A Written Invitation

I write this because we no longer have the luxury of time on our side. As a region we can no longer afford to section ourselves off from each other while Zsalat stands and continues to gather power. The longer we wait, the longer we cloister ourselves in our small circles, the more of an advantage he gains over us, as those driven by fear, greed or a lust for power begin to align themselves with his new order. I have watched this threat grow from the seemingly random openings of portals and the gathering of raw materials to the now precise strikes that are being carried out. I have fought every step of the way over these last months, bleeding myself dry to try and combat this but every small victory only manages to pull back the curtain a little further and expose the complexity of the enemy we face.

I call upon you, as I have called upon everyone in the region, to share what knowledge you have so that nothing is left hidden from each other. I do not ask this for fame, or glory or personal gain, nor do I ask so that one faction may gain power. I am not a representative of any guild, and none count me among their ranks. I ask this because it is what must be done.

Above all I ask for trust in this moment, when a monster rises before us, one who has spent an unknowable amount of time consolidating his power, one that will not stop with the destruction of one city. I do not ask for peace among your factions, only a moment of cooperation until he lays dead and buried. I call you to join me in a meeting to be held at Misty Falls, the closest thing to neutral ground we have in the hopes that we may all gain from this.
