A New Keeper in Myth Drannor

The Coronal announces that the long serving and loyal Auryne will be the Keeper while Gode is away. All rights and responsibilities will be hers.

An elf in a black robe hears of the announcement, and shakes his head at the amount of humans that are now flooding the ranks of the defenders. He throws off his cloak, burying it under a tree, so that he might retrieve it, should the symbol on it's back begin to mean anything again.

His work done, he begins to walk away from the scene, his mouth moving gently to recite an old, familiar, bladesong...

*Hearing about this resignment Auryne is a bit sad to loose him. Even though they didnt even meet once. She is a bit suprised about his reasons though. Looking over her list of mathors and recruits she finds the names of only three humans, one of them a full Mathor, two recruits.
"mmh, not even a fourth of our forces.. must be a different reason then" *shaking her head, she puts aside that report and turns to the next on her piling desk*

Upon hearing of Sayiel's banishment from their ranks, he walks back to the tree, digging out the cloak with his bare hands. He gently lays the cloak on the ground, spread out, before pulling a long, iron sword off of his back. Using magic, he snaps the blade in half, sticking the hilted part through the symbol on the cloak.

He finishes this ensemble by muttering a few well chosen verses, reaching out his hands, setting the cloak aflame. He watches it burn, determination in his eyes, disappointment aching in his fingers, as they stroke the hilt of his own sword, sheathed at his side.

The elf trembles with anger.

Maybe no one saw it. In that case, nothing happened and the gesture brought comfort to the distressed elf.

Maybe they did. If they did, the report that reached the Coronal would land on her desk.

Those who were in teh Ahk'Velahr needed to understand moderation, restraint and wisdom. They needed to understand that standards of behaviour were expected and to be held to. If they could not understand and show this, it was better they were no longer part.


But those who treated the Royal symbol of House Miriatar which held and wielded the Ruler's Blade with such disrespect, however, were banished. They had spat on the Queen and on her sponsor, the Queen of Evermeet. Friendship was highly to be honoured but she could not think that Sayiel Lo'Ran, who was misguided but had tried her best, would like this. Slightly sadly, she hoped she would not.

If the actions were seen, this ex-recruit was banned from Myth Drannor.

Amavin watches as the anger filled elf defiles the cloak. She frowns in disapproval at the disrespect she sees coming from the former defender. The symbol of her cloak could have been seen by Valnaire as she walked toward the barracks to report to Auryne the disrespect she just witnessed. She is disappointed by the behavior of her kin and all she can think is: "I truly am a long way from home."

As the act -was- observed, the elf Valnaire is now banned from Myth Drannor.

Those who leave the Ahk'Velahr, Mathors or Recruits are expected to hand their cloaks and keys in
