Defense plans.

A man about average height and decorated in well ornamented armor of fine make is seen walking around going from vendor to vendor purchasing vials of holy water and sediment stone. When he finishes his round at the vendors he would head to the House of Plenty. Upon entering he would head towards the Priestess.

"Excuse me, divine matron. I was wondering if I could acquire as many Holy Symbols and Holy Water you might have. Also if I could speak to you on matters of hallowfication?"

Anna looks to the man and smiles warmly. She motions him to have a seat on the bench should he wish.

"Holy symbols and holy water. The water should be no problem. It may take a while to create a large amount, as our divine blessings are not infinite. We need our rest after performing so many rituals and working towards the alchemy of it. If you are looking for a large supply of it, perhaps there are some adventures in the region that would be willing to aid as well. I think there are a few around here that have the capabilities of making it."

She steps over to one of the bread baskets and pulls out a blueberry muffin, offering it to him politely with a smile. "If you are hungry."

"The symbols themselves will be a bit trickier, but I have believe that we can get a woodworker or two to carve more out. We can bless them afterwards. It may take a few days. I hope that's no problem. What would you like to know about a Hallowing?" The priestess takes a seat on the bench.

Therion takes the muffin and dips his head in gratitude, though merely a formality. He waits for the woman to be seated and remains standing for a moment or two before finally easing down into the bench opposite of Sister Anna.

"Thank you for the muffin. I figured the Symbols would take some time but if there is anything that can be done to help out in the matter please do not hesitate to ask."

He shifts a moment and takes a small bite from the muffin chewing with his mouth closed savoring the muffin for the time being until finished. He reaches into his satchel and plucks out a small map of the region with a few circles over key points of interest along the river beds and entrances.

"I am curious about the whole process. I'm not fully aware of the length of time required to perform such as well as all the materials needed. I was wondering you wouldn't mind telling me?"

A warm smile crosses the woman's face as Therion remains so polite. She waits until he finishes eating the muffin and then looks over the map he provides.

"Ah, you mean to hallow these areas? I can understand why. I've heard about these Undead in the River and it's absolutely dreadful. I've spoken to Commander Vorik about my concerns..." Her voice trails off a bit and her cheeks flush just a slight tint of red. "And he assures me they're trying to come up with a sort of net to stop things."

"Oh! The details on the hallowing, yes. It takes a full day of prayer to complete, so the areas would have to be guarded well while the priests and priestesses worked. As far as materials are concerned, we use herbs, oils, incense, and powdered silver. A spell can be attached to it as well, depending on what's best for the situation. I'd recommend Death Ward to be attached there. I would have to calculate just how much all the materials would cost though."

He shifts a bit and nods his head in response.

"Yes I'm aware of the net plan, already. There is a bit of complication with it as well as time to. I would like something that can be done in a bit more of a hurry if you will."

He listens as the Harvest Mistress describes what information she is willing to part with regarding the hallowing until she is finished. He furrows his brows a moment and lets out a faint sigh.

"Well can you please tell me the cost for all of this. Also I was hoping to hallow a few areas so it will take more time then I like but the river can wait for now. I'm more concern with the safety of the citizens. I would like to get a few places hallowed within the city as a means to shelter themselves. Also if you can tell me where the supplies could be acquired would be appreciated as well."

He offers up a brief warm smile.

It had been a fortuitous meeting with Sir (or was or Ser?) Therion.  Lira hadn't expected to learn so much about alchemy in the discussion, but she realized how much she still had to learn!  

Still, they had decided on a reasonable division of labor with Anaerion.  He was a rather interesting fellow - it had been a while since she has met someone who mistook a brazier for a missing acquaintance - but he certainly seemed to know how alchemy. Lira certainly wouldn't have wished to work on the exploding stuff on a date!

But she was supposed to coordinate the Divine. She smiled - definitely good solid priestess-y stuff. Therion had explained how he wished to have places of refuge for the non-combatants of the town, as well as see if there was a way to produce the rather prodigious amounts of Holy Water Therion's plans called for. Alchemy was probably going to be prohibitive for that...but first things first. Time to go and consult with the priestess Therion had already established contact with concerning the matter of Hallowing. Lira, as usual, had some ideas about it, but she would need to talk with the devotee of Chauntea. Anna.  That was her name, if Lira recalled correctly. She headed for the temple...

Lira introduced herself when the priestess came to greet her. "Good day!  My name is Sylira Fry, priestess of Torm the True, and I work with Sister Laura at the hospital."  She gave one of her brightest smiles, for the gardens of this House always made her happy. "I'm working with Sir Therion regarding his plan for defending the town from the undead.  I'm supposed to help out with Divine matters?  I thought it might be good to start with Hallowing of sanctuaries...

"For refugees in town, we have two temples - this and the house of the Moonmaiden. These should be hallowed ground already, yes?  As well, I think it might be a good idea to Hallow the hospital. There could well be casualties, it will have a staff of healers there, and it is centrally located. So hopefully a tactically and spiritually sound choice. 

"I have a supply of powdered silver that we can use. As well, there are blessed of the faith of Ilmater who can lead the hallowing for the hospital, and I know of some more who are similarly aligned from a spiritual sense who can help in the ritual. Does that sound like a viable plan, miss Anna?"

"The cost will have to be determined after you figure out exactly which areas you want to do. When you decide on that, let me know and I can get a better estimate for you. If you're doing multiple areas, it may be a bit expensive," she said, giving him a bit of an apologetic look. "But other supplies for this can be found many places. We have a number of them within our Temple here, and I'm sure other Temples would have some as well. Other than that, I'm sure such things can be purchased from merchants if we don't have enough, or an inquiry with some of the adventurers could do."

Anna smiles warmly and offers her to sit with her in the Gardens outside. "Ah, with Sister Laura? She's such a lovely person. I don't think I know anyone who's worked to hard to help these people. Oh, Ser Therion was just in here the other day inquiring about Hallowing as well. I think the hospital should definitely be the main priority here. I agree!" She nods to Lira. "The other temples are indeed hallowed ground, yes."
