them over the idea of setting up a forward camp, something defensible but abandon able if an when need be, perhaps with a firewood beacon to give Shadowdale some fore notice of large groups of undead.
