**A notice is pinned to Boards around Shadowdale and soon its content is shared to those unable to read**

Today, 13 of ches 1382 DR.

A gruesome discovery was made this morning. The corpses of Alabaster Duran and his wife Elizabetha, John Goodman and his wife Eleanor as we as Alma Thornhand were found in a bloody display of savagery.

Mrs. Thornhand is survived by her beloved husband, Gilbert who was still alive but in critical condition when friends came looking for him. He was immediately brought to a priestess’ care and has since been stabilized. His body will likely remained crippled for life but that pales in comparison to the horrors that marked last night.

According to Mr. Thornhand, he was tortured for pure pleasure of a Drow raiding party in front of his beloved wife and children. When they finally grew tired of it, they executed Mrs. Thornhand and desecrated her corpse while forcing everyone to look powerless. The children were abducted and Mr. Thornhand left to bleed to death, next to his wife’s corpse.

From Mr. Thornhand’s description of the event, it seems that the Duran’s and Goodmans were also victims of the Drow raid party.

The children of the couples aged between 4 and 8 years old all are missing and presumed to be held captive by the Drows.
The missing children are:

Lea, 4 & Dylan, 6 Durant
Billy, 2 & Jenna, 4 Goodman
Lucrecia, 8, Grace, 7, Erin, 6 Thornhand

Adventurers are promised a reward for the recovery of the children and the capture of the Drows responsible.

The Government of Shadowdale would like to remind everyone to barricade their doors and windows at night if you’re not within the perimeter of the inner walls.

Cruven reads the notice and a grim scowl crosses his face. Directly after he could be seen going to his mercenaries stationed around town and telling them to increase patrols at night and to report any possible sightings to him directly.

**Shadows can be seen lurking at night but when guards are approaching or light is cast in the general direction nothing more and ruffled leaves and branches can be seen.**

The reception of this news has the newly arrived Firewalker greviously upset, the priestess would soon after make a more staunch effort to locate other disciples of the flame within Shadowdale and the volcano nearby.

The new activity of this mercenary band might also draft her attention as she would soon volunteer to provide her divine magics to assist these patrols in the wake of this tragedy. It seems doubtful to her that the ever watching flames of Kossuth would be denied such an opportunity to illuminate the darkness.

"Huh" Lynathi reads the notice, a feeling of horror and pity mixing within her. Sighing deeply, she wanders off. Sad...horrible. What kind of person would do such a thing?

Hummm...a raiding party? But why here and now...she shakes her head as if to rid herself of a malign thought. Gods, Lyanthi. And what are you going to do? You can hardly beat up on a Goblin. Look around...maybe run if I have to. Stupid girl. You're going to go and get yourself killed.

She rolls her eyes with a slight wry grin and heads back over to the farmlands. Yep stupid...she shrugs.
